As of 11:21 MST on 9/11, here is what we have been able to find out
(Updates from RD Sussman-Dewberry)
1.) Both WDW and USO will not be in operations today due to the cleanup process in hand. They both are expecting to open tomorrow, though at this point hours may be restricted to help allot to the cleanup process for their staff & for the parks themselves.
2.) All WDW & USO resorts remain open - and continue to operate on a hurricane system. Normal operations are expected to resume tomorrow - with various other properties also resuming operations in the next 48 hours.
3.) Orlando International Airport (MCO) and Tampa International Airport (TPA) are currently CLOSED as is Sanford International Airport (SFB). MCO is expecting to open again late tonight, and will have limited operation on Tuesday through Wed. Night. TPA is expecting to have limited operations as well starting tomorrow, 12 September 2017. SFB has not issued an advisory at this time.
4.) All airlines have suspended normal flying to the Central Florida area - with all but Frontier Airlines reporting in at this point, it appears most will have a limited schedule to the three Central Florida airports starting tomorrow, and expanding to full-service by Thursday Morning. If you are flying to the Central Florida area, please contact your airline directly - and be patient. All airlines are experiencing extremely high call loads due to Hurricane Irma.
5.) There is moderate damage throughout the area. Some areas are without power, and may not be accessible to guests for some time. However, it appears the main and major attractions will be welcoming guests again starting tomorrow morning.
We will continue to post updates as they become available - we hope that your travel plans are not disrupted further.
