Universal Orlando Resort Adds Three New Dates for Universal Nights, the Exclusive After-Hours Event Debuting this October at Universal Epic Universe

ORLANDO, Fla. (September 2, 2026) – Due to popular demand, Universal Orlando Resort has added three new dates for Universal Nights, giving guests even more opportunities to experience the exclusive after-hours event debuting at Universal Epic Universe this fall. The newly added event dates are Saturday, October 24, Friday, November 6 and Friday, November 20, joining the previously announced dates of Saturday, October 3 and Saturday, October 17. While tickets for October 17 have sold out, tickets for all other event dates are available for purchase.

This highly-anticipated, limited-capacity event invites guests to experience the thrills of all five amazing worlds at Epic Universe like never before as they enjoy nighttime access to the park from 9 p.m. to midnight – including attractions, entertainment, character interactions and more, as well as complimentary specialty snacks and beverages. Guests can arrive as early as 7 p.m. to enjoy extra time at the theme park before the event officially begins. Tickets start at $179.99 per person.

WINTER HAVEN, FL (August 31, 2026) — Mischief is brewing at LEGOLAND® Florida Resort as Brick or Treat returns beginning Sept. 5, transforming the Park into the ultimate LEGO® Halloween celebration.

On select dates through Oct. 31, families can trick-or-treat across the Park, meet LEGO Monster characters, watch live shows, build Halloween creations and experience interactive adventures from day to night—all included with general Park admission.

This year brings even more tricks, bricks, and treats, including the debut of the all-new Brick or Treat Street, a Halloween takeover of Galacticoaster, and new interactive experiences.

NEW! Knock, Play and Trick-or-Treat Down Brick or Treat Street
A classic Halloween tradition gets a mischievous LEGO® twist with the debut of Brick or Treat Street, an all-new immersive walkthrough neighborhood featuring six life-sized LEGO Monster homes.

Families can knock on each door and become part of the story through interactive effects, playful challenges and surprises. Explore Wacky Witch’s Cottage, witness a hilarious full-moon transformation at Wolf Guy’s Cabin, brave the creepy-crawly surprises inside Spider Lady’s Castle, wake the mighty Mummy in his Throne Room, venture into Plant Monster’s Greenhouse and help Scarecrow scare away a feathered friend at his Barn.

NEW! Galacticoaster Gets a Halloween Makeover
Calling all Cadets! Galacticoaster, LEGOLAND® Florida Resort’s newest indoor family coaster, is getting a seasonal upgrade with 356 new Halloween-themed LEGO® elements available for guests to customize their spacecraft before blast-off.

New options include a Monster Fighters-inspired design with a galactic twist, a classic roadster-style front end featuring six bone elements and a mischievous Jack-O-Lantern hood ornament. Guests can mix and match the seasonal elements before watching their custom spacecraft come to life during an out-of-this-world adventure through LEGO® Galaxy.

Monster-Sized Entertainment
The party continues with returning entertainment and LEGO Monster favorites. Families can show off their moves with the high-energy Zombie Cheer Crew, score an invitation to Lord Vampyre's exclusive V.I.M. Dance Party, rock out with the Jammin' Jacks and laugh along with The Great Monster Chase, a 4D movie adventure packed with thrilling effects and silly scares.

The Halloween fun doesn’t have to end when the Park closes. Halloween Costume Policy
All guests are welcome to dress up in Halloween costumes. Guests who are ages 13 and older may not wear full face coverings, costume masks, or hoods, and all costumes are subject to the normal dress code for the park. Face painting is not permitted on any guests unless it is done by park face painting artists.

During the fall season, Sesame Place invites guests to enjoy a full day of excitement with water attractions open through October. Universal City, California, August 31, 2026 – When “Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift” opens on Wednesday, September 16 at Universal Studios Hollywood, the theme park’s eagerly awaited first outdoor, high‑speed roller coaster will deliver an unprecedented surge of adrenaline and a new level of intensity to the destination, unlike anything experienced in the park’s decades‑long history.

With its striking visual design and state-of-the-art ride technology, this all-new roller coaster—the fastest in the Universal Destinations & Experiences portfolio—is set to redefine the thrill ride experience and further enrich Universal Studios Hollywood, renowned for creating world-class rides and attractions inspired by today’s most iconic entertainment properties.

Universal Pictures’ $7 billion Fast & Furious franchise, which celebrates its 25th anniversary this year, serves as the driving force behind Universal Studios Hollywood’s new, outdoor roller coaster, “Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift.” With speed, adrenaline and street racing at its core, the 11-film franchise is a natural fit for a coaster at a theme park where movie‑themed attractions already take center stage. An all-new film in the saga, Fast Forever, will race into theatres in March 2028.

The ride celebrates the Fast & Furious franchise and captures the spectacle, suspense and meticulous choreography created for the edge-of-your-seat driving sequences the films are renowned for, offering guests a chance to experience the energy and thrill of high-speed action for themselves.

Located on the Upper Lot of Universal Studios Hollywood, “Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift” is situated within an expansive red brick-garage-like structure. Two stationary, photo op prop car reproductions welcome guests just outside the ride as they make their way through the entry archway towards the queue.

In a technological first, a portion of the “Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift” ride track will race through a transparent encased section of the queue, building on the anticipation as guests wait to ride.

A unique dual-launching, split-ride track will alternate trains from dispatch to propel guests on an epic adventure that will take them over and under portions of the multilevel Starway escalator, through four spectacular launches, an exciting inverted dive loop, twisted pretzel loop and inverted stall, among others, at speeds of up to 72 MPH and a force of up to 3.6 Gs along 4,100 feet of elaborate aerial track constructed with sound-reduction technology while drifting at 360-degrees in their individual ride vehicles.

Thrill seekers will begin their journey lap-bar harnessed into one of four iconic Fast Saga ride vehicles—the Dodge Charger, Mazda RX-7, Nissan Skyline GT-R and the Toyota Supra—each modeled after the cars driven by favorite Fast characters in the film series. The arrival platform will be anchored by an all-original, large-scale mural created by world-renowned artist Tristan Eaton, which depicts the finale street racing action scene in the very first Fast film, 2001’s The Fast and the Furious, with a montage of the aerial-bound Dodge Charger and Toyota Supra vehicles racing against a speeding train. Another inspirational Tristan Eaton mural will be featured within the queue in tribute to the entire film franchise.

Equipped with a fully independent audio system, each ride vehicle will surround guests with true‑to‑type engine and sound effects unique to the car they are riding in. And, because each ride vehicle is fully rotational and independently programmed to drift in motion along each train, guests can enjoy four varying experiences depending on which vehicle they are seated.

With real estate at a premium at the Hollywood theme park destination, the visionaries at Universal Creative had the foresight to transform the hillside terrain into the backbone of the coaster, using its natural contours and vista as both the structural base and a defining element of the ride’s imaginative design. The end result delivers breathtaking panoramic views of the San Fernando Valley, the Universal Studio movie studio and the theme park.

Designed to advance the storyline while keeping guests entertained, the queue guides guests through an environment filled with recreated props from the Fast Saga films. Select displays will feature QR codes that guests can scan for additional behind‑the‑scenes insights and context about the displays. The QR code opens to Universal Studios’ fan engagement site, the “Backlot Club.” From there guests can either create a new account or login to their existing account to enjoy the behind-the-scenes information as it pertains to the various displays.

NOS System and Dodge Charger Engine, a recreation of the internal NOS operating system for the modified Fast & Furious ride vehicles in the films

Rollover Stunt Rig, a recreation of the rollover stunt rigging system used in the Fast & Furious films

Due to the dynamics of the roller coaster, guests will be required to place all belongings in complimentary lockers, located within the queue area. They will also be required to pass through metal detection before entering the ride platform to ensure all loose articles, including mobile phones, among other items, are placed securely in the lockers.

Six Flags Magic Mountain Update - August 31, 2026

Happy Monday everybody and welcome to our first update from Six Flags Magic Mountain in quite awhile. So we've got a lot to show you today.

Work is starting to pick up on the 2027 project (we are getting our announcement this Thursday!) and Fright Fest Preparation is picking up as well.

