Beyond The Parks

Last week we finally made it out to the Los Angeles Haunted Hayride and a great return to the town of Midnight Falls. This years event is in a new location, but it seems much bigger this year.

The event has really outdone itself in creating the fictional town of Midnight Falls and creating a fantastic Halloween festival within that town. And even if you don't want to do the Hayride or the mazes, you can still go into the "town" to enjoy the townsfolks, the shows (featuring the amazing Monte Revolta) and of course lots of food to enjoy. We truly had a great time at this years event. Don't miss it! But get there early, parking in Griffith Park is always "fun".
Our first stop of the night was the Hayride itself. This seemed to be a bit shorter this year length-wise, but scene wise we think there were actually more. There's just more room for the event in this location and it serves the hayride very well.
Would love to drive through the hayride in this classic pickup!
We highly recommend the VIP, this can get completely full on weekends.
Lots of amazing show scenes!
And of course, clowns!
Some fun photo-ops sprinkled throughout the event
The event also features three mazes, Trick-Or-Treat, Dead End Diner and Midnight Mortuary
I think Dead End Diner was our favorite this year!
Trick-Or-Treat is always fun! Be sure to ring all the doorbells and say Trick-O-Treat!
And lastly, we have Midnight Mortuary where creatures throughout Midnight Falls have taken over a bit.
We really loved the event this year, and it's great to see the theme of the Hayride grow each and every year.
We hope it continues to expand for years to come!
