Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Orlando Resort Pay Tribute to Legendary Heavy Metal Musician, Ozzy Osbourne, in All-Original Halloween Horror Nights Haunted Houses

Universal City, Calif., Orlando, Fla. (July 29, 2026) – Universal Studios’ Halloween Horror Nights pays tribute to pioneer heavy metal icon Ozzy Osbourne in the all-original haunted houses, “Ozzy Osbourne: Prince of Darkness,” inspired by his prolific solo career. Guests can anticipate a wild ride as they climb aboard the Crazy Train for a terrifying trip through his disturbing world of rock and roll, beginning Friday, August 28 at Universal Orlando Resort and Thursday, September 3 at Universal Studios Hollywood.

Developed as a living horror movie through the lens of Halloween Horror Nights, this non-traditional memorial to Ozzy Osbourne will span 45 years, transporting guests on a twisted journey though the artist’s outrageous and eccentric solo career in unique experiences across both coasts.

Music from Ozzy Osbourne’s solo albums will guide guests through “Ozzy Osbourne: Prince of Darkness,” including The Blizzard of Ozz (1980), Diary of a Madman (1981), Bark at the Moon (1983), No More Tears (1991), Scream (2010) and Ordinary Man (2020).

"Ozzy never stopped pushing boundaries, and he loved anything that gave fans a new way to experience his music and the worlds he created," Sharon and Jack Osbourne jointly stated. "Halloween Horror Nights has done an incredible job bringing that spirit to life. Walking through these haunted houses, you'll recognize so many moments inspired by his music and imagination. It's a wonderful tribute to Ozzy, and we hope fans have as much fun experiencing it as he would have had seeing it come together."

At Universal Studios Hollywood, the haunted house transports fans to where it all began, in Birmingham, England, home to John Michael “Ozzy” Osbourne. Starting with “Crazy Train,” Ozzy Osbourne’s most famous song, guests will travel through time from his early childhood to the Osbourne Asylum, inspired by his iconic album Diary of a Madman. As they weave through the decades, the unique iterations of Ozzy’s persona will come to life, from Madman Ozzy and Werewolf Ozzy to the Prince of Darkness, the moniker he earned in the 1970s.

“Ozzy Osbourne didn't just help define heavy metal—he created a cultural phenomenon that has influenced generations of music, art and horror,” said John Murdy, Executive Producer of Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood. “We previously had the privilege of collaborating with Ozzy and Black Sabbath, and this new haunted house is an opportunity to honor his extraordinary solo career. Inspired by all 13 of his albums, guests will journey through the dark, surreal worlds that fueled his music and cemented his legacy as the one and only Prince of Darkness.”
    Picture
At Universal Orlando, Halloween Horror Nights guests will venture through ancient ruins and foreboding dungeons before boarding the “Crazy Train” for a twisted ride into a realm inspired by the covers of his fan-favorite albums, Diary of a Madman, Bark at the Moon, The Ultimate Sin and Black Rain. Rules by the Prince of Darkness, this fantastical world draws from the heavier sound and sinister imagery that defined the later years of Ozzy’s career, transforming that creative evolution into a horrific journey through his unmistakably twisted imagination.

“We are honored to collaborate with the Osbourne family to create a unique haunted house that celebrates the legacy of Ozzy Osbourne,” said Mike Aiello, Senior Director of Entertainment Creative Development at Universal Orlando Resort. “It was important for us to create an authentic experience that brings Ozzy's creativity and personality to life in an eerily immersive new way. Fans will discover so many meaningful details, including a few Easter Eggs, as they navigate memorable dark and twisted moments inspired by his iconic musical career.”

New limited-release merchandise inspired by the “Ozzy Osbourne: Prince of Darkness” haunted houses, including a T-shirt and an Ozzy acrylic figure which can be added to the separately sold Infernal Carnival collectible display, are now available at Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood and will launch tomorrow, Thursday, July 30 at 9am PST on shopUniversal.com.

