Today we've got some fantastic images of construction going on at one of our favorite parks, Canada's Wonderland. We still don't have an official announcement of what the park has planned, but it's rather large! Thanks a bunch to Nicholas for grabbing these pics and sending them over. Let's get to it!  The Ontario area is seeing some remnants of Hurricane Beryl and according to our son and daughter in-law, it's been rather muggy the past couple of days.  Most of the work going on right now is in the Aplenfest area near The Fly.   Some of the nearby walkways are being routed around construction.   Some rather big footers, and honestly, some very close together ones as well.      A look at some of the footers that have been completed, complete with Cedar Fair trashcans. =)  Whatever this is going to be, it will look amazing with Wonderland Mountain.   How many coasters will now be around/in/on top of the mountain? Is this 4 now?   And lastly, a look at the old Extreme Sky Flyer plot. Lots of space here! Thanks for checking out our quick update from Canada's Wonderland! We'll actually be visiting Canada next month and have a day planned at the park while we're there. Related Updates 4/20/2024 Preview Day 2024 at Canada's WonderlandIt's Preview Day 2024 at Canada's Wonderland and there's a lot of construction going on at the park! Our resident Canadian's sent us amazing pictures of work going on at one of our favorite parks.  The map below shows where the construction is currently taking place. The red spots are the area's of construction with the "Something Big is coming" signs. The purple spots are the two large holes in the bottom of the mountain. One where the former exit was from Thunder Run and the other near the lift hill for Vortex.                  And a couple of pics in the area where the Skycoaster was. Yesterday was media day for Tundra Twister at Canada's Wonderland. The latest in a long line of amazing flat rides at the park. In this update we've got some pics and video from media day including a ride POV and B-Roll and interviews with Grace Peacock, Director of Communications and Peter Switzer, Director of Maintenance and Construction for Canada's Wonderland. Ride Review: It’s a lot of fun! Not nearly as intense as I thought it would be. But each ride is very different from the last. Rode over a dozen times. Some rides you barely flip and get floater airtime. Other rides you flip lots or hang upside down for periods of time. It just depends on the weight distribution. Definitely re-rideable. And no one complained about dizziness or feeling sick even after lots of rides. Tundra Twister is NOW OPEN!!!  Thankfully the wildfire smoke wasn't too bad and it's a beautiful morning at Canada's Wonderland!  Along with Tundra Twister, we also have a new Mango Dragonfruit Cider - Tundra Twist!  And of course, lots of new Tundra Twister themed food!   The Dippin' Dots guy has been working overtime on this one!   Oh, you want to see Tundra Twister? We've got you covered!  Tundra Twister looks amazing from the ground and especially on the ride.   So many great angles to get pictures of Tundra Twister and Yukon Striker!
