TAKE A TRIP TO NEW YORK CITY, LAS VEGAS OR NEW ORLEANS - WITHOUT GETTING ON A PLANE - FOR A LIMITED TIME AT LEGOLAND® CALIFORNIA RESORT!
The Family Theme Park Shares a Portion of Miniland U.S.A. with Hotel Guests, Annual Pass Members and Customers at The Big Shop.
CARLSBAD, Calif. (July 30, 2020) – While fans await the reopening of LEGOLAND® California Resort, the family theme park built for kids is inviting LEGOLAND® Hotel guests, Annual Pass Members and customers who make a $25 minimum purchase at The Big Shop the opportunity to explore the New York City skyline, the sights and sounds of Las Vegas and the parades and bayous in New Orleans. The three cities are just a portion of Miniland U.S.A. With a population of 8,467 Minilanders and growing, and an “elevation” of 75 feet, families with children will be in awe of the more than 30 million LEGO® bricks used to construct these iconic cities. While the Minilanders aren’t wearing masks, all guests ages three and up are required to as they take an educational field trip, explore the detailed landscape, LEGO buildings and beautiful outdoor space that makes Miniland U.S.A. the heart of LEGOLAND California.

MINILAND NEW YORK: More than two million LEGO bricks are used in the reconstruction of the city that never sleeps. This brick-built Central Park is filled with as much diverse activity as the real one! You can find people ice skating, roller skating, practicing Tai-Chi, going for carriage rides, listening to concerts, sunbathing, sailing model boats, or just out for a stroll. In 2016, The One World Trade Center LEGO model was built with more than 250,000 LEGO bricks, and took eight Master Model Builders more than 1200 hours to build.  This dynamic structure weighs more than 1,000 pounds and towers at a record breaking 25 feet, making it the tallest LEGO model in the U.S.A.

MINILAND LAS VEGAS: Featuring the world-famous Strip including the Luxor Las Vegas, New York, New York Hotel and Casino, Excalibur, Mirage, Treasure Island, Tropicana, MGM Grand, Venetian, Stratosphere tower and two iconic structures of Paris Las Vegas, the balloon sign and Eiffel Tower. “The Strip” at LEGOLAND California also features a miniature wedding chapel, monorails and real-life sounds recorded in Las Vegas. The architectural landmark is built out of more than two-million bricks and represents more than sixteen-thousand hours of creative artistry.

MINILAND NEW ORLEANS: Garish floats snake through the streets, revelers raise their arms demanding trinkets, and ‘gators snooze in bayous next to antebellum mansions. The Miniland version of New Orleans was built in Billund, Denmark. During Halloween, the famous New Orleans cemetery "comes alive" with dozens of zombies and skeletons crawling out of the graves!

The Big Shop, offering the largest assortment of LEGO products in the West Coast, has expanded its hours for the public with free parking: Monday through Thursday and Saturday and Sunday: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Friday: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. For a limited time only, shoppers can check out an exclusive treat: The first, second and third place winning LEGO models from the hit FOX TV show, “LEGO® MASTERS” are on display!

The staff at LEGOLAND Hotel is eager to welcome back guests as LEGOLAND Park, LEGOLAND® Water Park and SEA LIFE® aquarium await county and state approval for the entire Resort’s proposed reopening. Guests are highly encouraged to visit the Resort’s website for further guest experience and visiting details. For more information, visit: www.legoland.com/california.

Modified with enhanced health and safety measures to keep guests safe, this nighttime classic offers
summer fun every Friday-Saturday from July 24 to September 6.
ORLANDO, Fla. (July 21, 2020) – As the sun goes down, SeaWorld comes alive with the glow of Electric Ocean Remix, premiering July 24 on Fridays and Saturdays. Guests are invited to stay late on summer weekends to enjoy electrifying dance music and a brilliant evening of energy that sparks as the sun sets, while maintaining safe physical distancing. The fun glows on with Light Up The Sky, a fireworks and pyrotechnic spectacular that brings the brilliance of the sea to the sky above for guests. Event details: Seaworld.com/orlando/events/electric-ocean/

This event will be held on:
  • Fridays and Saturdays, July 24 through September 6
  • During Labor Day Weekend: Friday, September 4 through Sunday, September 6

All guests with existing tickets, Fun Cards, or Annual Passes must make a reservation to visit in advance in order to manage park capacity and maintain physical distancing.  Requiring reservations allows the park to limit the number of guests on property each day, further enhancing the park’s vigorous safety protocols.  Seaworld.com/orlando/tickets/reservations/

“We are thrilled to be able to bring Orlando’s number one summer nighttime event, Electric Ocean, back to SeaWorld in a ‘remix’ that will keep all of our guests safe while allowing them to enjoy this electrifying event,” said Park President Kyle Miller. “Safety is a top priority for our park team, and we’ve worked hard to modify elements of Electric Ocean while keeping all of the energy and excitement that our guests have come to love with the launch of Electric Ocean Remix.”

