Beyond The Parks

Now that all of the theme park haunts in Southern California have made their 2026 debut it's time to start checking out some of the other local Halloween events happening around the Los Angeles Area.

This year we're starting off with the Los Angeles Haunted Hayride which in our opinion is better in 2026 than it's ever been in it's new location. They've really made strides making this new location home and it shows at the event from top to bottom.

Let's start off with Elvira's Trick or Treat Mayhem which debuted in 2025, but it was new to us this year!

I thought the maze was a LOT of fun and you get to walk through Elvira's 50 foot boobs. What's not to love about that no matter who you are.

The classic Hellbilly Halloween is back and is always so much fun.

The last maze at the LA Haunted Hayride 2026 is the all new "Fallen Angel". This might actually be my favorite thing the Haunted Hayride has ever done. It was just so much fun.

Of course, no visit to the LA Haunted Hayride would be complete without a ride on an actual hayride. Such a cool and unique experience right in the middle of Los Angeles.

Somehow the hayride seemed longer this year than in previous years. Maybe more stops? But overall it was very strong this year. And there are actual benches now!!

We did get to try the all-new Apple Cider and it was stellar. Would drink/eat again. Yes. That's a donut on top.

Unfortunately due to time constraints and being at the other end of the event we missed the Monte Revolta show this year. But we heard it was absolutely fantastic. Both Theme Park Duo and Horror Buzz have some fantastic videos of the show. Be sure you check them out!

Overall we think the Hayride is definitely worth your time this year. They also seem to have solved some of the issues around parking which is always nice. This is an event that is truly unique to the Southern California Haunt Scene and is worth checking out.
