Delusion Returns to the Historic Beckett Mansion with Den of the Mosquito

Delusion Returns to the Historic Beckett Mansion with Den of the Mosquito
LOS ANGELES (August 12, 2026) — Delusion, the acclaimed interactive horror theater experience created by writer and director Jon Braver, returns this fall to the historic Beckett Mansion, where the series first began in 2011. Presented by Thirteenth Floor Entertainment Group, the 2026 production, Delusion: Den of the Mosquito, runs on select nights from September 17 through November 8 and marks a homecoming for the long-running series.

Set inside a brothel in 1920s New Orleans, Den of the Mosquito unfolds as a supernatural tale of crime, family, mobsters and monsters, with vampire courtesans lurking at the center of its mystery. Guests become agents of Anomaly, a clandestine organization investigating supernatural threats, and must move through the story as active participants whose encounters help propel the night forward.

The new production returns to the intimate, character-driven storytelling and close audience interaction that defined Delusion’s earliest seasons. Each performance is limited to a group of 10 guests and unfolds as a streamlined, approximately 50-minute narrative play. Split paths, suspense-driven scenes and emotionally charged encounters place each group at the center of a darker, more personal adventure. The experience welcomes guests ages 18 and over.

Returning to the Beckett Mansion feels like coming home. Longtime fans will immediately recognize the intimate, character-driven storytelling that shaped Delusion from the beginning,” said Jon Braver, creator, writer and director of Delusion. “In a world increasingly lived through screens, shared live experiences like this feel more necessary than ever.”

The Beckett Mansion served as Delusion’s original home in 2011 and 2012, helping establish the series’ distinctive blend of cinematic storytelling, live performance, practical effects and audience participation. Its return allows the creative team to use the mansion’s heavy atmosphere and historic quarters as part of the story, creating a production built around tension, mystery and intimate audience interaction.

Tickets start at $143 on select nights and are on sale now. For additional information, including event details and ticketing, visit enterdelusion.com and follow Delusion on Facebook and Instagram.

Midsummer Scream Says Goodbye to Long Beach with Epic 2026 Convention

Welcome to our yearly update from one of our favorite events of the year, Midsummer Scream!

In this update we've got a lot of fun horror goodies to share with you as well as some videos and updates from some of the theme park panels that were held over the weekend.

This years coverage was a bit different for us, I (Gregg) had a previously planned family weekend the weekend of Midsummer Scream so I enlisted the help of our dear friend Chris and his fiancé Mark to cover the event for us. As you can see we didn't miss a beat (I knew we wouldn't).

I also want to give a shout out to our good buddy Theme Park Wizard who shared some pics of the theme park panels on Sunday.

Thank you once again to the Midsummer Scream crew for not only putting on an amazing event, but for including us as media partners. The privilege is never lost on us.

Let's dive right in for some Halloween shenanigan's.

MIDSUMMER SCREAM MAKES HISTORY WITH FOURTH SELLOUT AND RECORD 50,000 ATTENDEES

World's Largest Halloween and Horror Convention Announces Move to Anaheim Convention Center With 2027 Show Set for August 6–8
    Picture
LONG BEACH, CA — Midsummer Scream, the world's largest Halloween and horror convention, concluded its most successful year to date, welcoming more than 50,000 fans to the Long Beach Convention Center for another sold-out weekend of haunted attractions, celebrity guests, panels, and Halloween spectacle. The record-breaking attendance marks a landmark milestone for the event, which has grown into the premier destination for horror enthusiasts, creators, and fans worldwide.

Midsummer Scream will move to the Anaheim Convention Center for its 2027 show, scheduled for August 6–8. The expanded venue offers greater space to accommodate the event's growing community of fans, haunters, vendors, artists, and celebrities.

However, Midsummer Scream won't be leaving Long Beach behind entirely. Organizers also announced that their fan-favorite holiday horror event, Season's Screamings, will return December 5–6, 2027 at the Long Beach Convention Center. The winter event will feature the Hall of Yuletide Spirits, spooky vendors, and other surprises to celebrate the holidays with a healthy dose of scares.

“The amazing community of Halloween and horror fans continues to grow, and we’re excited to be able to grow with it,” said David Markland, executive director and co-founder of Midsummer Scream. “It’s bittersweet to leave a venue as amazing as the Long Beach Convention Center, but we look forward to all the new opportunities awaiting us in Anaheim.”

From the CATHEDRAL Listening Party on Friday evening to the standing-room-only 30th Anniversary Scream panel hosted by Matthew Lillard (produced in partnership with Paramount Scares), to Universal's Halloween Horror Nights closing panel with Creative Director and Executive Producer John Murdy, the weekend was packed wall-to-wall with unmissable moments.

More than 350 vendors filled the convention floor, offering an unrivaled shopping experience featuring rare collectibles, original artwork, and costumes. The Hall of Shadows drew massive crowds across all three days, with fans packing nearly two indoor acres of attractions from Lionsgate Studios, Universal Studios Horror Unleashed, and independent creators from open to close.

The floor also gave haunted attraction fans an exciting preview of the upcoming Southern California scare season, featuring displays and photo ops from Knott’s Scary Farm, Queen Mary's Dark Harbor, Los Angeles Haunted Hayride, and Six Flags Magic Mountain.

Celebrity meet-and-greets kept lines buzzing throughout the weekend, while a full slate of kid-friendly activities kept young horror fans entertained—proving that Midsummer Scream truly offers something for everyone.

Tickets for both Midsummer Scream and Season’s Screaming will go on sale in early 2027. For up-to-date information, follow them on Instagram and Facebook @midsummerscream or signup for their mailing list at midsummerscream.org.
