Park Kicks Off Summer of Fun with Hurricane Harbor Opening and
Teases Upcoming Pride Celebration and Summer Fireworks
AUSTELL, Ga — May 22, 2023 — Six Flags Over Georgia — the Thrill Capital of the South, kicks off a summer of fun with the opening of its water park, Hurricane Harbor, on May 27. The water park is included with theme park admission and offers guests a chance to escape the summer heat with a 38,000 square foot wave pool, four thrilling water slides and a giant water playground. This summer the park is also introducing new events, like Pride Month Celebration in June and Summer Fireworks in June and July.
Pride Month Celebration
Six Flags Over Georgia is celebrating Pride in June with specialty decorations, photo opportunities, chalk art and limited time food all month long. The park is also hosting a Pride Party on Fridays and Saturdays, June 2 through 17, where guests can dance along to music with a live DJ and play games. Summer Fireworks Event
Watch as the night sky lights up over Six Flags Over Georgia with a dazzling firework show, select nights this summer. The park will offer a VIP fireworks package, including premium fireworks viewing, after-hours access to Hurricane Harbor, meal, and a party atmosphere complete with music and games. The fireworks show will continue for July 4th celebration on June 30, July 1 and July 4. ¡Viva La Fiesta! Extended Through June 11
Due to popular demand, the ¡Viva La Fiesta! festival has been extended for two additional weekends. Guests are invited to celebrate the food, music and culture of Latin America with limited time food offerings, premium tequilas and beers from Mexico, live music, games, and colorful fiesta décor. ¡Viva La Fiesta takes! place at Six Flags Over Georgia from 12:00pm – 6:00pm, Saturdays and Sundays, now through June 11.
