(December 2013) – With an estimated 400,000 people at risk of facing hunger every month in Orange County, 42% of whom are children, Knott’s Berry Farm has once again partnered with the Orange County Food Bank to help the community. This year marks Knott’s Berry Farm’s twelfth year coordinating the food drive that feeds thousands in the Orange County area. To adequately serve those in need, Knott’s Berry Farm invites guests to donate two or more canned food products at the theme park January 6 – January 31, 2014 in exchange for a $31.00 one day ticket to the park. This special discount saves 50 percent off of the full priced admission of $62.00at the Main Gate ticket booths.
The collected food will be used by the Orange County Food Bank to help meet the needs of Southern California families, and to provide needed donations beyond the traditional holiday period when the demand is great and food supply is low. Thanks to its guests, Knott’s Berry Farm has donated over 254 tons of food throughout the eleven years of partnership with the Orange County Food Bank.
