Park to Extend into Winter Season for New Tradition
GURNEE, IL. — April 11, 2018 — For the first time in the park’s 42-year history, Six Flags Great America, the Thrill Capital of the Midwest, is extending its operating season and inviting guests of all ages to be a part of the festivities at the new Six Flags Holiday in the Park® . This spectacular event — making its Six Flags Great America debut — features more than one million LED lights, beautifully adorned Christmas trees, thrilling rides, enchanting shows, delicious seasonal food and dazzling park décor. Holiday in the Park will premiere on Friday, November 23 and run weekends through Sunday, December 23 and daily December 26 – December 31.

SEAWORLD CELEBRATES WORLD PENGUIN DAY: On Wednesday, April 25, SeaWorld San Diego will celebrate World Penguin Day with Aviculturist’s Talks. Bird keepers inside the park’s 25-degree, snow-filled Penguin Encounter will be mic’d up to answer questions and share fascinating penguin facts with park guests in the attraction’s viewing gallery. SeaWorld San Diego has the world’s only emperor penguin colony in the western hemisphere, with 21 successful hatching since 1980. (April 6, 2018) – With just 20 days to the grand opening of the new LEGOLAND® Castle Hotel at LEGOLAND® California Resort, Master Model Builders are installing the final LEGO® models for guests to enjoy. There will be more than 2,000 LEGO models in all, with the largest model being a Royal Statue featuring a king, queen, jester, knight, wizard and princess. It took more than 1200 hours to create and is made out of more than 250,000 LEGO bricks.

Universal City, CA, April 5, 2018 – On Friday, May 11 and Saturday, May 12, the Jurassic Park 25th Anniversary Celebration will roar to life at Universal Studios Hollywood, and guests are invited to be a part of this exclusive event in honor of the blockbuster action-adventure that brought dinosaurs out of extinction a quarter century ago.
This first-ever themed Jurassic Park 25th Anniversary Celebration, created in partnership with Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment, is a separately ticketed event. Space is limited and tickets, which can be purchased here, will sell out.
The multi-faceted immersive Celebration will feature a private screening of the epic Jurassic Park at Universal CityWalk’s all-new, state-of-the-art Universal Cinema. The exciting showcase will also re-release the film’s original trailer.
The remainder of the event, which includes exclusive after-hours access, will take place within Universal Studios Hollywood, adjacent to the theme park’s thrilling “Jurassic Park—The Ride.”
