Today we've got an update from the kick-off of the Flower and Garden Festival at EPCOT. Lots of great topiaries to see this year along with the traidional food and wine booths. We'll also hop over to Disney's Animal Kingdom for a quick visit to take in Rivers of Light again. Written by Renée Girard Tonight we are also making a quick stop at Epcot to see some of the Flower & Garden Festival that just started recently. The character topiaries are always a highlight of the festival. Looks great so far! And let's not forget the food & drinks! At Urban Farm Eats, I tried the Crabless Cake with Wildflower pale ale. The Berry Basket is new this year. Might have to make a stop there next visit! Florida Fresh is a favorite stop of mine, mainly for the beer! Chocolate cake at the Smokehouse is amazing! They have a great selection of merchandise for the festival. Loving all the Figment. I might have bought the Mickey ears. Epcot looks just beautiful this time of year. During sunset is a lovely time to take a walk around and smell the flowers at Epcot. And when the sun goes down, the topiaries all light up and it is also quite magical. Enjoyed our short visit to Epcot for a bit of Flower & Garden Festival fun. Since it runs through May, we'll definitely be back! Extreme park hopping! Now we're at Disney's Animal Kingdom. Written by Renée Girard Click any of the pictures below to see a larger version Going to brave the heat for some flowers and food at Epcot today, as the final month for Flower & Garden Fest begins I absolutely love the new Star Wars retro Disney attractions t-shirts! There are literally no lines at the food booths today. A big difference from what it's like during Food & Wine Fest. Trying the mezze lune pasta with La Rossa beer in Italy. Mountains and things over in Norway for Frozen. Voices of Liberty, probably the best entertainment act at WDW. Always put on a wonderful show. Lots of work going on at Disney's Boardwalk Resort, with the new Ample Hills Creamery, and Flying Fish renovations. Epcot looks good all year round, but it's even better during the Flower & Garden Festival! Epcot's Flower & Garden Festival runs through the end of this month so catch it while you can! The Earfell Tower might be gone, but the water tower at Disney Springs is up and ready for their opening on May 15. Disney Springs is opening in just a few weeks, but it looks beautiful and ready to go! The walls are partially down. Looks great! Say goodbye to Fulton's. Paddlefish will be joining the Disney Springs family later this year. The signs up at the BB Wolf's Sausage Co kiosk look awesome! Dark chocolate blueberry is the current chocolate being given out at Ghirardelli. It's quite good! The STK sign is lit up and the outdoor seating area is ready for their opening soon. Another structure in the process of being built across from STK at Disney Springs. More progress at the Coca Cola store at Disney Springs. Looking good! An extremely rare sight, no line at Earl of Sandwich! Sign is up for the AristoCrepes kiosk. Really looking forward to trying this one! Thanks again to Renée for another amazing update from Orlando. Related Updates: Today we're back in Florida, this time at Walt Disney World with a look at the EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival. Below a look at all the great options for the festival as well as a look at the new Frozen attraction and Soarin'. Written by Renée Girard We are finally back at Epcot to check out the Flower & Garden Festival. Some places & events, such as the Festival Center and Garden Rocks concerts, only take place on weekends East Coast Cars Land! The butterfly garden is always a popular area, where you can get up close to these little guys. I love all the topiaries of the Disney characters all throughout Epcot Flower & Garden Festival has also become a mini Food & Wine Festival, minus the lines. Dole Whip with rum is here! Urban Farm Eats has a unique menu, and the vegetable & white bean "Naanwich" is delicious! In Mexico, we tried the corn tortilla quesadilla and watermelon sangria, which was nice and refreshing I wonder if they have margaritas in Arendelle? Only frozen, of course. Some progress over at the Norway/Frozen area at Epcot. The Anna and Elsa topiaries now appear in Norway. Sampling the vegetable spring rolls in China. The orange sauce is great! Very glad to see the return of the dragon topiary in China. The Lion King characters are back once again in topiary form. The Armer Ritter in Germany sounded better than it actually was. Didn't sample any Italian food or drinks today, but Lady & the Tramp look adorable. Really enjoyed the chocolate cake and beer flight at the Smokehouse in America. I need this shirt. Bonsai gardens and Frushi are all found in Japan. The menu in Morocco for Flower & Garden is almost identical to Food & Wine. Can't go wrong with Baklava! Bonjour from France! New this year to the Flower & Garden Festival is the Cider House in the UK. The tea garden in the UK has everyone's favorite, Pumpkin Spice Chai. In Future World at Epcot, you don't have to get ordinary butter popcorn. With Soarin' & Circle of Life closed, Living with the Land is the only attraction open in The Land at Epcot. Joy and Sadness from Inside Out are the newest additions to the characters you can meet at Epcot! Some new coffee mugs available at WDW. Disney, just take my money!