Halloween Horror Nights runs select nights at Universal Orlando Resort, beginning Friday, August 28 through Sunday, November 1, and at Universal Studios Hollywood from Thursday, September 3 through Sunday, November 1. Event tickets for both theme parks are on sale now, including the popular Frequent Fear Pass options that will allow guests to experience the horror again and again. Leading the way is Coral Craze, the West Coast's first triple Family FlyingSAUCER attraction. Designed for up to five riders per raft, Coral Craze will launch families into a high-speed adventure that feel as if riders are on a world-class ski course, which the design was inspired by the manufacturer's skiing heritage. The attraction's signature FlyingSAUCER element will feature steeply banked turns that accelerate riders through sweeping, gravity-defying maneuvers, creating a thrilling sensation unlike any other water slide experience.

Just on the other side of the raft conveyor, guests will discover Kelp Kraze, North America's first double and the West Coast's only Family HIVE attraction. This immersive five-person, family raft ride will send riders twisting through a revolutionary series of tight turns and spiraling helix elements designed to create the feeling that the slide itself is revolving around them. As rafts race along the outer walls, riders will experience exhilarating G-forces while enjoying panoramic views through the attraction's translucent walls, offering a one-of-a-kind perspective of the park below. Kelp Kraze will also be the longest Family HIVE ride in the United States.

"Coral Craze and Kelp Kraze represent the next wave of innovation for Knott's Soak City," said Raffi Kaprelyan, park president of Knott's Berry Farm. "These exciting new attractions combine the thrills our guests crave with the shared experiences families love. We are thrilled to celebrate National Waterpark Day by announcing two of the industry's most innovative slide experiences are headed to Soak City, giving guests new ways to ride, splash and make memories together."

From soaring through high-speed turns on Coral Craze to spiraling through the immersive twists of Kelp Kraze, the new attractions will transform the heart of Soak City into a dynamic destination for guests seeking their next unforgettable summer adventure.

"The most successful projects come from strong partnerships, and that's exactly what we've had with Six Flags and the Knott's Soak City team. Our strategic collaboration means bringing two innovative and high-capacity family attractions to the park, and we can't wait to see guests enjoying them when they open in 2027, and for decades to come,"  said Steve Avery, senior vice president of business development of ProSlide.
The addition of Coral Craze and Kelp Kraze continues Knott's Soak City's investment in bringing new experiences to the park while building on its reputation as one of Southern California's premier waterpark destinations. More details, including the opening date, will be announced in the months ahead at https://www.sixflags.com/knotts and on Knott's Berry Farm's social media channels.

As Southern California continues to warm up, Soak City remains the perfect place to cool off, with the waterpark open select days through September 7. Guests can make the most of the remaining season with a Gold Season Pass or Gold Membership. Six Flags Great Adventure unveils BAKUNAWA, the world's tallest and fastest spinning launch coaster

Signature roller coaster of The Boardwalk headlines the park's continued evolution as 2027 Season Passes officially go on sale
JACKSON, N.J. — July 28, 2026 -- Six Flags Great Adventure today unveiled BAKUNAWA, the world's tallest and fastest spinning launch coaster. Debuting in 2027, it will serve as the signature attraction of the park's transformed Boardwalk area.

Inspired by the lore of Bakunawa, the legendary sea serpent of Philippine mythology, BAKUNAWA blends cutting-edge engineering with immersive thematic design to deliver an experience unlike anything else in the world.

Standing 382 feet tall, BAKUNAWA joins an elite class of giga coasters, ranking among the five tallest roller coasters in the world while reaching speeds of 100 mph. Guests will board the world’s first free-spinning, floorless coaster trains that rotate naturally throughout the ride, ensuring no two experiences are exactly alike.
    A Ride Unlike Any Other

Every ride aboard BAKUNAWA is different. The two-minute, 17-second journey begins with the first of three linear synchronous motor launches taking the train from 0 to 60 mph before climbing high above The Boardwalk.

Midway through the experience, riders encounter the second (and world's first) upside-down launch, accelerating from 60 to 80 mph while completely inverted before the third and final launch propels the train to 100 mph. At the top of the massive tower, the train enters a spiral into a 180-degree bank, giving riders unprecedented views of Six Flags Great Adventure below and endless sky above.

