Looney Tunes Land to Debut at Six Flags Magic Mountain by Summer 2026

Complete reimagining of the park’s family area will offer a brand-new experience
that encourages exploration across four distinct areas
with loveable Looney Tunes™ characters at the heart of it all
    Picture
LOS ANGELES – Dec. 16, 2025 – Six Flags Magic Mountain is excited to announce major changes to its kids area, which will be reimagined as Looney Tunes™ Land, a brand-new park with travel at the heart of it and with loveable Looney Tunes characters to be found throughout, debuting summer 2026. This family-friendly area will be refreshed to evoke the warm, nostalgic feelings of the Chuck Jones era of Looney Tunes, featuring four distinct areas inspired by beloved classic characters. At the heart of the new Looney Tunes Land lies a cozy central park, where Bugs Bunny welcomes guests into his home. In the other three areas, visitors will traverse the New Mexico desert in pursuit of the Road Runner with Wile E. Coyote, explore lush tropics alongside Taz and take in the High Sierra with Daffy Duck at the helm.
    Picture
    TAZ-MANIA
Welcome to TAZ-mania! Guests will immerse themselves in a vibrant tropical landscape, but be on the lookout for the chaotic Taz, who has clearly left his mark. This area will feature an updated Whistlestop Train rethemed as Taz’s Tasmanian Train Tours, where guests can hop aboard the Tasmanian Express for a colorful and lively tour through the island’s wilderness. Be warned, though; the mischievous Tasmanian Devil himself has escaped his enclosure and is set to wreak havoc along the way. Meanwhile, the all-new Taz’s Exploration Trail (which replaces Magic Flyer and Tweety’s Escape locations) is where guests will explore the Tasmania Trail and go on a treasure hunt. This area will also add new seating and turf to the region.
    ROAD RUNNER RIDGE
In the New Mexico-inspired area, Wile E. Coyote will embark across the breathtaking badlands on his relentless quest to capture the elusive Road Runner. Of course, everyone will need to keep an eye out for ACME traps cleverly hidden among the captivating rock formations and desert terrain. Guests will be further transported into this coyote’s world with the iconic painted tunnel. Just like in the cartoons, there will be laughs and unexpected twists for all while navigating through this thrilling zone.
    BUGS BUNNY PLAY PARK
Bugs Bunny Play Park will be dedicated to the charismatic character that unites everyone and will be focused on frolicking fun. The area will replace Speedy Gonzalez Hot Rods and Pepe Le Pew’s Tea Party) and will feature thematic free play and exploration zones. A fan favorite, Merrie Melodies Merrie-Go-Round will be refurbished to match the rest of the park and will sport a vibrant color scheme and new marquee sign celebrating the adventurous spirit of the new area. Wascal’s, the area’s restaurant, will undergo a refresh, including a retheming of the scenic buildings and the addition of picnic tables to give guests a feel of dining at a civic park. Lastly, Wascal’s backside facade will include a new Granny’s House with an explorable interior with 2D elements.
    CAMP DUCK AMUCK
It is never duck season in Daffy Duck’s territory! In the new and scenic High Sierra-inspired zone, Daffy calls the shots and here Taz’s Trucking Company will become Daffy’s Forest Four-Wheelers, where forest ranger Daffy Duck will invite young junior rangers to hop aboard their own jeeps and join him on patrol. Along the trail, fun and humorous character scenes, alongside informative signage, will emphasize the importance of conservation and safety while enjoying nature. Furthermore, the Looney Tunes Lodge will be renewed to resemble a cabin found in the High Sierra mountains and will receive all-new, wood-look foam flooring with an exaggerated wood grain.
“The new Looney Tunes Land will be a continuation of our mutually successful partnership with Warner Bros. that began more than 40 years ago and will continue to celebrate the characters of their beloved franchise,” said Raffi Kaprelyan, SVP and West Coast regional general manager for Six Flags. “We are counting down the days until we can invite families to experience the whimsy and fun of Looney Tunes in a way that is more immersive and exciting than ever before!”

