From Pretzels to Paranormal: Canada’s Wonderland Announces Fall Events Lineup

Oktoberfest, family-friendly Tricks & Treats and Halloween Haunt bring three
distinctly different ways to experience the park this fall
    Picture
VAUGHAN, ON (Aug. 18, 2026) – Fall is taking over Canada’s Wonderland. As summer winds down, the
park transforms for a season of food, festivities, family-friendly Halloween fun and after-dark scares,
with Oktoberfest, Tricks & Treats and Halloween Haunt bringing three distinctly different experiences to
    the park this fall.

Whether guests are raising a stein to Oktoberfest, trick-or-treating with the PEANUTS gang or facing
their fears at Halloween Haunt, there’s something for everyone as the season changes at Canada’s
    Wonderland.

    Oktoberfest: Prost to Fall!

The fall festivities begin with Oktoberfest, returning weekends Sept. 11-13 and 18-20 with the sights,
sounds and flavours of Germany. Guests can enjoy German favourites including bratwurst, schnitzel and
warm pretzels, paired with an extensive selection of craft beers and seasonal dishes.

The celebration comes alive with lively polka music, live bands, street performers and festive
entertainment, while most of the park’s most popular rides remain open for guests looking to add some
    thrills to their celebration.

Tricks & Treats: All the Family Fun, No Fear

Starting Sept. 26, families can celebrate Halloween during Tricks & Treats, the new name for Canada’s
Wonderland’s popular family-friendly Halloween event formerly known as Camp Spooky.

Taking place during the day on select dates through Nov. 1, Tricks & Treats is all about Halloween fun
without the fright. Kids can dress up in their Halloween best, meet friendly characters, enjoy trick-ortreating
and take part in a variety of spooky-but-silly entertainment and activities.

Highlights include Monster Bash, where classic movie monsters compete to become the Ultimate
Halloween Monster, the PEANUTS Costume Party, and a Trick or Treating Adventure.

Families can also explore a friendlier side of some of Canada’s Wonderland’s spooky environments,
including Spirit Manor, where brighter lights, a lighter soundtrack and friendly ghosts replace the scares.

Guests can also see the Pumpkin Patches, enjoy the musical stylings of the Spectral Sisters, meet magical
characters in Wicked Hollow and explore the family-friendly Corn Maze.

Halloween Haunt: All You Fear, Is Here

When the sun goes down, the monsters come to play.

Halloween Haunt returns select nights Sept. 25 through Nov. 1, transforming Canada’s Wonderland into
a scream park filled with haunted mazes, sinister scare zones, hundreds of monsters, live entertainment
    and thrilling night rides.

Guests can brave six haunted mazes*, including Cornstalkers, Dark Ride, Demons of the Deep, Spirit
Manor, The Crypt and The Ruins, each immersing guests in a different nightmare. Seven scare zones
throughout the park add another layer of terror, with monsters and eerie environments waiting around
    every corner.

Returning as a featured experience is The Conjuring: Beyond Fear, an immersive terror experience that
puts guests in the role of paranormal investigators. Guests must confront malevolent entities from New
Line Cinema’s The Conjuring Universe, including the infamous Annabelle, while attempting to lock away
cursed artifacts before sinister forces consume the living realm. A separate purchase is required for this
experience, which is recommended for guests aged 13 and up.

Haunt also features live entertainment including Inferno, a fiery performance featuring daring stunts
and contortions; Head Bangers, an electrifying LED drumming experience; and live bands and
    performers throughout the event.

*Access with the purchase of a Haunted Attraction Pass.

Canada’s Wonderland Is Hiring Its Monsters

Every scream at Halloween Haunt starts with the people behind the makeup.

Canada’s Wonderland is currently hiring for Halloween Haunt actors who will transform into the
monsters, characters and creatures that bring the park’s haunted mazes and scare zones to life.

Those selected for the roles will become part of the team responsible for bringing Canada’s
Wonderland’s haunted mazes and scare zones to life, helping create the characters and creatures that
make Halloween Haunt one of the park’s most immersive experiences.

Six Flags Great Adventure goes big for fall with four new haunted mazes, family Halloween fun and more ways to play

Blockbuster horror franchises, original nightmares and the return of Dead Man's Party headline a massive fall lineup featuring Fright Fest, Kids Boo Fest and Oktoberfest
    Picture
JACKSON, N.J. — Aug. 17, 2026 — This fall, one day at Six Flags Great Adventure can go from candy to coasters to creatures after dark.

