    Reimagined Twisted Houses Bring Fresh Terror to the Night

    Two returning fan-favorite haunted houses have received a complete revamp in celebration of five years of fear, bringing even more elaborate scares and detailed storytelling:
    • In the newly reimagined Nightmare Experiment Sweet DreamzZz, guests are led through a converted asylum now run by a mysterious pharmaceutical company testing a sleep aid with horrifying side effects. From hallucinations to uncontrollable rage, the results are disastrous – and you’re the next test subject!
    • Also reimagined this year is Deathwater Bayou Awakening, where a Mardi Gras night in New Orleans takes a dark turn – guests are bewitched and dragged into a cursed bayou, where witches summon an ancient, ravenous deity. With every step, the swamp grows darker and more alive – and escape becomes more unlikely.
     
    Joining the lineup are three fan-favorite haunted houses, now resurrected with a few new twists and deeper nightmares—designed to push returning guests beyond the screams they thought they’d already survived. Circus of the Damned unleashes chaos and confusion in a neon-lit, 3-D clown nightmare, while Simon’s Slaughterhouse delivers a gruesome walk through a deranged meat factory. Area 64: Alien Outbreak brings extraterrestrial terror, luring guests inside a quarantined facility where aliens – and government secrets – have slipped loose.
     
    ALL-NEW Scare Zones Take the Fright Outside the Maze
    The terror isn’t limited to the houses. Eight immersive scare zones fill the park with haunting characters and hair-raising frights at every turn, each designed to keep guests on edge with every step. Adding to the lineup of scare zones this year is the new Overgrowth, a nightmarish walk through an overrun greenhouse where a botanist’s mutant plant experiments now feed on passersby. This dark, tangled forest leaves little room to run – or breathe.

    Returning favorites include Ripper Row, where the infamous killer still stalks fog-drenched streets, Deadly Toys, featuring demonic dolls and twisted plush playthings and Carnival of Chaos, where deranged carnies wait to recruit new victims.
     
    ALL-NEW Vile Vignettes with Disturbing Stories That Bite Back
    Vile Vignettes, spine-tingling horror stories come to life, are back with two new tales of terror:
    • In Summon the Spirits, an amateur paranormal investigator arrives in Ripper Row determined to contact a victim of Jack the Ripper. As the séance begins, something darker answers instead.
    • Dolly Delightful, an eerily perfect porcelain doll, finally breaks free from her pristine box – and has quite the temper. Guests must watch out as she has an appetite for dismembering any limbs that get too close to the try me button on her box.
     
    These stories join returning favorites like Dark Magic and Misfortune, where illusions and curses blur the line between reality and your greatest nightmares.
    Monster Stomp Slashes Its Way Back After a Killer Run
     
    After leaving audiences screaming for more last year, Monster Stomp on Ripper Row returns to the stage in all its sinister glory. This electrifying live show blends thunderous percussion, eerie vocals and haunting visuals into a gothic rock spectacle set in the streets of Victorian London. A twisted take on the legend of Jack the Ripper, the show quickly became a standout favorite, offering a thrilling – and chilling – break from the terror outside. Dark, theatrical and endlessly entertaining, Monster Stomp proves some nightmares are too good to stay dead.

    LAS VEGAS (August 14, 2025) – There’s a new Jack in town. Universal Horror Unleashed, the first-ever year-round horror experience created by the masters of horror at Universal Destinations and Experiences, is now open in the AREA15 District in Las Vegas.

    Set in an abandoned production warehouse filled with haunting stories and characters– from fan-favorite horror classics to original creations – the new experience will take guests on a terrifying journey through four haunted houses, four themed areas with live entertainment and spine-tingling food and cocktails as they attempt to evade monstrous creatures lurking around every corner.
    “Today marks an exciting step in our expansion into new markets as we officially welcome guests to Universal Horror Unleashed in Las Vegas,” said Page Thompson, President, New Ventures, Universal Destinations and Experiences. “Horror Unleashed will provide unique character interactions that will thrill fans of both horror and immersive entertainment.”

    Four Sinister Haunted Houses
    Each haunted house features dedicated show moments with deeper storytelling that places guests in the midst of horror.

