Thunder Rapids Coaster is Complete!
World’s largest first rocket blast water coaster prepares to open late spring
SAN ANTONIO, Texas—April 27, 2017— Six Flags Fiesta Texas, the Thrill Capital of South Texas, has completed the slide construction phase of America’s first rocket blast water coaster—Thunder Rapids. This state-of-the-art water attraction features a custom-designed inline raft and water propulsion jets for lightning-fast uphill speeds and adrenaline-pumping drops.

The ride also features an advanced loading system that allows guests to quickly and easily board their water ride vehicle at ground level from a moving station. Guests then ride up the lift hill to the top of the slide – eliminating the need to carry tubes.
This thrilling water coaster is positioned in White Water Bay, Fiesta Texas’ FREE water park (included with admission). Thunder Rapids is scheduled to open on Memorial Day weekend.
