Today we've got a great update for you from Canada's Wonderland, and the latest look at AlpenFury construction progress from last weekends Season Passholder Preview which Nicholas was able to attend. We've also go a quick video update and all-new animated POV of the coaster from our partner site ThrillGeek.
Let's dive right in! 
We'll start off here in the station area. As you can see there is a LOT of work still to do.

Three coasters going above, under, next to, twisting around each other. Insanity.
It's going to be amazing getting shots of all 3 of these coasters interacting with each other.

Today we were invited out to Canada's Wonderland for an amazing construction tour of AlpenFury. Lots of work going on with the coaster and Nicholas was there to get some amazing pictures and video of the new for 2025 Coaster.  Some notes about the tour:
As of right now we do not have an anticipated opening date, but we will keep you posted. Let's get into it!  Our host for today's tour. Hey Nicholas!!  Lots of supports ready to be installed  This element is going to be insane  Let's be honest, the entire coaster is going to be insane  Sexy curves    This area of the park is definitely looking different   Not one straight piece of track to be seen   The interactions with the other coasters in this area are going to be epic   Do we even know how many times AlpenFury goes over/under Wonderland Mountain and Vortex?  It's A LOT!  We even got to see some track being installed during the tour  The station and queue area looks different than it did during our tour in August  Oh, there's some straight track. =)  Swooooop!  All of the rides storage and maintenance will be done inside Wonderland Mountain   Heading into the mountain  And out of the mountain  You can see where the track is going to curve up and out of the mountain   This is going to truly be one of those awesomely epic elements   Electrical stuffs   Let's take a look at the trains! 3/20/2025 Rapterra Media Day at Kings Dominion Hey there Park Journey fans and welcome to our comprehensive look at the all new coaster Rapterra, the culmination of years of planning and kicking off the 50th anniversary of Kings Dominion! I believe this is the first time we've ever covered a media event at this park and we were thrilled that fan of the site PJ was able to head over to the park to not only get an incredible on-ride POV (seriously, have already heard from people who "don't like" on-ride POV's that they actually loved it) but we also have a comprehensive look at the ride and other prep for the 50th anniversary of the park. So let's head right in. And thanks again to PJ for the amazing coverage. I think we can all admit he knocked it out of the park!  Let's start off with a few pictures provided by the park showing off Rapterra. Being from the West Coast I've only ridden 2 of these (X-Flight and Gatekeeper) but I loved both. We need one of these out here.    It's not a media day with out food. Or in this case, Kings Dominion showing off some new food for their 50th celebration!
   Let's head in and check out Rapterra!  A couple of weeks ago the park announced a 48" height requirement for the coaster. Which was a very pleasant surprise!

  I don't know that I'll actually get out to the park this year, but I'll need somebody to pick me up a mug at some point. =)    Love this one!!  They even have a Spirit Jersey!  And of course, some sweet looking Rapterra merch is available too