The Northeast's premier theme park destination is going big for fall in 2026, delivering a full day-to-night lineup packed with family-friendly Halloween experiences, seasonal food and entertainment, world-class thrill rides and one of the park's most ambitious Fright Fest lineups yet.

Four new haunted mazes lead the charge this year, including JASON: Blood Reign and Final Destination: Death's Playground, inspired by two blockbuster horror franchises, plus two all-new original Great Adventure nightmares, Twisted Holidays and Deadwood Cabin. They join returning licensed experiences The Conjuring Universe™ and Army of the Dead®, additional original haunted mazes, sinister scare zones and a packed live entertainment lineup during Fright Fest.

    And that's just after dark.

Beginning Sept. 12, Great Adventure's fall calendar comes alive with the family-friendly Kids Boo Fest and Oktoberfest presented by Cash App, followed by Fright Fest beginning Sept. 18. Add the park's lineup of world-class roller coasters, family attractions and limited-time fall food and beverages, and guests can pack multiple distinctly different experiences into a single visit.

"There's nothing small about fall at Great Adventure," said Mike Fehnel, park president of Six Flags Great Adventure. "You can trick-or-treat with your family, ride some of the world's best roller coasters, enjoy the food and atmosphere of Oktoberfest and then watch the entire park change as Fright Fest takes over after dark. We're giving guests an incredible amount to experience in one destination and even more reasons to come back throughout the season."

FOUR NEW NIGHTMARES. ONE FRIGHT FEST.
Fright Fest returns select nights Sept. 18 through Nov. 1, transforming Great Adventure into a sprawling Halloween playground filled with haunted mazes, scare zones, live entertainment and thrill rides after dark.
The Great Adventure lineup is part of Six Flags Entertainment Corporation's biggest Halloween offering yet. Across North America, Six Flags will deliver 448 Halloween-themed experiences, anchored by 29 new and returning licensed haunted attractions and the company's largest-ever collection of licensed horror franchises.

At Great Adventure, guests will have four entirely new haunted mazes to survive in 2026:

    NEW! JASON: BLOOD REIGN
Guests will ignore every warning and step into the dark woods surrounding the legendary summer camp. They’ll discover the secrets lurking in the trees and retrace the blood-soaked events that made Jason Voorhees from Friday the 13th the most feared slasher ever. What should have stayed dead has returned. Visitors become part of the story.

"It's incredible to see how fans' appetite for Jason Voorhees keeps growing," said Robbie Barsamian, executive vice president at Horror, Inc. "Partnering with Six Flags for Blood Reign lets us deliver the iconic slasher straight to our community on an immersive scale."

    NEW! FINAL DESTINATION: DEATH'S PLAYGROUND
Guests can enter their Final Destination, a haunted maze where death itself is the antagonist, and where a sudden premonition reveals a chain of catastrophic events just moments before they occur. Those who enter will have to watch their step, because death isn’t random — it’s calculated — and they’ve unknowingly disrupted a design already set in motion. Based off New Line Cinema’s Final Destination franchise.

    NEW! TWISTED HOLIDAYS
The most wonderful times of the year have gone horribly wrong.

Twisted Holidays turns festive traditions into a year-round nightmare, where twisted decorations, sinister holiday spirits and gifts no one wants wait around every corner. What should be the most wonderful times of the year have become a celebration of fear, where every season is haunted.

    NEW! DEADWOOD CABIN
Some places are better left undiscovered.

Hidden deep within the woods, Deadwood Cabin follows a notorious family of serial killers who fled to an isolated farm as police closed in. The property has since become their twisted killing ground, filled with the gruesome remains of their victims. Every room tells a horrifying story, and every step takes guests deeper into it.

MORE MAZES. MORE WAYS TO SCREAM.
Four new mazes are only the beginning.

Returning licensed experiences include The Conjuring Universe, where guests enter the Warrens' occult museum where cursed artifacts awaken ancient evil, and Army of the Dead, which traps guests inside a zombie-infested Las Vegas  based on the Netflix film.

