Millions of Lights and Thrills to Delight at Six Flags Over Georgia’s Holiday in the Park

Atlanta’s Most Dazzling and Safe Holiday Spectacular Returns November 21
​AUSTELL, Ga. — November 13, 2020 -- With millions of lights and holiday thrills to delight, Holiday in the Park®, returns exclusively to Six Flags Over Georgia beginning November 21. The holiday wonderland will feature 14 intricately themed areas and 31 thrilling holiday rides, including eight world-class roller coasters. The one-of-a-kind holiday experience also lights up the park with more than one million LED lights, dazzling live outdoor shows and festive seasonal food, all combining to make Holiday in the Park the region’s most charming family adventure. 
​“Holiday in the Park is Atlanta’s premier destination for holiday thrills that can only be experienced at Six Flags Over Georgia,” said Park President Dale Kaetzel. “We take great satisfaction in offering our guests beautiful lighting displays and world-class rides in a safe and clean outdoor environment. This event has become a time-honored tradition and a favorite place for creating fond memories with family and friends during this special time of the year.”  
Beginning November 21, Holiday in the Park will offer guest-favorite holiday thrills including:

  • ALL NEW – Polar Tunnel, featuring dazzling ice-blue trees sparkling with the illusion of falling snow from above;
  • The magical A Main Street Christmas park entrance with a 165,000 twinkling light canopy and artificial snow;
  • CATWOMAN Whip and POISON IVY Toxic Spin will send riders spinning through the magical lights in the all-new GOTHAM City;
  • Boarding a magical train ride to the ALL-NEW North Pole Post Office, where guests can drop off their hand written letters to Santa with the help of jovial elves in a socially-distanced environment; and
  • The iconic highlight of the event—the historic 1908 Riverview Carousel at Candlelight Carousel featuring more than 100,000 lights and 250 luminary candles, among other themed areas.
 
Six Flags worked in partnership with its epidemiologist consultants to create a safe Holiday in the Park® experience that meets or exceeds federal, state, and local guidelines. Park attendance will be carefully monitored to avoid overcrowding and all Members, Season Pass Holders, and guests with single-day tickets will be required to make a reservation to attend Holiday in the Park®.

  • All team members and all guests three years and older will be required to wear masks covering the nose and mouth while in the park;
  • No indoor shows will operate;
  • Social distancing will be strictly enforced;
  • Guests viewing outdoor entertainment will be separated by at least six feet;
  • Props, rides, restraints, handrails, and dining and restroom facilities will be cleaned and sanitized regularly; and
  • Multiple hand-washing and alcohol-based hand sanitizer stations will be located throughout the parks for guest and team member usage.

Holiday in the Park operates on select days beginning November 21 through January 3, including all of Thanksgiving week except for Thanksgiving Day.
