    ●   Night-time rides on SeaWorld San Diego’s newest roller coaster Emperor along with fan-favorites Electric Eel and Journey to Atlantis
    ●    Halloween enthusiasts who can’t wait to scream their hearts out can purchase tickets at up to 55 percent off during the Monster Sale through August 21

SAN DIEGO, CA (August 3, 2022) – SeaWorld San Diego is increasing the howls, screams and shrieks with the return of Howl-O-Scream, the park’s separately ticketed nighttime Halloween event for mature audiences. San Diego’s largest Halloween nighttime event is back on select nights from September 16 through October 31 and is shaping up to be even more terrifying than its inaugural year. Howl-O-Scream will feature increased scares with ALL-NEW terrifying scare zones and horror-filled haunted houses to add to the returning and reimagined favorites from last year, plus an ALL-NEW spectacularly dark and heart-pounding entertaining live performance show, and a variety of paranormally delicious food and drink options. Guests who want to face their fears at Howl-O-Scream can purchase tickets at up to 55 percent off during the Monster Sale through August 21.

Howl-O-Scream attendees can expect the unexpected with increased offerings and several ALL-NEW attractions coming to this year’s haunt, along with terrifying fan favorites from last year.

MORE Haunted HousesThere’s no turning back as guests brave dark passageways and round dimly lit corners, hoping they can avoid what’s lurking in the rooms, hallways, and paths ahead. The legends are true, the fear is real, and the only way out is to embrace the fear is to walk through all five haunted houses. Trembling through the original, yet reimagined houses from the inaugural year of fear, fans will quickly have a flashback of the nightmares caused from Nightmare Experiment and the medical experiments gone wrong, the sound of slicing from Simon the Butch and his crew at Simon’s Slaughterhouse, and the slew of spirits and mortals at Death Water Bayou. The second year of the event adds two ALL-NEW haunted houses to the list for thrill seekers to choose from and hints at hiding from outsiders from beyond and coming face-to-face with freakish and creepy fools.

NEW Scare ZonesWith six scare zones throughout the park there is even less room to hide. Immersive terror is at every turn and guests should stay alert and be prepared for anything with the uncertainty of what’s waiting up ahead or creeping up behind. Walking through the pathways are creepy dolls at the Deadly Toys zone, undead evils at the Graveyard zone, a deadly legend at La Llorona zone and lastly sinister monsters that lurk in the forest at The Hauntings zone. The scares are heightened this year with two ALL-NEW scare zones that are predicted to be soul-wrenching and full of freakish laughs that will inflict more terror upon this year’s guests.

NEW Frightful Show and Entertainment: Before the scares begin, a sinister SCARE-emony will kick-off the event every evening with music and immersive introductions of the foul creatures that call Howl-O-Scream home. Even amid so much mayhem, the night is just beginning. New to the event this year, guests will be mesmerized by a thrilling and high-energy live show. Between the shrills and chills, attendees can also find DJs and party zones that are perfect for a dance break between frights.

Thrilling Coasters in the Dark: After nightfall, every moment of fun comes with a splash of fear and darkness. Thrill seekers can take the ultimate dive and ride Emperor, SeaWorld’s newest coaster and California’s fastest, longest, and floorless dive coaster, at night for the extreme experience. Guests up to the challenge are invited to ride other thrill coasters during the witching-hours and brave Electric Eel and Journey to Atlantis.

    Monstrous Savings on Howl-O-Scream Tickets

Guests dying to experience the dismay of Howl-O-Scream can save up to 55 with tickets as low as $34.99. Those that crave chaos and seek unlimited scares will get the best value with an unlimited admission ticket for only $99. Howl-O-Scream is a separately ticketed event and is not included with regular SeaWorld park admission, Annual Pass or Fun Card. Tickets to Howl-O-Scream include haunted houses, scare zones, live entertainment, DJ dance parties, access to themed bars, rides and coasters at night, and more.