    Returning original haunted experiences include:
    • Asylum – After being subjected to terrifying tests and experiments, the inmates have taken matters into their own hands.
    • Big Top Terror – Freak show characters, performers and wicked clowns invite guests into a carnival where the mayhem is part of the fun.
    • The Witches' Reflection –The witches' cabin must be entered carefully. The curse waiting inside may follow guests long after they escape.

Guests wishing to experience haunted mazes must have valid park admission, a Season Pass or membership, plus a Haunted Attractions Pass. Options include a one-night Haunted Attractions Pass, an All Season Haunted Attractions Pass for eligible Season Passholders and Members, and a Haunted Attractions Express Pass offering priority maze access.

THE ENTIRE PARK BECOMES PART OF THE NIGHTMARE
At Fright Fest, fear doesn't stop at the maze exit.

Scare zones transform entire sections of Great Adventure into open-air nightmares. Carnevil unleashes maniacal clowns across The Boardwalk; zombies lurk within Exile Canyon; restless souls take over Plaza De La Muerte; the undead surround Bloody Fountain; and pirates and sea creatures roam Curse of Blackbeard's Bounty.

Scare zones, live entertainment and nighttime ride experiences are included with park admission, giving guests hours of Halloween entertainment beyond the haunted mazes.
Fright Fest is not recommended for children under 13.

    “DEAD MAN'S PARTY” RISES AGAIN
After a one-year hiatus, one of Great Adventure's most celebrated Fright Fest traditions is rising from the grave.

“Dead Man's Party” returns in 2026, bringing Dr. Fright and his undead friends back to the stage for the high-energy production that became a fall tradition for generations of Great Adventure guests.

Blending the energy of a rock concert with theatrical choreography and Halloween spectacle, “Dead Man's Party” has spent decades helping define Fright Fest entertainment at Great Adventure. Now, after a year away, Dr. Fright and his undead crew are ready to rock the afterlife once again.

The entertainment doesn't stop there. The nightly “Awakening” signals the start of the park's transformation, “Blade Drummers” gets fired up with demonic bladesmiths and “Unleashed” combines live-action entertainment with cirque-style feats, dance and acrobatics.

Together, the shows add another full layer of entertainment between haunted mazes, scare zones and nighttime rides.

    FRIGHTFULLY GOOD FOOD AND DRINKS
At Fright Fest, even the menu gets a sinister makeover.

Great Adventure's Halloween food and beverage lineup extends the experience beyond the mazes with limited-time specialty food, cocktails and nonalcoholic creations served throughout the park.

Among the most eye-catching offerings are specialty blood bag cocktails, including Transfusion, made with vodka, cranberry juice, grenadine and lemonade; Alien Blood, featuring vanilla vodka, candied-orange syrup and sweet and sour; and Zombie Juice, an undead-inspired combination of vodka, Granny Smith apple syrup and lemonade.

Guests looking for all the Halloween presentation without the spirits can sink their teeth into specialty mocktails including Vampire's Kiss, combining lemonade, cherry and vanilla; the Purple People Eater, a mix of desert pear, cranberry and lemonade; and Pixie Potion, a colorful combination of blue raspberry, green apple and lemonade.

Limited-time Halloween food and sweet treats round out the menu, giving guests even more to discover between haunted mazes, scare zones, shows and nighttime rides.

BIG FALL FUN FOR LITTLE MONSTERS
Before fear takes over at night, Halloween belongs to families.

Kids Boo Fest, running select dates Sept. 12 through Nov. 1, delivers Halloween fun without the fright. Families can enjoy trick-or-treating, fall activities, games, live entertainment and favorite family rides in a playful Halloween atmosphere designed for children of all ages.

Kids are encouraged to dress in their Halloween best and spend the day celebrating before Great Adventure's nighttime transformation begins.

Kids Boo Fest daytime activities are included with park admission, giving families even more to experience during a fall visit.

    OKTOBERFEST BRINGS BIG FLAVOR
Oktoberfest, running Sept. 12 through Nov. 1, brings the sights, sounds and flavors of the season to Great Adventure with hearty German-inspired food, festive entertainment and an extensive selection of Oktoberfest beers.

