It's time for another update from Walt Disney World where there seems to be a major project going on at every park. Well, 3 out of 4. =) Today we're taking a look at Disney's Hollywood Studios as they are beginning the celebration of their 30th year. This update features a look at Star Wars Land and the all new Incredibles area. Written by Renée Girard It’s a good day when you snag a Slinky Dog Dash FP when you wake up. Still bringing in the crowds with a 110 minute wait. A peek at the current Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge construction. The 30th anniversary banners for Disney’s Hollywood Studios are appearing throughout the park. I’m pretty psyched that Num Num Cookie has made its way to the east coast. The new Incredibles area has made good use of the former Pixar Place at DHS. The Edna Mode experience and Super Shindig are some of the great character interactions you can find at the Incredible Celebration. The news reporter and other actors appearing as citizens of the city of Municiberg are very entertaining. The artwork along the walls for An Incredible Celebration are definitely appealing to those looking for those Instagram-worthy photos. Always awesome to see the March of the First Order along the streets of DHS. Related Videos

While some of us were sitting at home watching tape delayed NYE Celebrations (seriously, it's 2019, how is it the west coast still gets tape delayed celebrations at midnight?), some of Team Park Journey were spending the New Year in style in Florida. And not just at one park like a bunch of amateurs, but at ALL FOUR PARKS, and Disney Springs. Let's check it out!! New Years Eve, EveThe white fences are up! Ralph is ready. Bring on the New Year’s Eve masses! The Christmas tree is already gone at Epcot. I seem to remember it staying up a week or so into the new year in the past. Epcot is busy now, but this will be wall to wall people at this time tomorrow. Very light crowds in the World Showcase right now. Tomorrow will be another story. Today was the final day for the Holidays Around the World at Epcot, including the Candlelight Processional, narrated by Cal Ripken Jr. tonight. It’s gonna be lit (literally, with fire and lasers) tomorrow night to ring in the new year in China and Italy’s New Years EveCurrently the only place in all of Walt Disney World where you won’t get slammed in the shins with a stroller. My face looking at all of the ride wait times on the Disney Parks app and it’s not even 10am. 150 minute wait for Rock N Roller Coaster right now. Not too busy at this hat and horn distribution area at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Looking over Main Street ready to watch the 6:30pm Fantasy in the Sky fireworks in a few minutes! Fantasy in the Sky fireworks are so impressive! And now the crowds continue to pour in and out of Main Street as the night continues Over at Animal Kingdom, Flight of Passage is only at a 90 minute wait! Goodnight Pandora! This place is still amazing as ever. One more park to go. Epcot, we’re coming your way! 120 minute wait currently over at Test Track. People set up camp all around the world showcase lagoon and beyond for the fireworks at midnight. Just boarded Test Track and it went down. So tack on some more time to that 120 min. God bless these CMs who are sure to be already having a long and stressful day. Pretty sure we’re gonna get taken off the ride. Security and EMTs are now on the unload platform. Not sure what’s going on but hope everyone is alright. And we’re out. Fast passes being issued for additional attractions. 105 min for Soarin’. Some of these folks will be ringing in the new year in this queue. I mean, there might be a few more people here than on a normal day. The Epcot New Years fireworks are awesome! And the final time that Illuminations will be a part of it too. Happy New Year! The Day AfterNew year, new Disney construction photos. Here’s a look at the work going on for the Skyliner and Disney Riviera Resort as seen from Caribbean Beach. I’m still not used to seeing “tall” Disney resorts, with this one and at Coronado Springs. Today we've got a great update from Florida and the all new Toy Story Land at Disney's Hollywood Studios!! The land has been open for a few weeks now and everything seems to be going well in the land, even able to get some day-of Fastpasses which is awesome!! Of course, being that we're at DHS might as well take a look at Galaxy's Edge and Skyliner progress!! Enjoy!! Written by Renée Girard Finally visiting Disney’s Hollywood Studios tonight. I guess they have a new land or something? The Skyliner over at DHS has really grown quite a bit. It spans across one side of the parking lot. A look at the vertical construction over on Galaxy’s Edge at DHS. Pixar Place is no more. Got a delicious Round ‘Em Up Latte from Joffreys Coffee before heading into Toy Story Land Hey howdy hey! We’re in Toy Story Land No more “Midway” in the name and new entrance for Toy Story Mania at DHS. Scored a fast pass for Slinky Dog Dash. Let’s ride! Some decent views of Galaxy’s Edge can be seen in Toy Story Land and while riding Slinky Dog Dash. So Slinky Dog Dash is really fun! The launches, twists, hills and theming make it a terrific coaster for all. Woody’s Lunchbox isn’t a huge food location, but decent quick service and fits well in the land. I tried the grilled cheese and tots. The Toy Story characters and toys throughout Toy Story Land are super cute. Lack of shade definitely could be an issue with Toy Story Land in the hot Florida sun. Several umbrellas placed along the side offer some relief. Some of the merchandise available for Toy Story Land I had planned on waiting around till dark to see more of Toy Story Land and ride Alien Swirling Saucers, but the typical Florida thunderstorm started up and I didn’t want to get stuck. Ah well, till next time then! I didn’t walk away empty handed. Had to buy the green alien light up cup on the way out! Related Videos:
