Park Kicks Off Summer of Fun with Hurricane Harbor Opening and Teases Upcoming Pride Celebration and Summer Fireworks AUSTELL, Ga — May 22, 2023 — Six Flags Over Georgia — the Thrill Capital of the South, kicks off a summer of fun with the opening of its water park, Hurricane Harbor, on May 27. The water park is included with theme park admission and offers guests a chance to escape the summer heat with a 38,000 square foot wave pool, four thrilling water slides and a giant water playground. This summer the park is also introducing new events, like Pride Month Celebration in June and Summer Fireworks in June and July. Summer Fireworks Event Watch as the night sky lights up over Six Flags Over Georgia with a dazzling firework show, select nights this summer. The fireworks show will continue for July 4th celebration on June 30, July 1 and July 4.
