Walker Boot Camp at Universal Studios Hollywood with Greg Nicotero

Wednesday we were invited up to view the amazing Greg Nicotero from The Walking Dead conducting his "Walker Boot Camp" for the actors performing in The Walking Dead Attraction opening on July 4th.

Inside the globe theater 

They brought out two groups of the actors that have recently been cast in the maze

After a few instructions from Greg they were off

Everything the darkness touches is Greg's kingdom ... 

This is Nick, one of the long-time walkers on the show, all the way back to Episode 1 of the series. He was one of the walkers outside the tank with Rick in Atlanta ... what a dumbass (Rick, not the walker) 

After the boot camp there was some Q&A. Some of the highlights: 

• Ratio of actors to animatronics will be about 1/3 actors, 2/3 animatronics
• There are over 100 "Easter Eggs" in the attraction
  
• Attraction will have "Chicken Exits" but parents should take heed, it's very scary

Outside, we decided to take a look at The Walking Dead's entry ... the walkers have definitely been busy

If they needed these blinds ruined we've got 2 cats that could have easily done the job. =)

One VERY minor park update that has absolutely NOTHING to do with The Walking Dead (seriously, unless they are building a "Zoombies" attraction (look up the movie)). 

Very long and roundabout way of saying, The Secret Life of Pets is now being advertised in the park (the movie, not the rumored attraction)

Alright, that's going to wrap it up for this update, thanks again to Universal Studios Hollywood, John Murdy and Greg Nicotero for an amazing day and we can't wait to see the results of all the hard work they are putting into this attraction.
