 Last weekend we headed back out to Knott's Merry Farm for more holiday fun, to try some more of the treats and to finally see the Snoopy on Ice Show. We of course took a look at the construction progress of Calico River Rapids. Written by Gregg Condon Welcome back to Knott's Merry Farm!!  A nice housewarming gift for some members of Team Park Journey  Let's check out what's up with Calico River Rapids  Not much over here yet  Or here  We don't think over here either  We're sure work is going on, but we can't see it yet. One thing we are hoping for are new rafts. Or at the very least, new seat belts.  Hey there HangTime  Now that's a wreath  Let's go check out the ice show. Easily the most popular show at the park.    Merry Christmas Snoopy  The show is always a favorite of ours, but for some reason about 10 minutes into the show it stopped suddenly. There was never an announcement that it was cancelled and we ended up leaving after about 15 minutes. But what we saw was fantastic of course.  Mmmm, Cookies  Mmmm, Churros  Hey Christmas Tree  Check out our video of the tree lighting ceremony from Sunday We had another great day at Knott's, we didn't get to try some of the food we wanted to. Related Updates:  The Holiday Season is here, and last night we were out at Knott's Merry Farm for our first holiday event of the season. It's another amazing year at Merry Farm, lots of great new things to see, holiday food and the parks merchandise game continues to improve. Let's head in and see!! Written by Gregg Condon Welcome to Knott's Merry Farm!! Sure, it's only November, and I'm usually a Grinch when it comes to Holiday stuff so early in the year. But as I said on our social media during the event, I didn't seem to mind this year. There's been so much bad stuff going on lately that a bit of Holiday Cheer was exactly what we needed. We hope you feel the same.   No fog, but lots of pretty lights.   And snow  No more Dark Ride for 2018. Maybe next year they should have a holiday overlay to the Dark Ride for Merry Farm? =)  Lots of great new decorations in The Boardwalk   Obligatory construction update  Really loved the decorations in Fiesta Village     Be sure to check out our video from our visit featuring Snow and Glow and more around the park. We'll cover the shows the next time we visit.  They also had a great opening night tree lighting ceremony.  The park truly does look amazing all times of the year, but especially during Merry Farm  Camp Snoopy was very colorful   These swans got stuck  Santa's Christmas Cabin is back where you can try a variety of holiday treats, and of course, hang out with the big guy.    Speaking of Santa's Cabin ... let's check out some of the food  Amazing    Elote is always awesome   This was interesting. I'm not a fan of sweet potato so I didn't enjoy it as much as others did.  If you get one treat at Knott's Merry Farm, make it this. I need this recipe.   Yule log. Not a log, I don't have a log. If I had a log not in the sense that you think I said I did.  Some awesome Merry Farm merch available this year as well. May have to expand my closet beyond Halloween shirts. =)    Thanks for checking out our Knotts Merry Farm Update. We wish you all the best. Related Updates: 1/5/2016 New Years Eve at Knott's Berry Farm This past New Years Eve Matt and his lovely wife made their way to Knott's Berry Farm to kick of 2016 in style. We'll also have a few pics of the Chicken Dinner Restaurant and Pan for Gold work going on. Pictures by CoasterMatt Written by Gregg Condon Unlike some other parks in the area, parking wasn't too bad upon arrival at Knott's in the mid afternoon.  Walls up around the Chicken Dinner Restaurant which is now closed for it's big remodel.  Lots of work going on to bring the Pan For Gold back to it's rightful place.   Merry Farm is also over for the year. No more Christmas on Engine 41 for another 11 months or so.  The Boardwalk on the last night of 2015  Matt takes such good pictures he even makes Boomerang look good. ;)  Love the lights in Ghost Town, so nice and not in your face   The Reflexx rocking Calico Stage.