We've also got some great news for those of you who like general park upgrades, because Magic Mountain just started a pretty significant and LOOOOOOONNNNNNNG needed project.

And finally, I shared some thoughts on the X2 closure in our video update (there are chapters if you only want to view that part).

Project 2027

We'll start off with the work going on with Project 2027. Work is definitely picking up. You can view our update video below as well.

You can see rebar starting to get placed in what are likely dug holes. Interesting that the steps/seats from the theater seem to be staying. It's quite possible it's needed support for the hill.

A look from the other side of the construction area. You currently have to go through Looney Tunes Land to get around the construction site.

While we predict this coaster will open in 2027, if El Niño hits like they are predicting it will, I'd hold off making travel plans to ride this "first of it's kind" coaster in the US.

Park Improvement Projects

The other project we're very excited about (maybe too excited) is what seems to be general park improvement dealing with the LONG overdue maintenance of the walkways around the park.

Here's a look at what a lot of the concrete looks like around the park right now.

On the left is what is new and was just completed last week.

The park was also pretty excited about this and posted a social media post last week showing off the new work. I'm not kidding that you could feel the difference on your feet between the old and new.

Fingers crossed that this is just the beginning. Because it's very much needed. Not just for the beautification of the park, but also for safety. I would guess work will pause on this project prior to Fright Fest and Holiday in the Park, but continue around the rest of the park in early 2027.

Fright Fest

Fright Fest Prep is definitely happening and we couldn't be more excited.

What's up monkey butt ...

Definitely noticed some new'ish props in this area. With less scare zones they can move some props around. More on that below.

Twisted Colossus and Scream are both currently closed for refurbishment, but there are Fright Fest Props in the area so both should be open prior to Fright Fest starting.

A look at the new façade for Trick r' Treat, which is in the same location where SAW has been the past few years. Looking forward to this maze in a new location. It's been one of the better Fright Fest mazes the past few years.

There will be no maze where Trick r' Treat last year. In fact, in speaking with some of the Fright Fest Team the reduction of mazes and scare zones this year is intentional. They are hiring the same amount of talent for Fright Fest, just using them in fewer area's. So less area's but more talent. We think this is a great move. SFMM is entirely too big to have every corner of the park filled with scare zones.

Sadly we saw two groups of people playing with the props just on our quick walkthrough of the area. Please don't do that.

Devil's Triangle is being moved (or perhaps expanded) up the hill towards Viper.

ORLANDO, Fla. (Aug. 28, 2026) – Universal Orlando Resort’s Halloween Horror Nights 2026 kicks off tonight at Universal Studios Florida, marking its 35th anniversary with a killer new collection of 10 haunted houses, chilling scare zones and street experiences, sinfully delicious food and beverages, exclusive merchandise and immersive shopping experiences, and other haunting surprises. Guests can experience the terror for 49 select nights through November 1.

What began as a three-night event with one haunted house called “Fright Nights” in 1991 has evolved into the global phenomenon of Halloween Horror Nights, the World’s Premier Halloween Event. In honor of its 35th anniversary, this year’s lineup is one of the most expansive yet, blending some of the biggest names in horror and pop culture, twisted original tales, and notorious characters from Horror Nights past into a terrifying collection of unforgettable experiences. All of it unfolds within the Infernal Carnival of Nightmares, a decrepit, fear-fueled carnival overseen by Halloween Horror Nights icon Jack the Clown and his legendary rival, Dr. Oddfellow.

