VAUGHAN, ON (June 1, 2022) – Canada’s Wonderland has donated 5,000 tickets to 53 hospitals in south central Ontario as well as the Ontario Paramedic Association (OPA), as a gesture of gratitude to health care workers for ongoing efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We want to thank health care workers for all they’ve done and continue to do during this pandemic,” said Norm Pirtovshek, Canada’s Wonderland general manager. “We hope those who receive the tickets can enjoy a day of fun at the park with family, friends or colleagues.”

The tickets were distributed by Canada’s Wonderland to hospitals in the geographic area within the Greater Toronto Hamilton Area, as well as several municipalities beyond. Administration staff at the hospitals are managing the distribution of tickets to health care employees and the OPA is distributing the tickets among its members.

Darryl Wilton, OPA president, offered his appreciation for the gift and said paramedics will benefit from a day at the amusement park.

“The Ontario Paramedic Association would like to thank Canada’s Wonderland for supporting our members and their families as we continue to do our part to support the health care system and communities,” he said. “Canada’s Wonderland is exactly what our members need to unwind after putting in such incredible effort over the last several years.”
