Knott's Berry Farm Reopening Day 2021

Last Thursday we headed out to Knott's Berry Farm for the long awaited reopening day for the park.

We had of course been at the park for the various food festivals, but it was great being back for some of our favorite rides and more at one of our favorite parks.

In this update we'll share our thoughts on the reopening, and what you should expect when you visit. Enjoy!

Social distancing in the queue. For the most part, Knott's was using every-other switchback to enforce social distancing.

A look at the station. It looks fantastic! Do wish they would have replaced the ride vehicles. They apparently are still having issues and the ride was closed a lot of the weekend.

It was so great taking a stroll down memory lane during our visit. we look forward to visiting much more over the next few months as the park gets it's proper 100 year celebration!

South Bay Shores Tour at California's Great America

Yesterday Andrew joined the ACE Northern California Group for a pre-season tour of South Bay Shores at California's Great America!

We are super excited to see this area done and can't wait to enjoy some summer fun in the Bay Area.

One of the nicest touches California's Great America made to the waterpark is the addition of so many fun murals to bring color and story to the area

THEY HAVE A BAR HERE! Now to find out what’s in the Pelican Punch

The new restaurant inside South Bay Shores is coming along nicely and has some really good sounding food. Sign me up for some tempura shrimp and beer battered fish

How does everyone feel about drop capsule slides? I personally love them, but this has become a hot debate among several friends who find them too intense

Some great views from the top of the new slide complex. There’s also a really nice bit of land available for future expansion. We have a few suggestion California's Great America, have you considered a 500 foot T-Rex?

Taste of Merry Farm 2020 at Knott's Berry Farm

Last week we were invited out to check out the Taste of Merry Farm at Knott's Berry Farm. This was actually our first visit to the park since leap day as we hadn't been able to make it to any of the other "Taste" events.

It was great being back out at the park, trying some food and just walking around one of our favorite places.

I will admit, it felt kind of weird, but overall the park has done a great job of making the best out of a bad situation. Let's head in!

It was a beautiful day

First treat of the day were the fried green beans and tater-tot thing. The green beans were actually not very warm which was weird as the park had just opened. But the Tots were great!!

Next up was the Cranberry Chocolate Tart and a Boysenberry Smoothie. The Tart was way too sweet for me, but the Smoothie was fantastic. I hope it stays on the menu somewhere.
