The Great American Revolution Turns 50 and Magic Mountain Park Update - May 11, 2026

Last Friday we were invited out to Six Flags Magic Mountain to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of The Great American Revolution or Revolution or New Revolution or Classic Revolution.

Whatever name you want to use, the legacy of this amazing coaster cannot be denied. At 50 years old it's still one of the best coasters in the park in our opinion.

In this update we've got some amazing videos for you to check out including an all new POV, reverse POV and a fantastic 8-minute video detailing the history of this historical coaster.

Below the videos we've got lots of pictures from Revolution and elsewhere around the park. We are starting to see some movement on the 2027 project and a lot of cosmetic upgrades around the park, which we are just as excited for.

The Great American Revolution Celebrates 50 years!

It was foggy on our drive to the park until we got up the hill which made for a beautiful morning

Good morning Revolution!

Let's head in and take a look at the updated queue which includes new signs ...

New Banners ...

Updated garden sign ...

Updated bridge sign ...

Even updated height requirement signs ...

There are also some fantastic display cases in the queue showing off original parts of the coaster

And of course merchandise along with America 250 merch (which I wish I was more excited about)

I think these are new? I like this one, but white shirt and theme parks don't mix LOL

Interesting that Goliath is the only other one they have. Guessing because it's not DC?

Park Update

Let's check out what's going on elsewhere in the park

There is finally movement on Project 2027

Lots of site markers and they were moving dirt all around

From this angle you can see just how big this area is

Bugs Bunny World is completely closed off for it's update

Whistlestop Park has gotten a fantastic update along with new planters, a garden walk and new concrete.

If this is a sign of things to come I'm all for it

This is the location of the former Percy's Railway/Goliath Jr./Clown Coaster

Just a really nice area. I'm guessing maybe character meet and greets at some point?

More of the Fast Lane machines are showing up around the park along with wait time indicators

Jet Stream is getting a rather extensive refurb which is great to see. With only 2 water rides at the park now it's important they stick around.

Lastly, the EV Chargers have been turned on. Another new EV company which means another new EV app. We'll check them out once they are actually in use.