Each of the two, 20-passenger trains surfaces from the depths and speeds through the 3,163-foot course with its free-spinning, floorless vehicles rotating independently, creating a unique combination of spins, views and sensations every cycle. Riders must be at least 48” tall to ride BAKUNAWA.
    Six World Records

    • World's fastest spinning coaster (100 mph)
    • World's tallest spinning coaster (382 feet)
    • World's fastest inversion (80 mph)
    • World's longest stall inversion
    • World's first floorless spinning coaster
    • World's first upside-down launch

"Over the past year, we've made meaningful investments across our resort that continue to transform the guest experience," said Mike Fehnel, park president of Six Flags Great Adventure. "From Shoreline Pier and the continued evolution of The Boardwalk to enhancements at Wild Safari, Hurricane Harbor New Jersey and Savannah Sunset Resort, every transformation is part of a long-term vision to strengthen Six Flags Great Adventure as the Northeast's premier destination for thrills, entertainment and family experiences. BAKUNAWA is our next defining milestone—an attraction that demonstrates our commitment to innovation while giving guests another incredible reason to visit, stay longer and return throughout the year."
    The Boardwalk Comes to Life

BAKUNAWA is the latest milestone in the ongoing transformation of The Boardwalk, Six Flags Great Adventure's modern interpretation of an iconic New Jersey boardwalk.

Earlier this season, the park introduced
Shoreline Pier, expanding The Boardwalk with five new family attractions—Barrels O' Fun, Flying Scooters, Hypno Twister, Super Roundup and Wave Swinger—along with new gathering spaces and midway experiences designed to encourage guests to slow down, explore and spend more time together.

    As day turns to night,
Boardwalk Nights transforms the district into one of the park's most vibrant destinations. Live vocalists, energetic dancers, musicians, specialty performers and immersive entertainment fill The Boardwalk with the sights, sounds and excitement of a summer evening at the Jersey Shore, creating an atmosphere that gives guests reasons to stay well beyond their last ride.

The Boardwalk experience extends to its growing collection of food and beverage offerings, including Shoreline Fries & Dogs, Riptide Seafood Shack, FUN-nel House Funnel Cakes, Beach Bros. Beverage Co., Sea Gulps and Garden State Fresh Cut Fries, bringing together beloved boardwalk classics with fresh new favorites.

Be Among the First to Ride

Beginning today, guests can purchase a 2027 Gold Season Pass at the lowest price available this year and next. Benefits include unlimited visits, free parking, access to other Six Flags parks in the region, and admission to fan-favorite events such as Fright Fest and Holiday in the Park. Passholders will also be among the first to experience BAKUNAWA when it opens in 2027.

As Six Flags Great Adventure continues investing across The Boardwalk, Wild Safari, Hurricane Harbor New Jersey and Savannah Sunset Resort, BAKUNAWA stands as the next defining landmark attraction in the resort's future, creating even more reasons for families to discover, stay longer and return year after year.

Three Parks + A Resort. One Great Adventure.

The continued investment in The Boardwalk reflects a broader vision for Six Flags Great Adventure as a premier regional destination where every season offers something new to discover.

    Together, Six Flags Great Adventure,
Hurricane Harbor New Jersey, Wild Safari and Savannah Sunset Resort offer guests an unmatched collection of experiences in one location. Visitors can conquer world-class roller coasters, cool off at one of the region's premier water parks, encounter thousands of animals across more than 350 acres of Wild Safari and extend their adventure with an overnight stay at Savannah Sunset Resort.

The resort’s wide variety of offerings continues throughout the year with signature seasonal events including
DC™ Heroes and Villains Fest, the thrills and immersive entertainment of Fright Fest presented by SNICKERS®, and the return of Holiday in the Park, giving families new reasons to return again and again.

Universal Studios Hollywood Halloween Horror Nights Survival Guide 2026

Welcome to our yearly Survival Guide for Halloween Horror Nights Hollywood!

Putting this guide together since 2014 is one of our favorite things to get us all ready to have an amazing time at
Halloween Horror Nights Hollywood! We hope you enjoy the guide and it helps you to have a great night at HHN 2026!

Below you will find some of our tips for making the most out of your Halloween Horror Nights experience. Some do's and don'ts and most importantly, what should be your "plan of attack" for the night.

You can also check out the HHN site for more information on tickets, hours, etc.
    Picture
Note: For full transparency, our Survival Guide, as written, does require a bit of hustle at least at the beginning of the night. Unfortunately that's the nature of Halloween Horror Nights Hollywood.

