The Holiday Season is here, and last night we were out at Knott's Merry Farm for our first holiday event of the season. It's another amazing year at Merry Farm, lots of great new things to see, holiday food and the parks merchandise game continues to improve. Let's head in and see!! Written by Gregg Condon Welcome to Knott's Merry Farm!! Sure, it's only November, and I'm usually a Grinch when it comes to Holiday stuff so early in the year. But as I said on our social media during the event, I didn't seem to mind this year. There's been so much bad stuff going on lately that a bit of Holiday Cheer was exactly what we needed. We hope you feel the same. No fog, but lots of pretty lights. And snow No more Dark Ride for 2018. Maybe next year they should have a holiday overlay to the Dark Ride for Merry Farm? =) Lots of great new decorations in The Boardwalk Obligatory construction update Really loved the decorations in Fiesta Village Be sure to check out our video from our visit featuring Snow and Glow and more around the park. We'll cover the shows the next time we visit. They also had a great opening night tree lighting ceremony. The park truly does look amazing all times of the year, but especially during Merry Farm Camp Snoopy was very colorful These swans got stuck Santa's Christmas Cabin is back where you can try a variety of holiday treats, and of course, hang out with the big guy. Speaking of Santa's Cabin ... let's check out some of the food Amazing Elote is always awesome This was interesting. I'm not a fan of sweet potato so I didn't enjoy it as much as others did. If you get one treat at Knott's Merry Farm, make it this. I need this recipe. Yule log. Not a log, I don't have a log. If I had a log not in the sense that you think I said I did. Some awesome Merry Farm merch available this year as well. May have to expand my closet beyond Halloween shirts. =) Thanks for checking out our Knotts Merry Farm Update. We wish you all the best. Don't forget, if you get cold, be sure to put your lamb over your shoulders. =) Related Videos:
Related Updates: Happy Tuesday Everybody!! We are slowly but surely getting back into the swing of things after the New Year and after a bit of an extra week off it's time to get back into regular updates. Today we have another New Years Eve update from Matt as he spent the evening at Knott's Berry Farm with his lovely wife Rose. Due to a bit of wet weather it was an awesome, kick back night at Knott's. Written by Matthew Nelson Welcome to Knott's on the last day of 2016! Before we head into the park, let's take a look at the Knott's Marketplace. We were asked by CA Great America to send them some pictures of Knott's Marketplace for a recent planning commission meeting. Would be awesome to see a similar Marketplace come to that park. It would be a great hit. Amazing sandwiches and then Cinnamon Rolls!! Remember when people used to debate online if this was an inversion or not? Good times, good times. The Sky Cabin was still closed on NYE. Lots of special lighting and entertainment 75 Seconds until 2017!! Awesome fireworks show What better way to kick off the New Year than with a Funnel Cake!! Alright, that's gonna wrap it up for this Knott's update. We will be back at the park soon for the Knott's Pink event, be sure you check out all of that info here. Also, the Active Fire and Police Personell free entry is back and you can find all of that info here. Related Updates: Today we have our update from the always amazing "Knott's Merry Farm". This year the event is back and better than ever with a plethora of amazing shows, the always amazing food and of course everything else that makes Knott's Berry Farm one of the best theme parks in the country. Unfortunately on the day we visited it was a bit rainy so we opted to not ruin the DSLR so these are all iPhone pics, but we will be back soon and will get more pictures and see more of the shows. Written by Gregg Condon Welcome to Knott's Merry Farm!! The tree looks great in it's new location where the stage used to be. Merry Moo It was my daughters boyfriends first visit to Knott's (yes, ever) so we had to have some fun with Sad Eye Joe, who was pretty surprised it was his first visit too. Which obviously meant experiencing some of the classic Knott's attractions (shucks). ;) Christmas on the Calico Railroad is always fun Love the cold rainy weather We also had to check out Santa, who was on a break the first time we stopped by. You can get lots of yummy snacks too that were left behind by those Red Barn folks. ;) Brief interlude for a construction update Ooooooh ... Aaaaaaah ... New Boardwalk BBQ coming in 2017. No trip to Knott's Merry Farm is complete without seeing "Merry Christmas, Snoopy" ... On Ice. Feel free to check out the slide show from this amazing performance. It gets better every year. Unfortunately due to the rain "It's the Merriest Christmas Charlie Brown" wasn't showing that night. We'll be back soon to check it out. Rain at Knott's means that pretty much every ride was shut down, but it was awesome just walking around and enjoying the park. Would have made for some nice DSLR pics if I wanted to get it wet. ;) We checked out the caves in Camp Snoopy, I remember them being bigger. ;) Back in Ghost Town, all the lights are on. (we sadly missed the snow too) SANTA!! I KNOW HIM!! Love the tree, it really fits in this spot. Thanks to Knott's for having us out for Merry Farm, we will be back at some point over the next two weekends for more holiday fun, more shows, better pics, and obviously more food.
