SEAWORLD SEVEN SEAS FOOD FESTIVAL EXTENDED: San Diego’s premier food, beer and
wine event, SeaWorld Seven Seas Food Festival, will serve up extra helpings of internationally-inspired gourmet treats, craft beer, wine and live music performances two additional weekends (April 21–22 and 28–29) at SeaWorld San Diego. Scheduled to open to the public Saturday, May 12, Electric Eel will propel riders forward and backward as they speed through the ride’s station at more than 60 mph in seconds, before rocketing skyward nearly 150 feet. SEAWORLD CELEBRATES WORLD PENGUIN DAY: On Wednesday, April 25, SeaWorld San Diego will celebrate World Penguin Day with Aviculturist’s Talks. Bird keepers inside the park’s 25-degree, snow-filled Penguin Encounter will be mic’d up to answer questions and share fascinating penguin facts with park guests in the attraction’s viewing gallery. SeaWorld San Diego has the world’s only emperor penguin colony in the western hemisphere, with 21 successful hatching since 1980.