If you want to complete all of the houses on any given night without express, you're going to have to rush a bit. As always, we build in time for breaks. This is why one of our suggestions is to get a frequent fear pass.
    Event Dates
    • September: 3-6, 10-13, 17-20, 25-27, 30
    • October: 1-4, 7-11, 14-18, 21-25, 28-31 (Halloween Night)
    • November:

Just like the past few years, the event will run Wednesday through Sunday beginning on September 30th. Wednesday Nights are a great night to visit.

    Survival Guide Video Overview

Video breakdown of our Survival Guide for those who prefer video content.
This goes into a bit more detail of our strategy.

    Tips

    • BUY YOUR TICKETS ONLINE!!! The event sells out. Tickets will not be available at the ticket booths. Make sure you print them or use your phone to get in the gates.
    • Get Express!!! We can't stress this enough. If your budget can swing it this is truly the best way to have an enjoyable and relaxing night at the event. Click here for Express Pass info and prices. Express passes do sell out so your best bet is to get them online.
      • After 11pm Express: Yes, there is an Express Pass that is only good after 11pm, and it's only sold at the event. If you got to the event late, or just want to make sure you experience everything, this is a pretty great deal. But be warned, this DOES sell out (we got the last 2 one night last year). So if you see the signs for the After 11pm Express, get them right away!
    • DON'T GO ON A FRIDAY OR SATURDAY NIGHT!!! If you cannot swing the cost of the Front of the Line Pass then you should try to go on a slower night. Sunday's are typically a good night to go, especially early in the event. Last year however, Thursday Nights were busier than we'd ever seen them.
    • DON'T BE LATE!!! You are paying a LOT of $$ to go to HHN. Don't show up at 9:00pm and expect to do everything or expect there to be no lines. The event starts at 7:00pm, you should be lined up by 6:00pm AT THE LATEST. Earlier on Friday and Saturday nights.
      • If you have the After 2:00pm pass, do not show up at 5:00pm. You're losing 3 hours of park time. If you are showing up at 5:00pm, just get the early entry. (Yes, we saw people arriving after 5:00pm with their after 2:00pm pass).
    • USE EARLY ENTRY!!! This is the only way to get into the event early. Early Entry begins at 5:30.
      • Early Entry is $20- $30 depending on the night. You can find info and prices here
        • Note: Universal Studios Hollywood Passholders will also need to purchase an early entry ticket for early Entry!
    • IGNORE THE RIDES!!! (Unless you have a Front of the Line Pass). You are there for Halloween Horror Nights. You can come back on most days and ride Mummy, The Simpsons or Transformers: 3D all you want. Especially if you have an Annual Pass. Ride lines are typically longer during HHN than they are during the day.
      • If you have visitors from out of town, consider the After 2pm Day/Night Pass so you can ride during the day and get scared at night. These passes are available on the HHN site when you buy tickets.
    • New for 2026! Super Nintendo World will be open during HHN. If you have not experienced Super Nintendo World yet you have our permission to spend some time in the Mushroom Kingdom.
    • After 2:00pm Day/Night Pass with EXPRESS is an exceptionally good value. Not only does this pass give you Express access to all attractions and shows from 2:00pm to 5:00pm it ALSO gives you access to all Halloween Horror Nights Houses during HHN AND all of the attractions that are open during HHN. So you can double dip your favorites!
    • Get the App!! The Universal Studios Hollywood app is great, even better during HHN. It will allow you to see what has long waits and what you can come back to later in favor of something not so long.
    • WEAR COMFORTABLE SHOES!!! This should pretty much be a no brainer but you'd be surprised what we've seen some people wearing. You will be walking A LOT. Taking escalators up and down to the lower lot. Do yourself a favor and be comfortable.
    • Avoid the busiest nights: HHN is busy every night, some nights are "less busy". Assume that any night not included with the regular Frequent Fear Pass to be the busiest nights. These would be October 3, 9, 10, 16, 17, 23, 24.
    • Get a Frequent Fear Pass: This really is the best way to see all of Halloween Horror Nights, and not feel that you have to rush through to get everything done in one night. We've found that we really do enjoy going on multiple nights, doing a few houses, and just hanging out and enjoying the event.