Invitation to Scare: Apply to be part of the Scare Squad (No Experience Necessary)

For those who can’t get enough of the haunt life, SeaWorld San Diego is looking for hundreds of enthusiastic performers who will add horror and thrills to the separately ticketed night event. The park is hosting Scare Squad auditions multiple times a week during the month of August. During the audition, applicants will be asked to participate in improvisational and physicality exercises to demonstrate various elements of scare tactics and showcase their best skills to startle, scare, and make guests scream in terror. The Scare Squad will spread fear and fun and join our Fear Family by being transformed into characters by world class makeup artists and the park’s costume design team. Interested applicants can secure their audition spot by applying online at bit.ly/SeaYourScare.

For a more light-hearted Halloween experience fit for the entire family, SeaWorld’s Spooktacular is back for daytime fun on Saturdays and Sundays from September 17-October 31. Candy, costumes and spooky fun will fill the days with daylight trick-or-treating for kids of all ages around the park, hay maze fun, dressing up in costumes and joining in the fun at Spooktacular Costume Party plus much more. Spooktacular is included with regular park admission.

Fans of fear can sign-up at howloscream.com/CA to be the first to receive more dark details on new houses, experiences and more coming to Howl-O-Scream at SeaWorld San Diego as additional gruesome details are announced. For more dreadful details follow Howl-O-Scream on FacebookTwitter and Instagram. For more information on Spooktacular and regular SeaWorld park hours, visit www.SeaWorldSanDiego.com.

Howl-O-Scream is intended for a mature audience. Howl-O-Scream 2022 is a separately ticketed night event. No costumes are allowed.

ANAHEIM, Calif. (Aug. 2, 2022) – The Happiest Place on Earth will soon be brimming with festive fun and joyful décor, when Holidays at the Disneyland Resort returns Nov. 11, 2022, through Jan. 8, 2023. During this magical time of year, friends and family will make merry memories together with treasured traditions and distinctly Disney experiences, such as seasonal nighttime spectaculars, transformations of favorite attractions, special food and beverages and more.
    At Disney California Adventure Park

Returning this year, the nighttime spectacular “World of Color – Season of Light” wraps guests in holiday magic by fusing cherished holiday music with memorable moments from treasured Disney animated films.

Through energetic live entertainment, culinary delights and special traditions, Disney Festival of Holidays at Disney California Adventure will highlight a diverse season of celebrations, including Christmas/Navidad, Diwali, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa and Three Kings Day. Festival marketplaces across the park will serve a handcrafted menu of delectable foods and beverages. Guests may choose to purchase a Sip and Savor Pass*, which can be shared or used over multiple visits, to taste their way through eight food or non-alcoholic beverage selections from participating marketplaces and dining locations. As part of the festival, guests will also enjoy nightly holiday concerts at the Palisades Stage in Paradise Gardens Park.

The jolly lineup of holiday entertainment continues with “Mickey’s Happy Holidays,” a procession of Disney and Pixar characters dancing and marching along to the upbeat rhythms of the Holiday Toy Drummers. The “Disney ¡Viva Navidad!” street party also returns, featuring Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse donning festive fiesta attire and accompanied by Mexican folklórico dancers and Mariachis, Brazilian samba dancers and percussionists, and giant mojiganga puppets. Guests can encounter Disney characters in holiday attire and, at Paradise Gardens Park, visit with Mirabel from Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “Encanto.” Santa Claus will once again take residence at his rustic home in the Redwood Creek Challenge
    Trail.

Disney California Adventure will sparkle with holiday décor throughout, highlighted by a 50-foot-tall Christmas tree in Buena Vista Street and automotive embellishment in Cars Land. The yuletide spirit will shift into high gear with two seasonal attraction transformations: Luigi’s Joy to the Whirl and Mater’s Jingle Jamboree.

Guests will once again share in the merriment of holiday entertainment at Disneyland. Anna, Elsa and Olaf from Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “Frozen,” along with Mickey, Minnie, Santa and many other friends will celebrate the season in “A Christmas Fantasy” Parade, a daily musical procession of floats, marching toy soldiers, dancing gingerbread cookies and more. Disney characters will greet guests in their finest holiday attire, with some debuting new outfits!

In the evenings, the festivities continue with the “Believe… in Holiday Magic” fireworks spectacular, which features magical “snowfall” and colorful projections on Main Street, U.S.A., and the façade of “it’s a small world.” Families can also dance along with characters such as Goofy, Pluto, Chip ‘n’ Dale and others during nightly holiday dance parties at the Tomorrowland Terrace.