10 HORRIFYING NEW HAUNTED HOUSES
This year’s event will feature 10 new haunted houses inspired by iconic horror and pop culture heavy-hitters along with disturbing original stories crafted by Universal’s award-winning entertainment team. As guests brave this year’s lineup, they will:
enter the fifth and final season of Netflix’s “Stranger Things 5,” as the barrier between reality and the supernatural is collapsing to unleash an ominous darkness over the town of Hawkins
step back in time to the popular Club Juke from Warner Bros. Pictures “Sinners,” where a night of music and celebration turns to panic as a troupe of unrelenting vampires crash the opening night, threatening to violently curse guests in a brutal battle for survival
descend into the iconic Lament Configuration puzzle box and enter a dimension inhabited by the ritualistically torturous beings, the Cenobites, and their leader, the iconic Pinhead, in “Hellraiser,” based on the original horror trilogy
climb aboard the Crazy Train for a terrifying trip through Ozzy Osbourne’s disturbing world of rock and roll in “Ozzy Osbourne: Prince of Darkness,” as Halloween Horror Nights pays tribute to the pioneer heavy metal icon
take a terrifying firsthand journey through the most frightening moments of “Evil Dead Burn,” where they’ll encounter ferocious Deadites around every turn before succumbing to the evil forces themselves
come face-to-face with Halloween Horror Nights icons Jack the Clown and Dr. Oddfellow in “Jack & Oddfellow: Chaos & Control,” where their twisted rivalry unfolds in a battle between chaos and control that ultimately leads to the two adversaries joining forces
witness a terrifying encounter with an aggressive, unseen alien craft that has abducted a family and its livestock from a remote homestead…and now is plotting to tear everyone apart in “INVASION: Alien Abduction”
enter the twisted world of H.R. Bloodengutz as the fan-favorite creature feature host returns to WKNB Television Station for a final Halloween Special of gruesome proportions in “H.R. Bloodengutz Presents: A Halloween Fright-Tacular!”
navigate a post-apocalyptic wasteland where almost all life is nearly extinct, causing humans to feast on each other for survival in “MADLANDS: Caged Cannibals”
enter “Cybergoria,” a cold, dead world where humans have awakened from a cryo-sleep to find that the machines built to make them immortal and invincible have been harvesting human flesh and replacing with synthetic parts

TERRIFYING SCARE ZONES AND STREET EXPERIENCES
The terror spills onto the streets of Universal Studios Florida with four new, elaborately themed scare zones where guests face unimaginable horrors, such as:
“Downtown Clowntown,” where a troupe of maniacal clowns have taken over the New York area and converted it into Downtown Clowntown in honor of Jack. Guests will encounter a variety of clowns of different kinds and origins, including the Killer Klowns from Outer Space, Art the Clown, and returning Horror Nights characters Chance and Eddie Schmidt
Fortnitemares, where fans will enter Freaky Fields, a Halloween-inspired living battleground overcome with a threatening force. Throughout the scare zone, fans will encounter the Battle Bus along with familiar Fortnitemares characters – plus a few new additions exclusive to Halloween Horror Nights – as they work to escape and claim victory
“Infernal Carnival of Nightmares,” where Jack and Dr. Oddfellow invite guests to step right up and discover a sinister spectacle decades in the making featuring past event icons, including The Usher, The Storyteller and more, who have returned to wreak havoc
“Sideshow of Decay,” where Cindy Caine (daughter of legendary icon, The Caretaker), with the aid of Dr. Oddfellow, has opened a portal to resurrect decayed nightmares from the past and unleash them upon guests

The horror extends beyond the scare zones and into other areas of the park as the streets teem with even more lurking frights, including:
Mel’s Die-In: Zombies, where a hungry horde of zombie carhops have taken over Mel’s Die-In – and they’re ready to serve up guests on a platter
Club Horror, located in the streets of San Francisco, where the DJ is undead but the vibe is alive and well
Chainsaw Hordes roaming the streets of Universal Studios who prey upon unsuspecting guests
And for the first time ever, a creepy cute meet-and-greet with the infamous HamiKuma located inside the Five & Dime merchandise location

Stranger Things: Return to Hawkins, an all-new nighttime lagoon show honoring the legacy of Stranger Things that brings the global phenomenon to life in a spectacular new way. THE FOG EXTENDS BEYOND THE THEME PARK
Halloween Horror Nights’ fog creeps beyond the gates of Universal Studios Florida and throughout Universal Orlando Resort, transforming select hotels into an extension of the World’s Premier Halloween event. This year, guests can step into highly themed lounges across select hotels that transport guests into haunting environments. Plus, all hotels will offer specialty cocktail menus across their bars featuring wickedly crafted spirits, while select hotels will serve up late-night bites for guests to enjoy after a night of screams.