    RECOMMENDED EARLY ENTRY HOUSE ORDER:
STRANGER THINGS 5 AND OZZY OSBOURNE: PRINCE OF DARKNESS FIRST

While we don't know what houses will be open for early entry officially, based on last year the lower lot houses will open at varying times starting with Stranger Things 5, which we still think will be one of the more popular houses for 2026 along with Ozzy Osbourne: Prince of Darkness.

This rundown of recommended houses is if Stranger Things 5 and Ozzy Osbourne: Prince of Darkness are your priority houses.

If Hellraiser, Evil Dead Burn and Sinners are your priority houses, we have a recommended
    early entry house order below.
    Picture

If you have a daytime ticket or an Annual Pass and are already in the park, you can get your early entry wristband starting at 3:00 at the front entry area or near Universal Plaza. If you have the After 2:00 ticket they will give you your early entry wristband when you enter the park.

Front of the Line tip: If lines are short when you get to the a particular attraction DO NOT use your Front of the Line Pass. Go through once in the stand-by line and then use your Front of the Line later in the evening. This way you get two trips through each House. With no backlot this year, getting back to a favorite house will be rather easy.

    Lower Lot First

As soon as you pick up your early entry wrist-band head down to the Lower Lot. If you're down there early enough chill and grab a snack or ride Jurassic World/Mummy/Transformers while you wait for the Stranger Things Early Entry line to open. Single Rider is your friend!

Based on the press release, Jurassic World will not be open during HHN as they are using that queue for Dead, Deader, Deadest. We will update if this changes.
    Picture
Recommended Early Entry Order (with or without express):

Note: Times are based on 2025 early entry times (subject to change after opening night)

    1. Stranger Things 5 - Early Entry Begins at 5:00pm
    2. Killer Klowns From Outer Space - Early Entry Begins at 5:45pm
A lot of people say they're over Stranger Things 5 but for it's final run it will easily be one of the most popular houses this year for Halloween Horror Nights. So if this is a priority for you, make sure you get here early.
    Picture
    3. Ozzy Osborne: Prince of Darkness  - Early Entry Begins at 6:30pm
    4. Dead, Deader, Deadest - Early Entry Begins at 6:45
    Picture

    Upper Lot and Terror Tram

If you've followed the guide so far you have already experienced 4 of the 8 houses. If you decide to skip one of the houses on the lower lot and make it to the upper lot prior to 7:00pm, get in line for Sinners. It will be one of the more popular houses of 2026.
    Picture
Recommended Order (with or without express):

    5. Sinners - Early Entry Begins at 6:30pm
    6. Killceañera - Early Entry Begins at 6:45pm
    Picture
After Sinners and Killceañera it's time to take a bit of a break while the general crowds shuffle in. Get some butterbeer ice cream in Hogsmeade. Have dinner in Springfield or any of the eateries upstairs.

After your break, head over to the Terror Tram.
    7. Terror Tram - Early Entry Begins at 6:30pm
    Picture
Express Tip: If the line for the Terror Tram is relatively short, 30 minutes or less, you CAN go through the stand-by line and use your Front of the Line later. But remember, this experience generally takes 30-45 minutes from beginning to end and closes early, so you may not have time to do it twice.

    Curious George Lot

    Recommended Order (without express):

    8. Hellraiser - Early Entry Begins at 5:30pm
    9. Evil Dead Burn - Early Entry Begins at 5:30pm
    Picture

    RECOMMENDED EARLY ENTRY HOUSE ORDER:
HELLRAISER, EVIL DEAD BURN AND SINNERS FIRST

While we don't know what houses will be open for early entry officially, based on last year the Curious George Houses as well as Upper Lot houses will open at varying times starting with Hellraiser and Evil Dead Burn at 5:30pm with Sinners following at 6:30pm

This rundown of recommended houses is if Hellraiser, Evil Dead Burn and Sinners are your priority houses.

If Stranger Things 5 and Ozzy Osbourne: Prince of Darkness are your priority houses, we have a recommended early entry house order above.
    Picture

If you have a daytime ticket or an Annual Pass and are already in the park, you can get your early entry wristband starting at 3:00 at the front entry area or near Universal Plaza. If you have the After 2:00 ticket they will give you your early entry wristband when you enter the park.

