 Last weekend was the kick-off of the 2017 Boysenberry Festival at Knott's Berry Farm. The expanded event this year has a lot of new boysenberry treats to try out as well as a lot of returning favorites. This event keeps getting better and better every year. Written by Gregg Condon Welcome to the 2017 Boysenberry Festival  Most of the great food is located in Ghost Town, which means lots more people enjoying the awesomeness that is Ghost Town than usual.   Catawampus won a blue ribbon!!  Moo  Let's look at some of the food. One of the new treats this year is Boysenberry Pizza. We have to be honest, we weren't sure what to expect from this, but it was SO good. Lots of things on this that you wouldn't think would work but they all totally do. Not sure if we could eat an entire pizza, but a slice is great.  Boysenberry Fry Bread. Another unexpected treat. Not a huge fan of Nutella but this really was great. Be sure to grab a lot of napkins though.  Boysenberry Corn Dog. Think more of a pancake than corn dog. Just a subtle taste of boysenberry but very tasty.  Boysenberry Ravioli. One of those things that once again you wouldn't think works, but it really does. Again, not sure if we could eat a full plate of it, but a few is great. While eating these we came up with a couple of ideas for next year:
 Speaking of the Short Ribs. One of our favorites from last year is back and was great again.  Another of our favorites the Boysenberry Panna Cotta. So tasty.  And of course, what would the Boysenberry Festival be without the Fun Bun?  Snoopy's Boysenberry Jam-Boree!!  Spring has sprung!!   We also got to try out the new VR Showdown in Ghost Town and we all had a blast.  Great waiting area   At only $6 per game it's well worth it.  How about a look at Sol Spin which looks to be almost done.   Well played Knott's ... well played.  Knott's also installed some metal detectors last week. They look as good as they can, it's a part of our every day life now so we might as well get used to it.   Lastly, a look at the new slides at Soak City. I liked the new and sensational boysenberry treats 2017. almost all the portion are full of entertainment and joy, especially the VR Showdown in Ghost Town and Soak City. Comments are closed.
