Last weekend we headed back out to Knott's Merry Farm for more holiday fun, to try some more of the treats and to finally see the Snoopy on Ice Show.
We of course took a look at the construction progress of Calico River Rapids.

Welcome back to Knott's Merry Farm!!
A nice housewarming gift for some members of Team Park Journey
Let's check out what's up with Calico River Rapids
Not much over here yet
We don't think over here either
We're sure work is going on, but we can't see it yet.
One thing we are hoping for are new rafts. Or at the very least, new seat belts.
Hey there HangTime
Now that's a wreath
Let's go check out the ice show. Easily the most popular show at the park.
Merry Christmas Snoopy
The show is always a favorite of ours, but for some reason about 10 minutes into the show it stopped suddenly. There was never an announcement that it was cancelled and we ended up leaving after about 15 minutes.
But what we saw was fantastic of course.
Hey Christmas Tree
Check out our video of the tree lighting ceremony from Sunday
We had another great day at Knott's, we didn't get to try some of the food we wanted to. We may have to go back after Xmas to try the rest.
The Holiday Season is here, and last night we were out at Knott's Merry Farm for our first holiday event of the season.
It's another amazing year at Merry Farm, lots of great new things to see, holiday food and the parks merchandise game continues to improve. Let's head in and see!!

Welcome to Knott's Merry Farm!!
Sure, it's only November, and I'm usually a Grinch when it comes to Holiday stuff so early in the year. But as I said on our social media during the event, I didn't seem to mind this year. There's been so much bad stuff going on lately that a bit of Holiday Cheer was exactly what we needed. We hope you feel the same.
No fog, but lots of pretty lights.
No more Dark Ride for 2018. Maybe next year they should have a holiday overlay to the Dark Ride for Merry Farm? =)
Lots of great new decorations in The Boardwalk
Obligatory construction update
Really loved the decorations in Fiesta Village
Be sure to check out our video from our visit featuring Snow and Glow and more around the park. We'll cover the shows the next time we visit.
They also had a great opening night tree lighting ceremony.
The park truly does look amazing all times of the year, but especially during Merry Farm
Camp Snoopy was very colorful
These swans got stuck
Santa's Christmas Cabin is back where you can try a variety of holiday treats, and of course, hang out with the big guy.
Speaking of Santa's Cabin ... let's check out some of the food
Elote is always awesome
This was interesting. I'm not a fan of sweet potato so I didn't enjoy it as much as others did.
If you get one treat at Knott's Merry Farm, make it this. I need this recipe.
Yule log. Not a log, I don't have a log. If I had a log not in the sense that you think I said I did.
Some awesome Merry Farm merch available this year as well. May have to expand my closet beyond Halloween shirts. =)
Thanks for checking out our Knotts Merry Farm Update. We wish you all the best.
Don't forget, if you get cold, be sure to put your lamb over your shoulders. =)
Last weekend was the opening of Knott's Scary Farm 2018 and we were privledged to be able to attend 2 of the first 3 nights of the event. And we can tell you, we're already looking forward to our next trip. It's simply amazing.
We got some great pictures both of the event and a couple of maze tours from the HorrorBuzz event thanks to Scott who attended. Enjoy!!

Welcome to Knott's Scary Farm
We'll start off with a tour of our favorite maze of 2017, Dark Ride.
It's pretty amazing in 2018 as well.
Be sure to check out all of our videos in this update, all in glorious 4k!
Slideshow of the tour
Next up was a tour of Pumpkin Eater, another of our favorite mazes of 2017. Which is also pretty amazing in 2018.
Thanks to Norm and HorrorBuzz for the awesome tour!!! And to Scott for sending us the pics!!
Not your typical red carpet
The fog is coming
Our first maze of 2018 was the all new "The Depths" which is seriously so fun. And very fun to shoot pics and video in. (Just remember, don't disrupt the monsters, maze security or other patrons).
As the sun goes down, the fog rolls in
Carnevil has always been one of our favorite scare zones, but this year it's just on another level. The addition of HangTime has really completed this area.
Halloween Hootenanny is back, no monsters when we rode on Thursday, not sure if they will be back this year.
But a fun, fun time for all!!
Paranomal Inc is back with an all new ending, which is fantastic!! This maze has NEVER been better.
Who else wishes this ride was open for Scary Farm?
The Hollows is fantastic
And Pumpkin Eater is the perfect fit for the scare zone
Gabe is ready for Trick or Treat Lights Out
Always one of our favorites, and was easily the longest wait all weekend.
The hanging was also back this year. Always a fun look back on the past year.
I'll admit, I'm getting to the age where I don't get some of the references. Eek.
The last new maze for 2018 is Dark Entities.
You could tell from the first weekend they are still finding their way a bit.
Like Pumpkin Eater last year, I get the feeling that as the weeks go on, the crew here is going to find their groove and this maze is going to be fantastic!!
The effects and Lighting in Dark Entities are great!!
Some pics from around the park
Thanks Knott's for another great year of Scary Farm. We can't wait to get back soon!!
Last week, friend of the site Justin made his way out to Carowinds to have some fun in the park.
Here are some amazing pics from this awesome park, we hope you enjoy!!

