Today we continue our look at Holiday Events for 2018 at Holiday In The Park at Six Flags Magic Mountain. Just a few short weeks after the fogs and screams of Fright Fest we are greeted with snow and lights as far as the eye can see. This years event has two new area's and lots of great food to try when their Taste of the Holidays food festival begins on December 15th. We will definitely be back for that!! Written by Gregg Condon Welcome to Holiday In The Park!! Our first stop was to the Metro Park Pub to check out some of the food coming for Taste of the Holidays!! First up was this turkey wrap thing, which I loved! Who doesn't like some ribs? Both the Slider and Cherry Pie Nachos were fantastic After stuffing our faces for a bit, we headed out to the all new area in the park, Merry Lane. (Don't worry, more food pics are below) We absolutely LOVED this new area, some great photo ops and snow!! We've already pitched the idea that they should bring these back for Fright Fest next year, but have them be Jack O' Lanterns. You can even go inside some of the bulbs!! Don't miss our Holiday In The Park Video!! SNOW!!! It's nice to see them using the lighting on Justice League to fit the area. We also headed over to one of our favorites, Rockin' Universe. This was seriously the only pic we took, but we have lots of video of the area above. Another one of our favorite area's. So different, and that's amazing. Giant walking Candy Cane!! Santa's Cottage has moved from up near Tatsu to down by Bugs Bunny World. A much better location. The next two pics show how a photo is made!! Lol. Send a letter to Santa!! Mrs. Claus will make sure all of your letters get delivered on time. Full Throttle Nights are back!! The front of the park always looks spectacular for the holidays Here's our Construction Update!! =) Always one of our favorite area's of the park Oh, we promised you some more food pics didn't we!! Root Beer Cake!!! Some kind of pudding thing with a cookie thing on the bottom It was yummy More of the great food coming to Taste of the Holidays including a Guinness Sloppy Joe and a Prosciutto Mac and Cheese!! Rice Pudding and Elote!! Last and most definitely not least, we wanted to share this little guy. When you go to the park make sure to buy one of these for only $12.99. For each one purchased the park will donate one to CHiPS for Kids!! When you purchase one, be sure to share to your social media and tag us!! Everybody who shares a pic with their Furry Friend will get something from IAAPA!! We hope you enjoyed our look at Holiday in the Park and are making plans to visit. We will most definitely be back!! Last weekend we were invited out to Six Flags Magic Mountain for another amazing hear of Holiday In the Park. Kind of weird to think that just a few years ago there were practically no decorations at this park and it has turned into such a holiday classic event. Written by Gregg Condon The lights are about to come on!! Ready? Let there be light!! While waiting for it to get a bit darker outside, we suggest checking out Kwerkmas!! It's a really fun show!! And when you get out, it's totally dark and the lights are amazing!! This year they have a Fire + Ice Pub at Metro Park with a lot of really amazing food including Lobster Mac and Cheese which was AMAZING!! DC Universe is as always a lot of fun Amazing lights everywhere Great photo op at the front of the park As you can see it was a bit crowded. But holiday fun was being had by all. Be sure to check out Holiday in the Park 2017. It's a hoot!!! Related Updates:
Recently we had the opportunity to check out the Christmas spectacular at Six Flags Great Adventure, “Holiday In the Park” . After premiering just a few short years ago, this event has quickly become a not to miss holiday event and easily our favorite Christmas event in the North East. We'll also have a quick look at Justice League: Battle for Metropolis Written by Chris Con (Click on any of the pictures below for a larger version) Since this special time of year is all about spending time with your loved ones and families, we traveled with our preschooler and kindergartener. While we love Six Flags collections of world class roller coasters and rides, this event is so family friendly that we had a wonderful time just enjoying the different holiday attractions. Walking into the park your are greeted by an incredible Christmas tree that magically comes alive every 30 minutes with dancing lights and festive music.. This is not to be missed. Your little ones can meet Santa (they do a great photo op here too which is much better than most mall Santa set ups), send a letter to the North Pole, listen to the spectacular live singers, and even roast s’mores at one of the many numerous fire pits. If all Great Adventure offered was this and the spectacular light displays, it would be a top notch event, but as a special Christmas gift for all of us, you also have a collection of top notch coasters to ride between all the merriment. It should be noted as well that the Joker does run during this event.. BONUS: We also got a look at Justice League construction. Looks to be about as far along as Magic Mountain's. But since this park is going to be closed for a few months this is likely the last look we'll get until it opens in Spring. Thanks for reading, we hope you all enjoyed our look at Holiday In The Park at Six Flags Great Adventure. Thanks again to the park for having us out to check out the event. We can't wait for next season!! Related Updates: |
