SFMM Justice League Update #7

Picture
Today we've got another update from Six Flags Magic Mountain as they continue to work on Justice League for the Spring/Summer opening.

We'll also take a look at the Apolcalypse refurbishment to see how that's going.

Justice League, all closed up and definitely being worked on inside.

Absolutely LOVING the re-do of the food area. The colors are nice and subtle.

A look at the area around the ride, still a lot of work to be done.

For some reason they were testing Riddlers Revenge. Doesn't look like any of the re-painting has been done yet.

Still not sure what they are doing with Tidal Wave

Moving over to Apocalypse, the re-furb continues

After our last update we checked with the park and they indicated they were hoping to open up the ride for Easter Weekend

Looking at this we'd say that it's not going to open for this weekend, but we can cross our fingers.

Nice re-paint of the Screampunk District entry

That's about it for this update, now that the park is open for daily operations we'll try and get up for another update soon.

Hi, SFMM ride operator here. I learned there's an interesting reason why they are running Riddlers right now. Maintenance has to run each train about 500 times, running it through its paces before they have to repaint the track. Same thing happened for Revolution. Also, Riddlers is getting a new panel and computer system so they may have already installed it and are testing it out hopefully.

Makes total sense. Thanks James.

In regards to Tidal Wave, they are moving the entrance to the front midway area, as it will not be part of Metropolis.

I thought that maybe in addition to a new paint job, Riddler's Revenge would be getting the Vortex treatment (California's Great America). Standup coaster converted to floorless, then remove Scream! at some point for something new. Maybe that'll happen sometime in a year or five. Ya never know...

Also, I wonder really how long Tidal Wave is for this earth? It's 27 years old and hardly a big thrill anymore—especially with Riddler's Revenge towering over it. But SFMM needs water rides being that it's so hot out there. For the time being, they'll just leave it alone.

Nice to see the food area getting a much needed makeover. We'll see if they keep the same food or try anything new. You can get burgers and pizza anywhere in the park, but new food items would help to keep people in Metropolis a little longer.

If you knew me, you'd have a hard time believing that I have not yet been to SFMM this year. Just haven't had time. But I hope to change that ASAP. Thanks for the updates.