Two beloved Disneyland attractions return with fan-favorite seasonal transformations. “it’s a small world” Holiday takes guests around the world as dolls and toys representing children enjoy the distinctive holiday traditions of their respective countries. In New Orleans Square, Jack Skellington and his friends cause a collision between Christmas and Halloween to transform the Haunted Mansion into Haunted Mansion Holiday.**

Disneyland will be adorned with festive décor, presenting an array of beautiful locations for holiday photos. As they enter the park, guests will be greeted by the iconic 60-foot-tall Christmas tree. The Plaza Point holiday shop, which offers holiday treasures year-round, will be decorated with garlands, nutcrackers and more. Sleeping Beauty’s Winter Castle will enchant guests from day to night with shimmering icicles and twinkling lights. The Holiday Time at Disneyland Park guided tour will return, offering a hosted experience of select seasonal offerings and reserved viewing for “A Christmas Fantasy” Parade.***
Holiday magic throughout the Disneyland Resort

All three Hotels of the Disneyland Resort will display beautifully themed Christmas trees, feature performances from convivial carolers and visits from Santa Claus. The Disneyland Resort culinary team is also continuing its annual gingerbread house display at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa.

Halloween Horror Nights Panel at Midsummer Scream

Last weekend at Midsummer Scream, John Murdy rolled out surprise after surprise at the yearly Halloween Horror Nights panel. Typically this panel is reserved for a deep dive into an already announced house, or maybe a house announcement.

What we got this year was a new house announcement, a tease for something we think is a house, and also a special guest where they gave a deep dive into an already announced house. And this was all within an hour.

Lots to get to, so let's dive in. You can also replay our live-stream of the panel below.

    Written by Gregg Condon
    Picture

Before the panel they added a second seat, so we knew that John would have a guest, but who would that guest actually be?

    Picture

Right off the bat, John started with his catch phrase (actually Shakespeare) when he has an announcement to make.

    Picture

And the announcement did not disappoint!

    Picture

This house will be near Curious George, where Haunting of Hill House was last year.

    Picture

John then did a deep dive into the characters that will be in the house

    Picture

As you proceed through the house, the scarecrows take on different forms

    Picture
    Picture

    And of course the KingCrow

    Picture

This Full Cast artwork really needs to be a shirt or poster

    Picture

Next, John teased something original, kind of an old-school Hollywood legend

    Picture

We think this is a house where The Walking Dead was, look at the "hotel", it looks very familiar

    Picture

Some more backstory for whatever this is (seems like a lot of story if it's just a scare zone)

    Picture

I'm sure there are some clues in these articles

    Picture
    Picture
    Picture

And a look at some characters. We are very excited for whatever this is.

    Picture

And lastly, John started talking a bit about Universal Monsters, so it was very obvious who the special guest would be. And yep, it was Slash!

    Picture

Not only did they do a deep dive into the new Universal Monsters house, but also the history of Slash's involvement with Halloween Horror Nights!

    Picture
    Picture

I of course had to sneak a pic with John and Slash!

    Picture
    Picture

The amount of applause this maze (it was still a maze last year) got when they started talking about it I think surprised John a bit. It's so beloved.

    Picture

And then we got a deep dive into the new Monsters house!

    Picture

Let's dive into Universal Monsters Legends Collide! There are spoilers ahead.

    Picture

The three stars of our house!

    Picture

The inspiration for the new house

    Picture

Red Moon for Dracula, Harvest Moon for The Mummy and Full Moon for The Wolfman.

    Picture

Some awesome Egyptian stuff in the house as well

    Picture

It was also revealed that the house at HHN Orlando is kind of "part one" of this house, and the HHN Hollywood house is "part two". Love this collaboration between events!

    Picture

There are A LOT of Easter Egg's in the house, so we'll have to go in a lot. Bummer. =)

    Picture
    Picture
    Picture

Props from the 1999 Mummy films!!!

Dracula's Brides from Bride of Frankenstein lives will be making a return to the house!