Good Morning Carowinds!!
We're ready to get Fury'd
Don't mind if we take a look
We totally loved Intimidator as well, not sure why it gets a bad rap
Love the tower and being able to view the entire park, and a couple of states.
Obligatory Construction shot!!! Can't wait to see what Carowinds is cooking up for 2019!!!
Hey sexy ...
This morning Canada's Wodnerland announced their biggest investment in the parks history featuring the all new Yukon Striker, an all new themed area and WinterFest.
We've got lots of great pictures and videos to share below as well as all of the information you could ever want on the new ride!!
We'll also have more from the park later this evening as Jeff and Nick were at the park today getting interviews, more information and footage. So be sure to check back later!!
Biggest capital investment in park’s history promises the fastest, longest, tallest dive coaster,
an immersive holiday event and the opening of a new themed area
(VAUGHAN, ON): Aug. 15, 2018 – When Canada’s Wonderland opens its gates for the 2019 season, the park’s skyline will be forever transformed by Yukon Striker – the longest, fastest and tallest dive roller coaster in the world. Situated in the newly themed area Frontier Canada, Yukon Striker will be the country’s first dive coaster and the park’s 17th coaster, placing Canada’s Wonderland among the world’s top three amusement parks with the most roller coasters.
Yukon Striker promises an exhilarating journey along its 3,625 feet of mountainous track where guests will be treated to a spectacular view stretching to the Toronto skyline. The coaster features a ‘hold and dive’ element where riders will literally be hanging on the edge of their seats, on one of three wide, floorless trains, breathlessly awaiting the 90-degree, 245-foot drop. Once released, the coaster dives from zero to 130 kilometres per hour straight down into an underwater tunnel before soaring up over steel track, propelling riders through four dynamic inversions and gravity-defying weightlessness. Designed by Bolliger & Mabillard, Yukon Striker will claim several world records:
• The fastest dive coaster at 130 km/h (80 mph);
• The longest dive coaster at 3,625 feet (1,105 m);
• The tallest dive coaster at 245 feet (75 m) – includes underground.
Frontier Canada’s arrival at Canada’s Wonderland is more than 37 years in the making, as it was originally planned and designed as one of five themed sections to be developed for the park’s opening in 1981. The area will represent the rugged Yukon backcountry during the Klondike Gold Rush era of the late 1890s. Yukon Striker will join rides Lumberjack, Flying Canoes, Mighty Canadian Minebuster, Soaring Timbers, Timberwolf Falls, and White Water Canyon as the signature attractions in this newly themed section of the park.
WinterFest offers a new season of holiday fun in 2019, when guests at Canada’s Wonderland will be treated to an all-new immersive holiday experience taking place in late November and December. During WinterFest, the park will be transformed into an enchanted winter wonderland complete with uniquely themed areas, dozens of Christmas trees, millions of spectacular lights, ice-skating, live entertainment, savory treats, crafts and hands-on family activities.
The park’s fountain on International Street will become Snowflake Lake where guests can enjoy ice skating amid brilliant holiday lights. Each night, singers and dancers will set the stage for the celebratory lighting ceremony of a 70-foot-tall (21 m) Christmas tree featuring more than 40,000 sparkling ornaments. WinterFest visitors can feast on savory treats and holiday favourites like turkey, gourmet hot chocolate and peppermint fudge, and then catch one of a dozen live holiday-themed shows like Cool Yule Christmas and Jingle Jazz. Children can help elves mail letters to Santa, decorate cookies in Mrs. Claus’ Kitchen, and meet classic Peanuts characters or special WinterFest entertainers like Jack Frost, the Sugar Plum Fairy and Candy Cane.
“This is the largest capital investment we’ve made in our park since opening,” said Norm Pirtovshek, Canada’s Wonderland General Manager. “We’re excited to offer world-class thrills and a truly unique experience for our guests next year. Yukon Striker will be the centerpiece of our new themed area Frontier Canada, delivering exhilarating and record-breaking coaster elements like no other in the world. And to cap off our 2019 season, WinterFest will be a holiday event unique to Canada as our park transforms into a winter wonderland. You can expect magical holiday fun for guests of all ages.”
