During Homeschool Days, students in grades K-12 may purchase a ticket to the park for just $37 plus tax. Accompanying adults may purchase a ticket for $47 plus tax. To purchase tickets, homeschool families should call Dollywood group sales at (888) 428-6789 Monday-Friday. Purchase must be made at least 72 hours in advance of the planned visit. Homeschool tickets are not available at the front gate.
 
Additionally, homeschool students may take advantage of a special rate at Dollywood’s DreamMore Resort and Spa. When calling to purchase their tickets, families should ask about booking at the resort. The rate of $129 per night (Sunday-Thursday only) is available for homeschoolers now through Sept. 24.
 
Not many classrooms measure 160 acres, but Dollywood is at the head of the class when it comes to fun, interactive learning in a beautiful outdoor setting.
 
Dollywood’s rides represent principles of physics that thrill students in more ways than one. The law of conservation of momentum can be observed on the bumper cars. On the Smoky Mountain River Rampage, Archimedes’ principle, buoyant force and displacement can be learned. Dollywood also has created new curriculum based on some of its most popular roller coasters called “Science in the Park.” A Science in the Park workbook—downloadable at dollywood.com/groups/education—guides students through how the park’s coasters demonstrate the principles of gravity, speed, velocity and so much more.
 
Dollywood offers a unique ornithology lesson at the spectacular Eagle Mountain Sanctuary, home to the country’s largest collection of non-releasable bald eagles.  Dollywood also is headquarters for the not-for-profit American Eagle Foundation (AEF), which promotes the preservation of the bald eagle and other birds of prey.  A 1.5 million-cubic-foot natural outdoor aviary in the park’s Craftsman’s Valley area recreates the birds’ natural habitat, giving students the rare opportunity to see these magnificent birds up close. Adjacent to Eagle Mountain Sanctuary, the Wings of America show provides an in-depth look at several different species of raptors, including hawks, vultures, owls and golden eagles. TVA, Dollywood’s Official Education Partner, has created a number of STEM-based experiences that correlate to the park’s attractions. The Dollywood-related curriculum teaches about water filtration and conservation, potential and kinetic energy, alternative modes of transportation, harnessing water to create electricity and more. Additionally, TVA “Did You Know?” signs can be found throughout the park which feature educational facts tied to the Dollywood experience. 
 
Those looking for a history lesson can see centuries-old techniques come to life as Dollywood features dozens of craft demonstrations daily.  Students visiting Dollywood can see master craftspeople practicing unique art forms like glass blowing, blacksmithing, leather crafting, candle making, wood carving and pottery.

​UPPER MARLBORO, MARYLAND — August 17, 2020 — Six Flags America, DC’s Thrill Capital, leads the way for Halloween thrills and chills with a new event for the entire family— HALLOWFEST. The event will feature Thrills by Day with plenty of family-friendly activities and Chills by Night with rides on monster coasters in the dark and haunting Halloween theming throughout the park. HALLOWFEST will kick off October 3 and run weekends through November 1, operating from 1:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. with limited capacity admission to ensure social distancing. Reservations will be required and slots are expected to fill up quickly. Comprehensive and ongoing safety protocols will be in effect for the entire run of the event.

Six Flags worked in partnership with its epidemiologist consultants to create a safe Halloween experience that meets or exceeds federal, state, and local guidelines. Park attendance will be carefully monitored to ensure social distancing and all Members, Season Pass Holders, and guests with single-day tickets will be required to make a reservation to attend HALLOWFEST.

• All team members (including scare-actors) and all guests 3 years and up will be required to wear masks covering the nose and mouth while in the parks;
• No indoor mazes, haunted houses, or indoor shows will be operated;
• A limited number of nighttime scare-actors will remain at least six feet away from guests and each other;  Guests viewing outdoor entertainment will be separated by at least six feet;
• Props, rides, restraints, handrails, and dining and restroom facilities will be cleaned and sanitized regularly; and

JACKSON, N.J. — August 17, 2020 — Six Flags Great Adventure, the World’s Ultimate Thrill Park, leads the way for Halloween thrills and chills with a new event for the entire family--HALLOWFEST.  The event will feature Thrills by Day with family-friendly activities and Chills by Night with rides on monster coasters…in the dark and haunting Halloween theming throughout the park. HALLOWFEST will kick off September 18 and run weekends through November 1 plus October 12. The park will operate from 2 to 10 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays, and from 5 p.m. with varying closing times on Friday evenings. Reservations will ensure limited capacity admission, and slots are expected to fill up quickly. The company’s comprehensive and ongoing safety protocols will be in effect for the entire run of the event.

“Our annual Fright Fest celebration is one of the most anticipated Halloween events of the season. • Back by popular demand, a Trick-or-Treat Trail with kid-friendly Halloween monsters and individually packaged candy and treats;
• Kid-centric hay bale maze in one direction;
• Fun rides for all ages in the crisp, fall air; and
• Halloween-themed specialty treats, like gooey caramel apples and funnel cakes made with Snickers candy, available for purchase.

 
For Chills by Night beginning at 6 p.m., all haunted attractions will be available outdoors in the wide-open midways:
