Guests can enjoy more than 60 craft beers from celebrated local and regional breweries, paired with a new menu of bold, BBQ-inspired dishes created from the kitchen of Executive Chef Zuric Ramirez. From savory smoked meats to sweet summer treats, this festival delivers a delicious twist to end summer with a sizzle. – that’s a great line!

Barbecue has long been an integral part of California’s culinary heritage, evoking the spirit of authentic family and friend-filled celebrations. At Bayside Brews and BBQ, guests are invited to indulge in an unbeatable mix of flavors and experiences while strolling between award-winning attractions and incredible animal presentations, making it the perfect end of summer outing for families and friends alike.

Nothing pairs with craft beer like bold, smoky BBQ! This year’s festival brings an all-new menu of barbecue favorites, loaded comfort foods, and sweet, beer-inspired treats—served fresh from food huts across the park at Waterfront and Wild Arctic.

At Wild Arctic, guests can explore a variety of food huts – from BBQ staples and a loaded potato bar, to bourbon-style BBQ. The BBQ hut features new items like the Santa Maria Tri-Tip Sandwich, topped with provolone and pickled onions and the new plant-based Jackfruit BBQ Sandwich with grilled pineapple jalapeno slaw. Guests can also dig into amazing comfort foods including piping hot mac and cheese with the option to add BBQ or Tri Tip. At the Polar Potatoes hut, choose from brisket, carnitas, to chili and cheese loaded baked potatoes. 

At Waterfront, guests can grab craveable bites perfect for on-the-go at the Bourbon Style BBQ hut. Guests can enjoy Bourbon BBQ Wings and Loaded Onion Rings piled with brisket, fried onions, and mustard caviar.

For those with a sweet tooth, a visit to the Boba Bar or Crepe Cabin at Wild Arctic is a must. Delicious treats include the Peach Bourbon Cobbler Crepe topped with streusel and bourbon whipped cream or the Banana Cream Pie Crepe – filled with banana pudding and Nilla Wafer crumble. Adults can cool off with unique beer floats, like the rich and creamy Peanut Butter Stout paired with vanilla bean ice cream.

National Roller Coaster Day is Saturday, August 16, and the Coaster Capital of San Diego is celebrating the thrill all weekend long with an unforgettable experience for adrenaline seekers. From August 16-17 guests can enjoy high-speed thrills, limited-time discounts, and a Coasters and Cocktails tour.
