8/19/2019 Park Journey Week in Review: 8-19-2019To say that this week had a few new announcements would be an EXTREME understatement. On Thursday alone we had announcements for most of the Cedar Fair parks, a new nighttime show at Halloween Horror Nights Orlando AND an announcement from Legoland, California that seemingly came out of nowhere. We also had a few updates of our own. Grab a refill of that morning coffee because there is a lot to catch up on this week if you happened to miss anything. - Gregg Walt Disney World Halloween Merchandising The first of two Florida updates this week, Renée takes a quick look at the Halloween Merchandise now available at Walt Disney World. Star Wars Galaxy's Edge Preview at Disney's Hollywood Studios It's getting to be that time again!! Galaxy's Edge is getting ready to open in Florida and we were able to attend one of the previews. We are excited to be covering this amazing addition to the Disney Parks on both coasts. Silver Dollar City announces $30 Million investment for 2020 Silver Dollar City announced their new raft ride, Mystic River Falls, this week. But that wasn't all. Lots of other great stuff was announced to go along with it. Six Flags Magic Mountain West Coast Racers and Fright Fest Update Our last update from Magic Mountain until most likely Fright Fest, we take a look at West Coast Racers progress and prep for Fright Fest. Available in photo and video mode. =) Legoland California announces largest expansion in park history Lego Movie Land is coming to Legoland California, and it looks awesome. Complete with "Soarin' over Lego Movie World" on a triple decker couch. Can't wait to see this one!! Universal Orlando announces Halloween Horror Nights Scare Zones Is it wrong that I INSTANTLY starting pricing out a (kind of) last minute trip to Halloween Horror Nights after seeing what scare zones are coming? Jurassic Run at Universal Studios Hollywood All of the details for this November's Jurassic Run at Universal Studios Hollywood. Run a 5k or 10k this time!! 20 Years of Fear at Howl-O-Scream Busch Gardens Tampa is celebrating 20 years of their amazing Halloween event. Definitely take the time to check it out this year!! Rob Zombie's House of 1000 Corpses is coming to Halloween Horror Nights The last maze announcement for Orlando (Hollywood still has one more) was House of 1000 Corpses. Anybody still think HHN is going family friendly? Pass Member Appreciation Days at Universal Studios Hollywood Are you a Pass Member at Universal Studios Hollywood? Well you're in luck. It's time to get some discounts!! Get ready for a Knott's Family Picnic in 2020 It's the 100th anniversary for Knott's Berry Farm, and it looks like they are going to be celebrating their history in a big way. Just wish this was all year and not just the summer. Maybe they'll celebrate Knott's Scary Farm separately? New Spooky Nighttime Lagoon Show coming to Halloween Horror Nights Orlando This sounds totally awesome, a nighttime show featuring Halloween Horror Nights. The Creature from the Black Lagoon has to be part of this one, right? Behind The Scenes of Jurassic World The Ride with the Cast and Crew A fun release and fun video featuring some familiar faces behind the scenes of the awesome Jurassic World: The Ride at Universal Studios Hollywood All new water park, Soaky Mountain to open in Tennessee in 2020 This one came out of left field during all of the announcements on Thursday, a welcome one to be sure. King's Island announces Orion for 2020 Season In probably the biggest, and least surprising news, King's Island announced their new for 2020 coaster, Orion. Definitely more comparable to Leviathan than Fury. Which is just fine with us. Interactive Treat Trails coming to Oogie Boogie Bash at Disney California Adventure Some fun news about the Halloween event at Disneyland Resort came out on Friday. How long until they start having Family Friendly Halloween Mazes? Not So Scary Halloween pass now available at Walt Disney World If you're local or even doing a long vacation and want to check out Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party on multiple nights, Walt Disney World has something you may want to check out!