    Those brave enough to enter will:
    • Face the dust storms of the Midwest in Scarecrow: The Reaping, an original story that will take them back in time to a dry, barren 1930s farmland ravaged by farmers and taken over by horrifying inhabitants arising from the land: bloodthirsty scarecrows bent on revenge.
    • Take a journey through the 1974 horror masterpiece in the “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre” haunted house, placing them in the footsteps of the victims as they face horrifying iconic scenes and characters. Guests will come face-to-face with Leatherface and every member of his deranged family and their victims, as the terrifying sound of chainsaws haunts them at every turn.
    • Face cinema’s most feared icons in Universal Monsters, where horror legends have broken free from the silver screen to stalk unwitting victims. From the shadowy halls of Castle Dracula, to the sandy tombs guarded by The Mummy, to the crackling lab where Frankenstein and The Bride still draw breath – this haunted house resurrects the most legendary monsters of all time in one continuous nightmare.
    • Descend into demonic possession in Blumhouse’s The Exorcist: Believer, and find themselves deep in the shadowy woods where best friends Katherine and Angela mysteriously vanish – only to be discovered days later with no memory of what happened. From there, the terror builds room by room as the girls’ disturbing transformation unfolds, going from the hospital to the girls’ homes to witnessing the actual exorcism as everyone is surrounded by supernatural chaos.
    Four Themed Areas
    Each immersive area will place guests in the center stage of horror, offering opportunities to interact with characters for a deeply engaging experience:
    • Kill Vault – Surrounded by rusty knives and machetes, the eerie characters at Kill Vault – from a strange surgeon to psychotic slashers – are lurking in the shadows attempting to lure their next victim as they interact with everyone in sight.
    • Prop Graveyard – Here, the line between inanimate and alive blurs, as guests face a supernatural collection of unsettling dolls, dismembered mannequins and other haunted objects from abandoned film sets that seem to move as guests walk through.
    • Dead Storage – Echoing the grandiosity of Universal’s earliest horror productions, Dead Storage will envelop guests in a shadow-filled sanctuary with forgotten set pieces and eerie relics that have been reclaimed by night-dwelling creatures – vampires, a werewolf in mid-transformation, and others that emerge without warning.
    • Jack’s Alley– Set in a twisted dark carnival atmosphere, guests will face Jack The Clown’s evil maniacs and a group of malicious jugglers, dancers and fortune tellers as they perform for their lives, during the Jack & Chance: Stay or Slay Show.

    Plus, for a visual preview of the terror that awaits inside, Universal Destinations and Experiences tapped acclaimed Las Vegas-based street artist Krie for a one-of-a-kind mural on the exterior of the building. Known for his bold, large-scale graffiti work across the city, the mural brings the story of Universal Horror Unleashed to life while also serving as a love letter to the city. This collaboration reflects the company’s commitment to investing in local artists, celebrating neighborhood culture, and staking a meaningful presence in Las Vegas.
    Delicious Chef-Inspired Food and Beverage
    Guests can also dine on a variety of themed shareable bites and specialty cocktails in designated areas, including:
    • Rough Cuts, where guests can feast on carved small plates as they witness a variety of show moments, electrifying performances and interact with characters to learn more about their haunting backstories. Dishes include Ears (fire roasted yellow corn, citrus aioli, grated cotija cheese, crushed Hot Cheetos, tajin, micro cilantro) and Shoulder (torta al pastor, marinated pork shoulder, fresh pineapple, avocado, lettuce, and pickled onions).
    • Premiere House, a tapas bar featuring the horrors of Blumhouse and serving a variety of signature cocktails and a selection of delicious shareable bites set amid an eerie atmosphere filled with movie props and twisted décor representing some of Universal’s most recent Blumhouse horror films. Dishes include Broiler Bread (garlic-herb stuffed pumpernickel roll, fiery smoked paprika cheese sauce), the Texas Chainsaw Flatbread (sausage, pepperoni, mozzarella cheese, spicy tomato sauce) and The Crow’s Nest (bourbon BBQ chicken lollipops, fried rice noodle nest, arugula, sesame seeds).
    • Boiler Bar, equal parts hellish spectacle and welcome reprieve with a monstrous flaming machine nestled in the heart of the venue, it offers guests a perfect vantage point for those seeking momentary respite while remaining immersed in the action and enjoying craft cocktails.
    • Jack’s Alley Bar, serving themed specialty cocktails as guests enjoy acrobatic performances and more in a circus-like hellscape where the deranged Jack the Clown and his impishly evil sidekick Chance reign.
    Terrifying Collection of Exclusive Merchandise

    Allentown, Pa. — Aug.12, 2025 — Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom will celebrate the fall season in 2025 with two distinct experiences: Halloween Haunt presented by SNICKERS®, Pennsylvania’s premier fright night event, and the family-friendly Tricks and Treats weekends ideal for all ages.