Electrifying Entertainment:
  • Light Up the Sky – The evening will come to an amazing end when “Light Up the Sky” erupts across the park’s lake. This new show will pay tribute to shows of summers past with a high-energy musical score, towering flames, and dazzling pyrotechnics. The best part of all, the fireworks can be enjoyed from anywhere around SeaWorld Lake, which will help everyone stay safe by maintaining physical distance.
  • Atmosphere Entertainment – As the sun goes down, the party amps up on our Waterfront, where a DJ will be mixing dance music for those waiting for the fireworks to begin. Guests will have designated areas to know where to stand for safe physical distancing from other guests, while still being able to enjoy the entertainment. Featuring dancers and high energy atmosphere acts, they will get the party started!

Other Summer Fun:
  • Taste of Seven Seas: SeaWorld Orlando’s annual spring event, the Seven Seas Food Festival, resumes this summer in a modified format at SeaWorld Orlando for guests to enjoy select fan favorite food options in a safe environment. Each week, guests can sample popular food and drink features from one of the Seven Seas Food Festival markets featuring international street food traditions, exclusively at SeaWorld’s Lakeside Patio. www.seaworld.com/orlando/events/taste-of-seven-seas/
  • Flicks and Fireworks: Experience the fun, nostalgia, and magic of movies under the stars with SeaWorld’s park-and-view drive-in movie theatre! In addition to locally sourced food trucks offering plenty of snack options, back by popular demand, the park’s spectacular fireworks display “Light up the Sky” will be shown Friday and Saturday nights for both park guests and movie goers to enjoy. Check for weekend movies here: Seaworld.com/orlando/events/flicks-and-fireworks/

Safety:
SeaWorld Orlando is committed to the health and safety of our guests, employees, and the animals in our care. The park has worked diligently with state and local health officials, outside consultants and attraction industry leaders to enhance our already strict health, safety and cleanliness standards. These protocols and guidelines will be modified based on evolving industry standards and methodologies, public health, and governmental directives, and advancing scientific knowledge on the transmissibility of COVID-19. SeaWorld Orlando is excited to continue to provide our guests with fun, inspiring and memorable experiences, while addressing important health and safety needs during this time. For detailed information about the measures that guests can expect when visiting the resort, including key operational changes, visit Seaworld.com/orlando/safety.  Seaworld.com/orlando/park-info/park-safety/

Extensive New Safety Measures in Place
JACKSON, N.J. ─ July 20, 2020 ─ Six Flags Hurricane Harbor today announced that it will open for the 2020 season on July 23. In accordance with Governor Phil Murphy’s opening guidelines for waterparks, Six Flags Hurricane Harbor will operate with reduced attendance levels and in preview mode; then gradually increase attendance levels throughout the month. The waterpark will operate Thursday through Monday, July 23 through August, plus select days in September. Like its sister park, Six Flags Great Adventure, the waterpark will implement extensive new safety measures and hygiene protocols, including several new advanced technology systems to protect guests and employees. These procedures will be adjusted on an as needed basis to ensure compliance with state recommendations.
“We are thrilled to welcome families back to one of the Northeast’s most popular waterparks, Hurricane Harbor. The safety of our guests and team members remains our number one priority, and the new safety guidelines we have put in place are designed to create a safe environment for everyone,” said Six Flags Great Adventure and Hurricane Harbor Park President John Winkler.

Like Six Flags Great Adventure which opened July 3, the waterpark will employ an online reservation system to manage attendance, schedule guests for entry by day, and to stagger arrival times to minimize proximity exposure. Other new technologies include:

  • State-of-the-art thermal imaging for temperature checks;
  • Advanced security screening technology for touchless bag checks; and
  • Mobile food ordering.

The park’s reopening plan, which the company developed in consultation with epidemiologists, meets or exceeds federal, state, and local guidelines for sanitization, hygiene, and social distancing protocols.

“We have developed a comprehensive reopening safety plan that includes protocols designed by theme park and waterpark industry experts, along with best practices from top destination parks from around the world, which will allow guests to experience our parks in the safest way possible. This ’new normal’ will be different in some ways, but we believe these additional measures are appropriate in the current environment,” said Six Flags President and CEO Mike Spanos. Reopening procedures include:

Health Screenings for Guests and Team Members
  • Contactless IR thermal imaging will be used to screen temperatures of guests and employees prior to entry;
  • Individuals will be required to acknowledge and abide by the company’s health policies, which prohibit park entry if guests have recently been exposed to or are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19;
  • Following CDC guidelines, all guests over the age of two and all team members will be required to wear face masks covering the nose and mouth throughout their visit/work day.
  • Masks will be available for sale at the front gate for any guest without one; and
  • Masks will not be required on waterslides, water attractions, or in pools.

