We'll start off with the work going on with Project 2027. Work is definitely picking up. You can view our update video below as well.

You can see rebar starting to get placed in what are likely dug holes. Interesting that the steps/seats from the theater seem to be staying. It's quite possible it's needed support for the hill.

A look from the other side of the construction area. You currently have to go through Looney Tunes Land to get around the construction site.

While we predict this coaster will open in 2027, if El Niño hits like they are predicting it will, I'd hold off making travel plans to ride this "first of it's kind" coaster in the US.

The other project we're very excited about (maybe too excited) is what seems to be general park improvement dealing with the LONG overdue maintenance of the walkways around the park.

Here's a look at what a lot of the concrete looks like around the park right now.

On the left is what is new and was just completed last week.

The park was also pretty excited about this and posted a social media post last week showing off the new work. I'm not kidding that you could feel the difference on your feet between the old and new.

Fingers crossed that this is just the beginning. Because it's very much needed. Not just for the beautification of the park, but also for safety. I would guess work will pause on this project prior to Fright Fest and Holiday in the Park, but continue around the rest of the park in early 2027.

Definitely noticed some new'ish props in this area. With less scare zones they can move some props around. More on that below.

Twisted Colossus and Scream are both currently closed for refurbishment, but there are Fright Fest Props in the area so both should be open prior to Fright Fest starting.

A look at the new façade for Trick r' Treat, which is in the same location where SAW has been the past few years. Looking forward to this maze in a new location. It's been one of the better Fright Fest mazes the past few years.

There will be no maze where Trick r' Treat last year. In fact, in speaking with some of the Fright Fest Team the reduction of mazes and scare zones this year is intentional. They are hiring the same amount of talent for Fright Fest, just using them in fewer area's. So less area's but more talent. We think this is a great move. SFMM is entirely too big to have every corner of the park filled with scare zones.

Sadly we saw two groups of people playing with the props just on our quick walkthrough of the area. Please don't do that.

Devil's Triangle is being moved (or perhaps expanded) up the hill towards Viper.
