Picture
Oct. 5, 2020 (Los Angeles, CA) --- L.A. Zoo is excited to announce its drive-in movie series happening three weekends in October culminating in a can’t-miss Halloween spook-tacular. This classic drive-in movie experience kicks off Friday, October 16 and runs through Sunday, November 1 with each weekend having a different theme: “Animal Adventures,” “The Brillant Betty White,” and “Hair-Raising Halloween.” Movie theater fare will be available through mobile food ordering from the comfort of one’s car. This magical night under the stars will allow families and friends to enjoy a favorite pastime while remaining safe and physically distanced. Not only will this be a night of safe, cinematic fun, but your ticket purchase helps support the important conservation and education work of your Los Angeles Zoo. Ticket quantities are extremely limited and will sell out quickly. For more information and to purchase tickets online, please visit www.lazoo.org/movies.

The first two weekends, gate opens at 6 p.m. with pre-show entertainment featuring favorite animals, trivia games, and more prior to the start of the movie at 8 p.m. Pricing for these two weekends: $40 per vehicle with up to two people; $50 per Member vehicle with three or more people; and $55 per general admission vehicle with three or more people.

For the final weekend, the L.A. Zoo’s Halloween celebration rises from the dead with a spook-tacular four-night drive-in movie event starting Thursday, October 29 featuring Halloween classics. Gather the brood for a ghoulishly fun, yet safe, night that includes all the traditional Halloween trappings like frightful decor, bags of candy, a virtual costume contest, and more. The Zoo’s parking lot will transform into a creepy-cool classic drive-in with a festively decorated entry replete with phantasmagorical photo opportunities and a devilishly delicious candy pick-up station. Get in the spirit by dressing in costume for a chance to win prizes, and the first 50 decorated cars to arrive will receive a pumpkin as well as a carving stencil depicting an L.A. Zoo animal. Gate opens at 6 p.m. and will feature pre-show entertainment prior to the start of the movie at 8:30 p.m. Pricing for this weekend: $100 per vehicle with up to two people; $125 per Member vehicle with three or more people; and $140 per general admission vehicle with three or more people.