Strictly Enforced Social Distancing
  • Easy to identify distance markers will be added in all park entry, ride, restroom, retail locations, and dining queue lines;
  • Dining areas will be adjusted to allow ample space between seated parties;
  • Advanced security screenings will enable touchless bag checks;
  • Capacity at indoor venues and on some attractions, including the Wave Pool and Lazy River, will be reduced to meet social distancing requirements;
  • Guests will be allowed to ride on a tube with family/group members, but will not be allowed to share a tube with those not in their immediate party; and
  • A limited number of complimentary lifejackets will be available upon request; however, families are encouraged to provide their own coast-guard approved lifejackets for children under 42 inches, or those who are not strong swimmers. All Hurricane Harbor lifejackets will be sanitized after every guest use.

Extensive Sanitization and Disinfecting Protocols
  • Trained and dedicated cleaning teams have been put in place;
  • Rides and handrails will be cleaned throughout the day;
  • Team members will frequently sanitize and disinfect high-touch points, including the following:
  • Public Seating
  • Tabletops
  • Counters
  • Doors
  • Trash Cans
  • Deck Chairs
  • Life Jackets
  • Tubes and Rafts
  • Restroom staff will be stationed to disinfect each stall, sink, and shower area on a frequent basis;
  • Multiple hand-washing and alcohol-based hand-sanitizer stations will be located throughout the parks; and
  • All team member work areas will be regularly sanitized and disinfected.

Sanitized Food Preparation and Service
  • Modified menus and implementation of mobile food ordering will help facilitate touchless transactions;
  • Self-service buffets and salad bars will be reconfigured to eliminate guest contact with food;
  • Condiments, self-serve cutlery, and napkins will be provided to guests with their meals as required; and
  • Beverages will be served by attendants; any drink bottle refills will be served in a paper cup each time guests refill.

Commercial-Grade Cleaning Equipment and Supplies
  • All employees will be issued Team Member Action Packs which will include the following items: a safety face mask, safety glasses, and disposable gloves;
  • Low pressure backpack sprayers will be utilized for disinfecting large areas;
  • Abundant supplies of sanitizers and disinfectants will be available;
  • Microfiber cloths will be used to sanitize surfaces; and
  • Queue line supplies, fencing, and tents will be in place to promote safe social distancing.

Multi-Layered Guest and Team Member Communication
  • Frontline team members will go through extensive COVID-19 training;
  • Safety messaging and reminders will be displayed on Six Flags’ website, and in newsletters;
  • Distance markers and physical distance indicators will be in place; and
  • Informational safety signage will be posted throughout the park.

Park Reservations System to Manage Attendance

Six Flags will establish attendance caps that will be well below the park’s theoretical capacity in order to allow for proper social distancing. All Members, Season Pass Holders and all guests with a single-day or group ticket will need to make a reservation at www.sixflags.com/reserve. Guests who need single day tickets will be able to reserve during the purchase process. The process will take 5-7 minutes, and guests will complete the following steps:
  • Enter their online order number, ticket number or Membership/Season Pass number;
  • Select the day and the approximate time they want to visit;
  • Acknowledge their understanding of the company’s health policy;
  • Order pre-paid parking, if they do not already have a parking pass; and
  • Watch a brief video describing new social distancing and sanitization procedures.
Reservations launch today. Guests will be contacted electronically (either by email, text or both) the day before their scheduled visit to confirm their intent to visit. All Members and Season Pass Holders will receive booking priority over single-day and group ticket buyers.
The Six Flags brand is synonymous with family fun and thrills for all ages. These significant new changes are designed to improve the overall park experience while keeping guests and employees safe. The park will also offer “mask break zones” in select locations to provide socially-distanced areas for guests who wish to temporarily remove their masks.
Some rides, retail and food locations may not be available during the initial opening period.  Additional attractions will operate as they become available.

Six Flags Season Passes and Memberships are currently on sale. Members can enjoy priority park entry and tremendous discounts of up to 50% on nearly all food and merchandise all season long. Gold Plus, Platinum, Diamond, and Diamond Elite levels are available featuring all the perks of a Season Pass plus other benefits including admission to all Six Flags branded theme and waterparks, preferred parking, and points that can be redeemed for free food, merchandise, and special experiences.
