Experience Mardi Gras at SeaWorld San Diego with ALL-NEW Live Entertainment, Flavorful Cuisine and Family-Friendly Festivities

SAN DIEGO, CA (January 21, 2025) – SeaWorld San Diego brings the excitement of Mardi Gras to Southern California in 2025 with its family-friendly take on the beloved New Orleans celebration. Beginning Saturday, January 25, this event draws inspiration from the vibrant tradition of carnival and lightens the hearts of both adults and children with all new live entertainment, colorful costumes and delectable Creole and Cajun dishes, including hearty jambalaya and irresistible beignets. Experience the French Quarter vibe, dance in the streets and savor the unique flavors and fun that only Mardi Gras can bring. SeaWorld Annual Pass Members and Fun Card holders can ‘laissez les bons temps rouler’ or ‘let the good times roll’ over and over, returning week after week to enjoy amazing cuisine, toe-tapping music and a festive party environment.

Guests will be part of the excitement at one of the few places in San Diego to celebrate Mardi Gras in true festive style. This event will run on Saturdays and Sundays, Jan. 25 – March 2, including Friday, Feb. 14 and Monday, Feb. 17. It is free to pass members and included with park admission.

For a limited time, SeaWorld is offering guests up to 40% off tickets and up to 20% off Annual Passes. Guests can also enjoy all-year access with a 2025 Fun Card, paying less than a single day’s admission. Annual Pass Members get unlimited visits, exclusive event access and no blockout dates. Plus, Pass Members are invited to be the first to celebrate Mardi Gras with an exclusive preview before the event kicks off. In Spring 2025, Pass Members will also have the opportunity to be the first to experience SeaWorld’s exciting new exhibit, Jewels of the Sea: The Jellyfish Experience, the first of its kind for SeaWorld parks and the newest immersive and interactive aquarium at the park.

All-New Mardi Gras Entertainment and Classic Festivities Await
  • ALL-NEW Mardi Gras Parade – Featuring colorful floats, No Bad New jazz band, singers, dancers, stilt walkers, jesters and more, this lively parade promises nothing but good vibes along the parade route. It’s a vibrant and energetic experience from start to finish.
  • ALL-NEW Live DJ & Fire Dance – The celebration heats up in Wild Arctic Plaza with a live DJ and a variety of festive food and drinks during the day. As the sun sets, experience the excitement of a nightly fire dance that’s sure to thrill and amaze.
  • Mardi Gras Atmospheric Entertainment – Let the good times roll with performances from stilt-walkers, comedy magicians, jesters and more as they take over SkyTower Lawn.
  • Live Music – Dance the day away to the lively sounds of the No Bad News jazz band, performing favorite New Orleans and Mardi Gras-themed tunes at SkyTower Lawn.
  • Mardi Gras Performers & Activities – Throughout the day near SkyTower stage, come see the talented SeaWorld performers as they show off their costumes and enjoy family-friendly activities.
  • Tunnel of Lights – For the ultimate insta-worthy moment, walk through a shimmering, Mardi Gras-music activated tunnel of over 5,000 colorful lights! Dancing is highly encouraged.
 
Taste of New Orleans
Mardi Gras isn’t complete without delicious New Orleans-style food and drinks! Guests will be able to enjoy the tastes of the South with all-new chef-curated specialty menu items created for the event. Highlights include:
  • ALL-NEW Flavorful Creations – Enjoy the new Fried Green Tomato Po Boy, Fried Shrimp Po Boy, Dirty Rice with Collard Greens, Crawfish Roll, Crab Cakes, Mardi Gras Cupcakes and more.
  • Returning Favorites – Don’t miss the return of the mouth-watering Chicken and Sausage Gumbo, Jambalaya, Muffuletta and the classic Beignets.
  • Signature Sips – Try out the new Blackberry Mule, Frozen Strawberry Daiquiri or the classic Hurricane and Mint Julep.
  • Mardi Gras Food & Beverage Sampler – Guests looking to try all these delicious, limited-time food options can purchase a Mardi Gras Food & Beverage Sampler. Guests can choose a 5-item sampler starting at only $40 or take it up a notch and with the 10-item sampler for $60. SeaWorld San Diego Pass Members also get the VIP treatment and can purchase 12 samples for the price of 10.
