Universal Studios

It's Summer time everybody and that means it's the busy time for theme parks. That also means prep for Halloween events is going, well Fast and Furious, as they all technically start in summer now.

In this update we have a lot to show you for Super Nintendo World, Halloween Horror Nights, Toothsome and a few other random things around the park. Hope you enjoy!

It was a beautiful morning in the valley

Picture

Had a nice snack from the French Street Bistro. Taking a break to enjoy parks is definitely something I need to do more often. =)

Picture

Which meant great lightning for Super Nintendo World pictures!

Picture

Actually took the "good" camera for this update

Picture

Pulling back a bit, you can see just how Super Nintendo World fits into the lower lot

The biggest change since our last update is that you can now see Bowsers Castle!

And also, you can see the flag to the left of Bowsers castle on the top of the mountain.

Down at the warp pipe, it looks like they are finally starting to put the covering on the concrete here. You can see holes being dug in on the exposed part.

Anticipate seeing more of this covered up by our next update

Over on the Curious George mazes, lots of prep work still being done. The well that was here awhile back is now down on the NOPE sets in Falls Lake.

Picture

Not much work on the outside of the unannounced maze, rumored to be an original maze.

Halloween is coming together!

Here you can see that this is clearly the Myers house.

Inside the park, the location where Halloween usually is will be the Blumhouse maze this year.

Picture

They've really got it blocked off so don't expect to see much here before opening night. I will say, the area they are working in seems bigger than previous mazes here. Also, go see The Black Phone. It's great!

Outside of the Parisian Courtyard, one of the other unannounced mazes. This one is rumored to be La Llarona.

Picture

As you can see here (to the right of the picture) they are expanding the façade a bit, and there seems to be at least one room (or perhaps a pre-show) before you go into the actual courtyard area.

Picture

The Universal Monsters entrance continues to get set pieces added.

Picture

Some really cool Jaws mugs have shown up in the Universal Studios Store!

Picture

New Minion Popcorn Buckets as well!

Picture

Outside at CityWalk, Toothsome is coming along nicely. Lots of activity.

Alright everybody, that's going to wrap it up for this update. For those who are fans of the Special Effects show, it's coming back this coming week. Not sure if we'll make it out there to check it out since it's a holiday weekend, but we'll see.