    Beginning Friday, Sept. 12 at 6 pm, Halloween Haunt transforms the park with seven haunted mazes and five scare zones. The terrifying Forge Your Fear scare zone returns, taking over the Steel Yard with immersive horrors.

    Returning haunted mazes include:
    • The Ghost in the Machine
    • Tourist Trap presented by LIFE SAVERS®
    • Blood on the Bayou
    • Trick or Treat presented by SNICKERS®
    • Blackout
    • Necropolis
    • Roadside Stop and Chop presented by M&M'S®

    The scare zones featured this year are:
    • Carnevil
    • Dystopia
    • Port of Call
    • Midway Misfits
    • Forge Your Fear

    Halloween Haunt will be held on Fridays and Saturdays from Sept.12 through Nov. 2, with additional Sunday events on Oct. 12, 19, 26 and Nov. 2. The event also offers night rides on the Iron Menace dive coaster, access to more than 60 rides, seasonal food and beverages, and live entertainment. Costumes are prohibited, and the event is recommended for guests aged 13 and older.

    New for this year, access to haunted mazes will require a separate Haunted Attractions Pass, available for purchase online and at Dorney Park. The Haunted Attractions Pass unlocks access to seven terrifying haunted mazes during Halloween Haunt including Tourist Trap, Blood on the Bayou, Blackout, Ghost in the Machine, and Trick or Treat. The introduction of the Haunted Attractions Pass reflects an exciting new chapter of scares at Dorney Park’s Halloween Haunt, driven by strategic updates designed to enhance the scare factor of select haunted mazes and improve the guest experience during this event. Those seeking the heart-pounding terror of our haunted mazes can enhance their visit with the purchase of a Haunted Attractions Pass, while guests preferring other experiences can still enjoy everything else Dorney Park has to offer.  

    Guests under 13 attending Halloween Haunt must be accompanied by a ticketed adult aged 18 or older.

Back for its 34th terrifying season, this year’s event promises more screams, more surprises, and more spine-tingling thrills with the debut of an all-new haunted maze, three new scare zones, and new entertainment offerings. Fright Fest combines pulse-pounding rides in the dark with immersive horror experiences for an unforgettable Halloween celebration.
     
    Haunted Mazes
    Brave souls can step inside five haunted mazes, each filled with blood-curdling scares and heart-racing moments around every corner. From bone-chilling new nightmares to returning fan favorites, these immersive experiences are not for the faint of heart.
     
    This season, the electrifying line-up includes three haunted mazes inspired by popular Hollywood horror franchises:
    • NEW! The Conjuring Universe: Based on New Line Cinema’s iconic horror franchise: enter the Warrens' occult museum where their most terrifying cases await. Face Annabelle's malevolent stare, flee from The Nun's unholy presence, and survive the Perron farmhouse's demonic forces. Each cursed artifact awakens ancient evil. Tonight, you're not just observing their cases; you've become part of them;
    • SAW: Legacy of Terror – Welcome to the ultimate trial of survival in SAW: Legacy of Terror. Step into the world of SAW with a diabolical experience honoring the franchise’s legacy of terror by plunging into the depths of Jigsaw’s twisted mind. Traverse iconic scenes inspired by the films and come face to face with some of John Kramer’s most diabolical contraptions before time runs out; and,
    • Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2022): Welcome back to Harlow, Texas—in this corner of the world, secrets are buried deep and a dark truth lurks behind closed doors.     The fear doesn't stop after the haunted mazes—seven scare zones across the park bring terrifying encounters to the streets. With three all-new zones debuting this year, guests should stay alert... because there's no telling where fear might find them.
     
    Prepare to be lured into three all-new experiences, including the twisted chaos of Oddities: Circus of Madness, the dark horrors of Head Bangerz, and the spirits of Los Muertos. Returning favorites like Henchmen Alley, Forbidden Forest, Underworld, and Lost Souls ensure there’s nonstop terror at every turn.

    Kids Boo Fest
