We'll start off outside the park because, well, that's really place you can see the ride. =)

As you can see, lots of supports have been added to the last turnaround. 

Supports for the Green Track that will go under the Blue Track's Zero G roll. 

Moving over to the Top Gun Stall

When we arrived they were adding some supports. 

Hey Guys!!! 

Lots of work being done on the lift hill mechanics. 

As well as wood replacement on the first turnaround. 

As we were leaving they were installing some of the green track for the top gun stall. Click any of the pictures below to see a larger version. 

Really like the colors on the theater. For the first time in, well, ever actually looking forward to a show in here. 

I'm guessing some people have been asking about Scream? So the park is letting them know that it will reopen as part of the new Screampunk District. Hopefully with a new logo and tagline? =)

Elsewhere in the park, Superman's launch seemed MUCH quieter than I've ever heard it before. Could just be me, but hopefully they have found a way to mute it a bit. 

Tidal Wave is back to running 2 boats. 

Goliath has some new re-theme for a video game (I think?). Looks cool whatever it is. 

Speaking of Goliath, as first reported by The Coaster Guy, Goliath's Lift Hill Chain broke on Saturday night. As of right now we have no idea how long the ride will be down for. We'll update as soon as we know anything. 

Some water is back here, but ewww. Hopefully this will be dealt with. 

There were lots of geese hanging out at the park. 

Jet Stream has received a REALLY nice repaint. Looks fantastic. 

Let the rumors begin. =)

The 2nd train was sitting on the transfer track, no indications of any kind of ad-wrap or any kind of work being done on it. 

Full Throttle Stage is coming back. 

Nice that they are keeping up with the paint around Full Throttle. 

Outside the park, looks like Lost Temple Rapids is getting some work done. 

The new wheelchair ramps are done. 

Lastly, they were doing some work on one of the cell towers near the park. Gotta be honest, I'm not sure if this is new or not. I've personally never had a problem with reception in the park, but better reception is always a good thing. 

Alright, that's going to wrap it up for today. We'll be keeping an eye on construction through the week and if there's a lot going on we'll try and get up to the park towards the end of the week.

Before we get started, the other day we joked with Knott's that we'd LOVE it if the FunBun theme song would be released as a Ring Tone. Well, never ones to disappoint, they put it up in a DropBox yesterday and tweeted it out. So be sure to download it if you want some FunBun love every time your phone rings.

We'll start off with Iron Reef, which, as you'll see the old Beary Tales/KOD building is getting a huge facelift. 

These are supports for the roof which the awesome @ParkandCons tweeted pictures of out yesterday.

Some cool chalk artwork is out in the boardwalk. They even tell you where to stand to get the best picture. But we don't play by the rules. =)

Elsewhere in the Boardwalk the water is drained as it's getting ready to be re-painted. It seems to have faded very quickly.

The FastLane queue is also open on the ride. 

There's an awesome new mural in Virginia's but there were a LOT of people checking it out. We'll try to get some nice pictures on a less busy day.

This winter has hammered us with snow, frozen us with historically low tempuratures and flattened many a car tire with endless roads of vengeful potholes - but at 2245 Route 110, things were heating up all winter long. With the framework of the new roller coaster Turbulence complete, the ride is set to open later this Spring. 

While Turbulence's construction may seem complete to the untrained eye, coaster junkies and amusement park fans know that once the lase piece of steel track is in place, countless hours of testing must be completed before the ride can officially open. Additionally, the coaster must be appropriately landscaped before it can be ready for the public to experience. Therefore, there is not a known opening date for this coaster as of yet, in fact, the only thing one can be sure of is that this coaster will certainly not disappoint thrill seekers. As Long Island's only spinning coaster, riders will be able to experience a unique ride each time they travel along the neon green tracks. 

The yellow and green behemoth roller coaster has drastically altered the landscape of this iconic park as seen by guests over Adventureland's opening weekend. Turbulence is the first custom Mack Rides roller coaster in the 53 year old land mark park, and it's the tallest and fastest coaster to ever reside in the Farmingdale destination. The German roller coaster designer, Mack Rides is considered one of the most prestigious coaster designers on the globe. 

Should you be daring enough to brave Turbulence's first official ride, Adventureland's Helping Hands Foundation is hosting the First Ride for a Cause contest. Participants can purchase $5 chances in the form of a donation to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) or Nassau Soffolk Services for Autism (NSSA) for a chance to be first on this ground-breaking thrill ride. Although you must wait to find out when this coaster will officially open, you can enter to be one of the fist to ride it. Make Long Island History by being one of the fist to experience Turbulence.

The first thing you'll see when opening the app for the first time is a slideshow of all of the app capabilities including the park map, ride details, calendar and car finder, which will definitely come in handy. 

Once you open the app you'll see some ad's for things like the dining plan, link to get tickets, day planner and more. 

You can also plan out your day and go straight to the park map which is divided nicely. 

You can sort by type of attraction or activity you'd like to do (family rides, shopping, restrooms, coasters, shows, water rides, etc). Or you can display all attractions as shown on the right picture below. 

Access the Knott's Newsfeed which appears to be their Twitter Feed, but I don't think it's all of their tweets. 
On the right is the Friend Finder where you can get a Pin and send it to your friends and they can add you so you can find each other in the park. For us, maybe we'll have to do some kind of "find us" hunt next time we're at the park and you can all play online. =)

You can also access the parks Facebook page as well as create a Knott's Berry Farm postcard. Maybe we'll do a full Postcard update sometime. 

Lastly, you can select Rides, Shows or Dining from the top and they are also divided by type. 

Once you've found the ride or attraction you wish to see next, click on the map icon and it will open it up in Google Maps. Not sure if Apple devices use Apple Maps, but I'm guessing it just goes to the map app you've chosen as default. Who wants to use Apple Maps anyway. =)