Guests can dig into fall favorites including sauerbraten, pork and chicken schnitzel, knockwurst and bratwurst on pretzel buns, cheesy spaetzle, German potato salad, potato pancakes and steamed and fried pierogies. Even the wings get an Oktoberfest twist with house-made bratwurst-spiced chicken wings.
No Oktoberfest would be complete without a pretzel. Great Adventure will serve soft Bavarian pretzels with beer cheese alongside the savory lineup.

Guests 21 and older can raise a stein with a lineup of Paulaner and Samuel Adams® beers, including Paulaner Oktoberfest, Paulaner Hefeweizen, Paulaner Munich Lager, Paulaner Grapefruit Radler, Samuel Adams Octoberfest and Samuel Adams Boston Lager®. The Oktoberfest Stein adds another way to toast the season.
Kids Boo Fest and Oktoberfest daytime activities are included with park admission, adding even more value to a fall visit.

THE BEST VALUE? START 2027 NOW.
For guests who want to experience more than one fall day at Great Adventure, a 2027 Season Pass or eligible membership stretches the value well beyond Halloween.

Eligible products can be used during the remainder of 2026, giving guests access to Great Adventure's fall celebrations while regional access opens the door to even more experiences at participating Six Flags parks across the East Coast.

At nearby Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom, that includes Halloween Haunt presented by SNICKERS® and the all-new Blair Witch: No Signal. Step into the legend of The Blair Witch Project and venture deep into the mysteries of the Black Hills Forest. In near-total darkness, you’ll navigate environments inspired by the world of the franchise, including winding trails, abandoned camps, eerie ritual sites, and the infamous Rustin Parr House as the forest itself seems to close in. Reality unravels within — experience Blair Witch: No Signal.
When Halloween ends, the value continues.

Holiday in the Park returns to Six Flags Great Adventure for the 2026 holiday season, giving Passholders and eligible Members another reason to return before the year is over.
    Then comes 2027 and Bakunawa.

Great Adventure's record-breaking new spinning launch coaster will rise 382 feet above The Boardwalk and reach speeds of 100 mph when it debuts next year, adding another major experience to a full 2027 season.

    • Seven immersive scare zones
    • Nine live entertainment experiences
    • Nighttime rides in the dark

    Returning Horror Franchise Attractions
The Conjuring Universe (All-New Maze Experience)
Based on the iconic horror franchise: enter the Warrens' occult museum where their most terrifying cases await. Face Annabelle's malevolent stare, flee from The Nun's unholy presence, and survive the Perron farmhouse's demonic forces. Each cursed artifact awakens ancient evil. Tonight, you're not just observing their cases; you've become part of them.

    SAW: Legacy of Terror
Welcome to the ultimate trial of survival in SAW: LEGACY OF TERROR. Plunge into the depths of Jigsaw's twisted mind as you traverse iconic scenes inspired by the SAW films. Think you can escape some of John Kramer's most diabolical contraptions before time runs out?

    New Scare Zones for 2026
    Cirkus Bezerkus: Big Top Terror
Guests step into a faded golden-age circus where carnival games line the path, sideshow performers lure guests closer and sinister clowns stalk the crowds from the shadows. Once a celebrated traveling spectacle, this circus is now desperate for an audience once again. Guests who wander beneath the big top may discover they've become part of the show in this macabre new nightmare.

    Alley of the Dead
These streets used to be beautiful. Today, they belong to the dead. Years ago, a corrupt corporation dumped toxic waste into the alley, leaving it to decay beneath flickering neon lights and glowing barrels of ooze. Its inhabitants became zombie punks and alley-dwelling creatures who now rule the darkness. This alley changes all who enter.

Returning Haunted Attractions and Scare Zones
In addition to the iconic horror franchises, guests will encounter original nightmares and returning fan favorites throughout the park, creating a fully immersive Halloween environment around every corner.

    Expanded Interactive Lantern Experience
Returning by popular demand, Fiesta Texas' interactive lantern program returns larger than ever with more than 25 interaction points throughout the park. Using specialty lanterns, guests can trigger hidden effects, awaken lurking monsters and unlock immersive surprises woven directly into the Fright Fest experience.

    Nighttime Thrills
As darkness falls, the park's world-class roller coasters and thrill rides take on an entirely different personality. Dense fog, dramatic lighting, haunting soundscapes and the darkness of the Texas night transform favorite attractions into unforgettable Halloween experiences.
