Iron Gwazi Hard Hat Tour at Busch Gardens Tampa

Picture
This morning we were invited out to Busch Gardens Tampa to hear the announcement for their newest coaster, and to get a behind the scenes look at Iron Gwazi.

So no fanfare, just pics of the news RMC masterpiece.

Enjoy.

Busch Gardens Tampa has something very exciting on the horizon for 2020!
Picture
It's Iron Gwazi, the newest and biggest RMC conversion!
Picture
Either these guys are trying to get an exclusive look at the construction, or they're working.
Picture
Clearly they're working.
Picture
We were treated to a behind the scenes hard hat tour of the construction site!
Picture
In case you needed help remembering who's building this beast.
Picture
This will be the tail end of the barrel roll that goes underneath the lift hill.
Picture
Almost all of the footers for Iron Gwazi are the original footers from Gwazi. Florida is a recycling state!
Picture
The crane of destiny.
Picture
This is the part where the train flies off the track and explodes like in Roller Coaster Tycoon.
Picture
A little close up coaster track porn.
Picture
More footers and more track waiting to be put into place.
Picture
Happy to see they'll be reusing the station "fly by" element from the original ride.
Picture
Looks as if most of the support structure is new.
Picture
This is still some original wood, and a very tight turn.
Picture
Can't wait to ride this thing!
Picture
The large gap in the structure there is where the lift hill will be.
Picture
Something completely illogical will happen here. Come out to Busch Gardens Tampa next spring for the new RMC hotness!