Both Looney Tunes and each area’s theme will inform the narrative storytelling throughout. Each area will have its own color palette, fauna, landscaping, graphics, hardscaping (complete with character footprints in the concrete), railings, signage and more distinct experiences in each area.

The transformation of the family area into Looney Tunes Land is set to begin early January 2026 following the Holiday in the Park seasonal event. The process will be done in three phases with access to areas not undergoing construction open for amusement. Additional attraction enhancements and name changes will be shared ahead of opening. The introduction of Looney Tunes Land will coincide with the park’s 55th anniversary and is the second project in a multi-year focus on the park, which kicked off with the complete refurbishment and improvement of Hurricane Harbor Los Angeles in 2025.

GIVE THE GIFT OF UNLIMITED FUN
The best way to experience all the exciting changes coming to Looney Tunes Land is with a 2026 Gold Membership, which starts as low as $7.75/month (after $20 initiation fee). The family theme park also announced new space-themed land LEGO® Galaxy opening March 6, 2026!
    • Danielle Fishel, Dancing with the Stars alum known for her role as Topanga on Boy Meets World, illuminated the Resort’s LEGO® Christmas tree during a celebration that also delivered a $10,000 donation on her behalf to Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.
    • The Park announced its new land, LEGO® Galaxy, is opening March 6, 2026, part of Merlin Entertainments’ largest investment in LEGOLAND® Parks.
    • Holidays at LEGOLAND® California, presented by Hallmark Channel, run select days through Jan.4, 2026, featuring LEGO® builds, holiday-themed shows, and family-friendly experiences throughout the Resort.
CARLSBAD, CA (Dec. 1, 2025) – Stars truly aligned at LEGOLAND® California Resort as Dancing With the Stars alum Danielle Fishel illuminated the Resort’s iconic 35-foot LEGO® Christmas tree during the 23rd annual tree lighting ceremony. The celebration continued with another star-studded moment: the family-friendly theme park revealed its new land, LEGO® Galaxy, will open March 6, 2026, offering guests intergalactic experiences, three epic rides, and out-of-this-world LEGO fun for all ages.

Built from more than 366,000 LEGO and DUPLO® bricks and crafted over the course of 3,000 hours by Master Model Builders, the larger-than-life tree sparkled with giant ornaments, candy canes, stars, and candles as fireworks lit up the Carlsbad sky. In the spirit of giving, LEGOLAND California presented a $10,000 donation to Children’s Hospital Los Angeles on Fishel’s behalf. Fishel - best known for her role as Topanga on Boy Meets World, her competitive dancing on the most recent season of Dancing with the Stars, and her self-proclaimed status as a LEGO architect—helped bring holiday magic to life at the Resort.

The festivities reached a galactic level when the Park unveiled the opening date for its most ambitious expansion yet, LEGO Galaxy. This new land, three years in the making, will have three cosmic rides, a junior astronaut training zone in a dedicated toddler play area, and galactic grub spots where guests can refuel with out-of-this world food and beverages. The main attraction, Galacticoaster, is the Park’s first new coaster in 20 years, and is designed around the LEGO universe using space themes from LEGO past, present and future. Guests will be able to digitally customize their spacecrafts, using technology and their imagination, selecting their own tail, nose, wings, and special elements for each spacecraft. Overall, there are 625 different combinations guests can experience when they ride.

"It was amazing to be among the stars today as Danielle illuminated our LEGO Christmas tree and even Space Creature made an appearance for the first time to our guests," said President of LEGOLAND California Resort Kurt Stocks. "Amid the holiday cheer, we were ‘over the moon’ to unveil details about our new land, LEGO Galaxy, which is part of Merlin Entertainments’ largest investment in the LEGOLAND Parks. It’s inspired by the very first LEGO space sets from the 1970s and celebrates the imagination that has captivated generations. We can’t wait for March, when new and longtime fans get to experience the nostalgia of the past, the creativity of today, and the adventures yet to come."

