Today we've got our first Knott's update since I believe Scary Farm, and it's chock full of HangTime goodness. It's been a crazy time of year for sure, so sit back with your holiday cup o' joe and enjoy some HangTime! Photos: Matthew Nelson Welcome to Knott's Berry Farm. Hope you all had a nice holiday and are ready to ring in 2018. Something is different back there ... The Knott's Skyline has changed!! What you've all been waiting for, the Knott's Sky Cabin!!! =) (The park has been using it to take pictures of HangTime, but no guests) Would ya look at that? Other than the lift, there is not one straight piece of track on this entire thing A twisted maze of awesome It's definitely photogenic Close up of the brakes That first drop is going to be a lot of fun A beautiful sunset and an awesome looking coaster Wow!! We hope you enjoyed this update. They are VERY close to finishing up the track of the ride, not sure what their work schedule is this week but we wouldn't be surprised to see HangTime open in time for the Boysenberry Festival. Today we've got a bit of an exclusive behind the scenes look at RailBlazer construction at California's Great America. Written by Gregg Condon Lots and lots of walls up around RailBlazer Normally this is all we'd be able to show you in a construction update But exclusively for you Park Journey readers ... we have dirt!!! And Rocks!! And piles of dirt!! And trees!! Thanks to the amazing PR staff at California's Great America for allowing us the chance to get a look at construction, we can't wait to see more very very soon!! Yesterday was a huge day for coaster announcements throughout the Cedar Fair Chain. While much of the attention went to Cedar Point as always, it was the west coast of the chain that had a couple of announcements later in the day that proved to be worth the wait. We were invited to the announcement event at Knott's Berry Farm, Here is our story. =) Written by Gregg Condon After spending a few hours in the park enjoying National Rollercoaster Day it was time to head over to the Boardwalk BBQ for some yummy food, drinks and music. Oh, and some kind of announcement thing. Of course Dan from Westcoaster had to curse the new ride before it was even announced. We were all pretty happy the new ride had nothing to do with Wind. We had a front row seat Here are some highlights from the announcement. We were all pretty excited when we saw this The always popular Ride Stats Some logo and art, looks sweet. Can't wait to see it lit up at night. After the announcement we were given a little tour of the site. They are going to start pouring the foundations on August 28. So that means when we go back to the park for the Knott's Scary Farm event on the 31st we should have some nice construction shots too. Yay Dirt!!! Been a few years since we've seen a big plot of dirt at Knott's, it's a great thing! This view is going to look way different very soon Dirt Selfie!! As seen a few hours earlier, they are already hard at work in the area. We did try to find out from the dippin dots gal a few hours ahead of time, but she wasn't talking. After our tour it was party time!! The gangs all here!! Hang Loose!! The Boardwalk BBQ really is great and we can't wait to try more food in the near future. Thank you Knott's for another great event, we can't wait to Hang 10 on HangTime in 2018!! For more information on HangTime be sure to click here for the full press release. Related Updates:
