ORLANDO, Fla. (August 19, 2022) – Howl-O-Scream is coming back with vengeance this year at SeaWorld Orlando as the park just revealed a bigger and more terrifying line-up for 2022 featuring all-new houses, scare zones, shows and bars that will make guests scream in fright. When night falls, things take an ominous turn as a cast of creepy characters emerge from the depths and lure guests into worlds of horror. Guests must evade angry haunts as they rampage through scare zones or seek shelter indoors, only to find they have entered a house of horrors. They can deepen the thrill with a chilling nighttime ride on MakoMantaInfinity Falls or the park’s newest thrill ride, Ice Breaker. Guests can quench their thirst for fear at a fiendishly interactive bar, or feel the monstrous electricity of a live show. Howl-O-Scream 2022 features more haunted houses, more scare zones, more coasters and more unexpected frights than the Inaugural Fear—making it a can’t miss experience for haunt fans and thrill seekers alike. SeaWorld Orlando’s Howl-O-Scream runs select nights from September 9 to October 31.

    More Horrifying Houses:
Guests at Howl-O-Scream will be immersed in terror as they hear every bloodcurdling shriek and feel every spine-tingling terror upon entering any of the houses at this year’s haunt. They may encounter Scratch, a siren with a thirst for blood as they race to escape her clutches in the All-New “Blood Beckoning” or they may find themselves a permanent part of a ship crew, driven mad by cursed treasure in the All-New “Siren of the Seas,” Re-imagined houses “Captain’s Revenge—Drowned in Darkness” and “Dead Vines-Root of all Evil,” will frighten even the most daring and fan-favorite returning house, “Beneath the Ice” will chill guests to the bone.

    More Spine-Chilling Scare Zones:
Nowhere is safe from horror at Howl-O-Scream 2022. Guests must make their way through immersive scare zones that will test the limits of their bravery. They can try to run from icy, subhuman walkers in an Arctic wasteland, wander through a sea of restless souls or find themselves captive by the voodoo of the backwater bayous. A terrifying number of All-New Scare Zones join Howl-O-Scream 2022 as “Terrors of the Deep,” “Sea of Fear,” “Cut Throat Cove,” and “Captive Cargo” join the re-imagined “Frozen Terror” and returning “Deadly Ambush” and “Witchcraft Bayou.”

    More Sinister Shows:
The Howl-O-Scream experience would not be complete without SeaWorld’s darkly entertaining, high-energy shows like the haunting “Siren’s Song”. Guests can hear a famed explorer’s tales of tracking sirens in the All-New “Lurking in the Depths” or be mesmerized watching a pulse-pounding musical performance starring the one and only Jack the Ripper in the award-winning “Monster Stomp.”

    More Bewitching Bars:
While there is no true escape from the terror, this year’s haunt features several themed interactive bar experiences that may not provide a respite from guests’ fears but are sure to quench their thirsts for adventure.  Each bewitching bar features specialty creepy cocktails for thirsty thrill-seekers. Guests can check out the All-New “Allura’s on the Rocks” but be careful not to look directly at the host who can turn people to stone with one glance. Guests may notice her recent victims nearby.   Others may prefer to hear the tales of the mythical monsters at “Longshoremen's Tavern,” grab a frosty cold one at “Tormented,” answer the call at “Siren’s Last Call” or pick their poison at “Poison Grotto.”

Universal City, Calif. (August 18, 2022) – This year’s iconic “Terror Tram” expands to include a cinematic twist on Jordan Peele’s blockbuster films in a crossover experience that reimagines Us, featuring The Tethered, a revolutionary army of vengeful doppelgangers, whose uprising invades the all-new Jupiter’s Claim set from the filmmaker’s latest pop nightmare, Nope, as part of Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood, which kicks off on Thursday, September 8.

The “Terror Tram” is unique to Universal Studios Hollywood, inviting guests to explore by foot parts of the famous movie studio backlot, home to some of the most notorious movie sets. Once guests disembark the Tram, the terror is unleashed. This year, the villainous Hollywood Harry unravels “Hollywood Harry’s Halloween,” a nightmarish spectacle with a demented cast of characters that winds past the iconic Psycho House then through Steven Spielberg’s War of the Worlds set.  As guests make their way through a choreographed massacre at the Jupiter’s Claim set from Nope, they will encounter The Tethered from Us in a frightening finale of epic proportions. After the success of the 2019 “Us” house, this experience will feature all-new choreography by conceptual artist and choreographer Madeline Hollander.
The madness continues with thrilling haunted house experiences. The full line-up follows:
    • “The Weeknd: After Hours Nightmare” takes guests into the twisted mind of multi award-winning artist The Weeknd as they step into a surreal living nightmare filled with grotesque characters and themes inspired by his music and short films.
    • “Halloween” ventures back to where it all began in an eerily authentic haunted house that depicts the most chilling moments from the critically-acclaimed original film.
    • “The Horrors of Blumhouse” brings to life Blumhouse’s supernatural thriller The Black Phone and horror-comedy Freaky.
    • “Universal Monsters: Legends Collide” expands on the thrilling legacy from Universal Pictures as the most notorious horror icons, The Wolf Man, Dracula and The Mummy, come together for the first time ever in an epic battle.
    • MGM’s “Killer Klowns from Outer Space” traps guests in a frightening funhouse of murderous clown-like creatures.
    • “La Llorona: The Weeping Woman” features the legend of La Llorona who comes to life to terrorize the living as she mourns the children she murdered.
    • “Scarecrow: The Reaping” finds that Mother Nature’s retribution against the homesteaders for their sins of the past will be carried out by the farmland’s scarecrows who have remained mute witnesses – and are now guardians of destruction for anyone who crosses their path.
    • “Universal Horror Hotel” lives ups to its reputation as the original owner, who was executed years ago for his dastardly deeds, continues to haunt the place today – and guests must escape his vengeful spirit or risk becoming a permanent resident.
    • Award-winning hip-hop dance crew Jabbawockeez brings an all-new, high-energy show nightly to this year’s event, featuring their gravity-defying dance moves, special effects and pulse-pounding music.
All-new scare zones will taunt and torment guests as they navigate the darkness from one terrifying house to the next:
    • “El Pueblo del Terror” is an extension of “La Llorona: The Weeping Woman” as the horror continues once guests exit the haunted house and discover there is no escaping the frightening legend along with other supernatural characters from Latin America’s most frightening myths.
    • “Sideshow Slaughterhouse” turns New York Street into a battle zone as the performers and workers from a seedy carnival sideshow are on a murderous rampage.
    • “Clownsawz” features a demonic troop of clowns who band together to terrorize guests with chainsaws as they enter the park.

Guests also can revel at select theme park attractions open during the run of event, including “Jurassic World—The Ride,” “Transformers™: The Ride-3D,” “Revenge of the Mummy—The Ride”
    and “The Simpsons Ride™.”

    10 HAUNTED HOUSES
(* notates haunted houses also featured at Universal Studios Hollywood's Halloween Horror Nights)

    The Weeknd: After Hours Nightmare*
For the first time ever, multi award-winning artist The Weeknd joins forces with Universal Studios’ Halloween Horror Nights to inspire an all-new, terrifying haunted house based on his record-breaking “After Hours” album. With the eerie sounds of the hit album reverberating throughout the experience, guests will step into a surreal living nightmare in The Weeknd: After Hours Nightmare” – filled with grotesque characters and themes inspired by the artist’s music and short films.

    Halloween*
John Carpenter’s classic 1978 slasher film Halloween returns to Halloween Horror Nights in a terrifying haunted house – Halloween – where guests come face-to-face with the merciless Michael Myers. As guests make their way through his dilapidated home and chilling moments from the film, they’ll narrowly dodge attacks from the knife-wielding Myers as he stalks their every move.

    Universal Monsters: Legends Collide*
Universal Pictures’ most notorious horror icons, The Wolf Man, Dracula and The Mummy, come together for the first time ever in the all-new “Universal Monsters: Legends Collide” haunted house. Guests will get caught in the middle of a bloodthirsty battle between the terrifying trio as they hunt to find the amulet that will break their curse – and they’ll destroy anyone who gets in their way.

    The Horrors of Blumhouse*
Two horror masterpieces come to life in The Horrors of Blumhouse.” Guests will find themselves trapped between a frantic teen and the ruthless serial killer she’s swapped bodies with in Freaky. Then, they’ll try to make a desperate escape from the dark basement of The Grabber’s “fun” house before they become his latest victim in the terrifying The Black Phone.

    Spirits of the Coven
Guests will be invited to a lively 1920s speakeasy, but something sinister is brewing beneath in “Spirits of the Coven.” A coven of seemingly beautiful flapper witches will lure those who enter into a hidden brewing area. Once they’ve ensnared their victims, they’ll reveal their haggish true form and turn guests into a witch’s brew. They’ll be cackling; everyone else will be screaming.

    Bugs: Eaten Alive
While touring a 1950s home of the future, guests will be swarmed by hordes of revolting insects after a pest control system failure unleashes them. Many-legged horrors, growing, mutating and laying eggs in human hosts will worm their way into the deepest of fears. Those who dare enter will be dropping like flies in “Bugs: Eaten Alive.”
    Fiesta de Chupacabras
The mountains of Latin America are filled with many wonderful traditions. In one tiny village, they pay tribute to the legendary creature Chupacabras with an annual fiesta. In “Fiesta de Chupacabras,” there’s more to the legend than meets the eye. And in this colorful village, the streets are lined with the crimson blood of visitors.

    Hellblock Horror
They too do time for their crimes. In “Hellblock Horror,” guests will have to survive visiting hours in a secret penitentiary that houses treacherous monsters and fiends of all kinds that are hell bent on taking over and destroying the world. The interdimensional power core containing the inmates has failed and the monsters are breaking out of their cells, allowing them easy access to guests, and the exit.

    Dead Man’s Pier: Winter’s Wake
There’s nothing charming about this ghostly New England fishing village. A phantom sea captain is summoning undead fishermen from their watery grave, a grisly crew with rotting, barnacle-encrusted bodies. Guests may have escaped their hooks in the “Dead Man’s Wharf” scare zone in 2016 – now they’d better batten down the hatches before they’re reeled in and drug under in “Dead Man’s Pier: Winter’s Wake.”

    Descendants of Destruction
Deep in the subway tunnels below an abandoned, toxic city, mutated humans fight for survival in “Descendants of Destruction.” The deeper one goes, the darker their fate. In the fading light of the poisoned depths, hideous creatures who’ve long ago left their humanity behind prey on all who try to make their way through the darkness.

    FIVE SCARE ZONES
    Horrors of Halloween
The Pumpkin Lord, the spirit of Halloween, has returned to take over this year’s event, summoning hordes of fiendish creatures including demons, ghosts and witches. Terror has taken root.

    Scarecrow: Cursed Soil
At an abandoned farm, scarecrow sentinels have risen from the crust of the earth to hunt souls and seek revenge. They’ll harvest the screams of those who dare enter this dilapidated barn.

    Sweet Revenge
The sweets from Major Sweets’ candy company have turned these 1950s kids into crazed killers. With pint-sized costumed maniacs roaming the streets, Halloween will be a night of trick or treat mayhem.

    Graveyard: Deadly Unrest
On All Hallow’s Eve, a dark storm descends upon a cemetery and awakens long-dead spirits. These specters rise from their graves to capture souls for all eternity. No one living can escape them.

    Conjure the Dark
An evil sorceress has entered twisted stone ruins and called forth monstrosities from dark dimensions. This Halloween, blood will feed her army of the night.

    TWO LIVE SHOWS
    Halloween Nightmare Fuel Wildfire
The show that sparked a firestorm last year is ablaze with a new nightmare. Guests can get fired up to the beat of metal, rock and electronica as pyro and aerial performers return to reignite fears.

    Ghoulish! A Halloween Tale
As darkness falls, a ghost story becomes reality as guests go beyond the grave in a spectacularly spooky show on Universal Studios’ lagoon, featuring huge water screens and sinister music.

Along with the expected changes to this program such as price increases, there are also some new things. For example, the Dream Key has been discontinued and in it's place is the all new Inspire Key ($200 more than the Dream Key).

The Inspire Key (unlike the Dream Key) is very clear and up-front about blackout days and reservations.
    Picture
    Here's a breakdown:
    • Starting August 18th (no earlier than 9 a.m. Pacific), those with current Magic Keys expiring within 30 days will be able to renew their Magic Keys, or renew to a new slate of options.
    • While the Imagine, Enchant, and Believe Keys will once again be available to renewing Keyholders, the Dream Key is now discontinued.
    • Replacing the Dream Key, the new Inspire Key will step into the “top-tier” spot, offering limited "blockdates" during the holiday season (specifically, Inspire Keyholders will not be able to make reservations for dates between December 21st and January 1st).
    • Prices for the existing Keys have all increased between $50 and $150.
    • Disney is adding new perks and discounts to certain key types, including 20% off the purchase of Genie+, discounts on parking, included PhotoPass downloads for upper-tier passes, and more.
    • These new benefits will also be added for existing Keyholders on August 18th and lasting until the expiration of their pass.
    • A monthly payment option will be available to So Cal residents.
Below is a look at the updated Magic Key options:

    Returning Scare Zones
Knott's Scary Farm is far more than a collection of haunted attractions. Every night monsters spill out onto the streets and turn theme park midways into murderous scare zones. From the world-famous Ghost Town Streets to the Boardwalk area filled with evil clowns, there's nowhere to hide in Knott's Scary Farm.

Step back into the dark decadence of a by-gone era as the scare zone The Gore-ing 20's terrorizes even the bravest and most brutal souls. Here gangsters run illicit hooch for the ghostly revelers as the otherworldly musicians play the music of the damned. Tell the Bouncer the secret password, and you'll have the time of your life for as long as it lasts.

Ghost Town Streets is the original and largest, most terrifying scare zone that started it all. Bands of half-human, half-animal monsters prowl the streets and inhabit the fog, and beware the notoriously stunning sliders, who lunge from fog-filled corners of the land.

On the Boardwalk, deviant clowns crave your undying attention in the CARNEVIL scare zone.

Saddle up for one final ride through the bramble filled passageways of The Hollow scare zone. The treacherous Witches of the Hollow, and their armies of creatures have risen once again to battle with the Witch Hunter.

The Lake underneath Silver Bullet recedes to reveal the Forsaken Lake scare zone, where gothic creatures ravaged by the dark and murky waters wander from their crypts preying on unsuspecting visitors, looking for victims to drag back to their watery graves.