To prepare for launch, Merlin Entertainments has announced a nationwide search for Junior Galaxy Explorers, where kids can build their own LEGO spacecraft for a chance to be among the first to ride the Galacticoaster when LEGO Galaxy opens. The first competition kicks off in Miami on Dec. 13 and comes to California in January.

The annual tree lighting ceremony is part of the Park's winter celebration, Holidays at LEGOLAND California, presented by Hallmark Channel, that runs on select days until January 4. Guests can enjoy falling “snow,” twinkling lights, seasonal shows, and a new holiday-themed ride, all included with general Park admission and select annual passes. Holiday favorites return, including Elves Frode & Ivy, LEGO Santa with his 17-foot sleigh, and character “elfies” with LEGO Gingerbread Man, LEGO Snowman, and more. The event also includes festive treats and holiday-themed LEGO experiences like the Elf Hat Scavenger Hunt. Families can rock around the iconic 35-foot LEGO Christmas tree to seasonal tunes, enjoy fireworks on select nights, and ring in the New Year at the annual Kids’ New Year’s Eve party. “Midnight” comes early for families, who can celebrate together without missing bedtime while enjoying live entertainment, dazzling fireworks, and 3D viewing glasses that turn the display into exploding LEGO bricks.

Universal Studios Hollywood Update - Fast and Furious Hollywood Drift Testing and the arrival of the Holidays

This past weekend we headed out to Universal Studios Hollywood mainly to get some pictures and video of Fast and Furious Hollywood Drift testing, but also to take a look at the holiday preparations at the park.

The Holidays at the park begin today which may seem odd for them to start on a Monday, but many people take off Thanksgiving week so it actually makes a lot of sense. You can see all of the details for the holiday season activities here!

We'll be checking it out during the AP night next week!

Let's head in and check out the park!

Fast and Furious Hollywood Drift Testing!

    Picture

Testing has actually been going on for a couple of weeks now, but this was the first time we were able to get to the park to check it out.

    Picture

I think this will have the best views of any coaster in the United States. The only one I can think of that may come close is Wildfire at Silver Dollar City.

    Picture

I know some people will claim it's Millennium Force, but most of those views are via drone, etc. I'm talking about views from inside the park. =)

    Picture

Hopefully something on the backside of the sound walls?

I saw it test 3 times and then decided to move down to get footage from this angle. And stood here for an hour with no testing before I moved on. I always forget what a "hurry up and wait" game coaster testing is.

    Picture

Believe it or not, the park now has Fast and Furious Merchandise!!!

    Picture

Still no "Hollywood Drift" merchandise. But it's definitely coming.

    Universal Holidays

    Picture

Let's check out some of the Holiday fun. The tree in front of Universal Cinema is themed to Wicked: For Good, which makes perfect sense.

    Picture

It's not the holidays in LA until King Kong is wearing his Santa hat.

    Picture

The Studio Store is decked out for the holidays.

    Picture
    Picture

Just chilling with my dude ...

    Picture

There is a new Pass Member magnet. Love this one! Be sure to pick yours up.

    Picture

I am not a spirit jersey person at all, that may be changing. I think I need this.

    Picture

    The back!

Check out some more holiday merchandise below. There's actually a lot of really cool and new stuff this year!

Click any image below to see a full size version

    Random Stuff

    Picture

Five Nights at Freddy's Pizza is still available on the lower lot. Still say this is coming back for FanFest Nights.

    Picture

    Lots of new Wicked merch!

    Picture

Tried out Slice House for the first time

    Picture
    Picture

Honestly, it was just okay. It may have been better had I actually gotten what I ordered. I didn't feel like going back in and telling them.

    Picture

Raising Cane's is almost done and is apparently scheduled to open on December 11th.

    Picture
    Picture

And finally, work is continuing on the new security area as well. I know I've said this before, but I'm still curious how the logistics of this are going to work.