    Curious George Lot First

As soon as you pick up your early entry wrist-band feel free to enjoy the upper lot attractions depending on what time it is. If it's after 4:30 we recommend getting in the early entry queue.
Recommended Early Entry Order (with or without express):

Note: Times are based on 2025 early entry times (subject to change after opening night)

    1. Hellraiser - Early Entry Begins at 5:30pm
    2. Evil Dead Burn - Early Entry Begins at 5:30pm
    Picture
Out of the two houses in the Curious George lot, Hellraiser will definitely be the more popular house. So make sure you get in line for this before Evil Dead Burn. If the crowds are all going to the Lower Lot, you may be able to do these houses more than once while you are back here.
Express Tip: If you have Express and don't mind the walk back to Curious George later in the night, by all means go ahead and do Standby for both and come back later in the evening and do them again. However, if you don't want to make that walk twice, go ahead and use your express during early entry.

    Upper Lot and Terror Tram

After going through Hellraiser and Evil Dead Burn, head back through Hogsmeade and to Sinners which should be opening for early entry at 6:30pm.
    Picture
Recommended Order (with or without express):

    3. Sinners - Early Entry Begins at 6:30pm
    4. Killceañera - Early Entry Begins at 6:45pm

If you are not doing Early Entry we suggest starting your night with Sinners on the Upper Lot. This will probably be one of the more popular houses at the event this year. Once you exit Sinners, the entrance for Killceañera will be just to your left.

    Chainsaw Chaseout

If you are brave enough, not tired enough, or want to experience a true Horror Nights Hollywood original, stay until the very end of the night and experience Chainsaw Chaseout. This is absolutely one of our favorite things every year, and we always make at least one late night trip to HHN to experience it (the benefits of having Frequent Fear).

Even if you're not staying for Chainsaw Chaseout, make sure you do some shopping, grab a t-shirt and hang out in the scare zones before heading out.

    Drive home safely!

Orlando, Fla., Universal City, Calif (July 21, 2026) – Evil Dead Burn, New Line Cinema’s latest film in the iconic Evil Dead franchise takes shape as the newest Halloween Horror Nights haunted house, beginning August 28 at Universal Orlando Resort and September 3 at Universal Studios Hollywood.

First introduced in 1981, Evil Dead has evolved from an independent cult classic to one of today’s most terrifying horror properties. Blending extreme gore with dark humor, the franchise consistently centers on the Book of the Dead, an ancient text that unleashes supernatural parasitic demons who possess and twist their victims into Deadites.

Inspired by the franchise’s latest installment, Evil Dead Burn, the haunted houses will take guests on a terrifying firsthand journey through the film’s most frightening moments that begin at the Price family’s secluded vacation home in the woods. The nightmare grows more and more fierce as guests venture through the haunted house, encountering ferocious Deadites around every turn before succumbing to the evil forces themselves.

Guests can continue to show their fandom for this year’s haunted house lineup with all-new limited-release merchandise inspired by the unstoppable terror of Evil Dead Burn. This collection includes a T-shirt and hat, along with its own acrylic figure designed for the infernal carnival collectible display. Guests can shop these items at both parks beginning Tuesday, July 21 and the next day at 9 a.m. PST on shopUniversal.com, with additional merchandise emerging later this year.

Starting today, Universal Orlando Resort guests can experience the terror again and again with the purchase of a Halloween Horror Nights Fear Pass, with this year’s options including the Rush of Fear, Frequent Fear, Frequent Fear Plus and Ultimate Frequent Fear Pass. Guests can also take advantage of the enhanced Scream Early add-on ticket, which gives guests admission to Universal Studios Florida starting at 2 p.m. with early access to select haunted houses before the event officially starts. Annual and Seasonal Passholders can save on select single-night August and September event tickets, and Premier Passholders receive one complimentary Halloween Horror Nights event admission (reservations required; subject to availability).

At Universal Studios Hollywood, guests can choose from a variety of ticket options, including General Admission, Universal Express, R.I.P. Tour, Day/Night, After 2 P.M. Day/Night and the Early Access Ticket that provides entry to select haunted houses beginning at 5:30 p.m. (subject to change).
