    Six Flags Great Adventure Holiday in the Park Returns with New Festive Entertainment and Nostalgic Winter Thrills

    Jackson, NJ — November 20, 2023 — Holiday in the Park, Six Flags Great Adventure’s spectacular holiday festival, will once again dazzle in 2023. Weekends and select days November 24 through January 1, 2024, the World’s Ultimate Thrill Park will present a wonderland of winter fun. This enchanting holiday experience features 11 specially-themed areas that will immerse guests in the sights and sounds of the holidays. The event is included with all active passes and single day tickets.

    • Holiday Magic: A Celebration of the Season & A Holiday Wish List – Feel the magic created by two dazzling shows as the five-story holiday tree comes to life in the heart of the park every 30 minutes;

    • Yuletide Vibes – Snuggle up with your loved ones as a singing guitar duo melts your heart with cozy yuletide melodies;
    • Prancer’s Dancers – Watch Prancer as he gets Santa’s reindeer fit to fly his sleigh;
    • Rudolph’s Regiment – This strolling symphony is back to keep the holiday cheer continuing all season long;
    • Jolly Light Show – Stroll hand and hand through the jolliest of walkways surrounded by the lights and songs of synchronized trees;
    •  Storytime with Mrs. Claus – Gather as Mrs. Claus delights young and old with fun holiday tales;
    • Photos with Santa– Bring a list and check it twice for a jolly visit with old St. Nick through December 23rd;
    • Peppermint Prince - A Festive, New Character – The Peppermint Princess has found her prince. Peppermint Prince will join her for a meet-and-greet in Gingerbread Junction to share in the holiday festivities;
    • Delicious Seasonal Flavors
      • Granny’s Holiday Feast – Granny’s is serving up nostalgic classics like meatloaf, turkey, glazed ham, mashed potatoes, stuffing and delicious pies and apple dumplings;
      • Central Brewhouse – An Irish-inspired menu features Shepard’s pie, Irish stout pot roast, Irish cheddar mac and cheese and potato leek soup;
      • Mrs. Claus Cookies – Grab a fresh baked cookie or holiday cupcake along with a hot cocoa or coffee before enjoying a holiday story with Mrs. Claus herself;
      • Holiday Treats – The sweet and savory tastes of the season, including spiked egg nog, holiday cocktail flights, flavored coffee and hot chocolate, peppermint and mocha fudge, seasonal beers, and festive funnel cake can be found throughout the park;

    Hanukkah Celebration Returns to Sesame Place San Diego

    November 21, 2023 (San Diego, CA) - Sesame Place® San Diego, the only theme park on the West Coast based entirely on the award-winning show Sesame Street®, is hosting a Hanukkah Celebration on Sunday, December 10. The daytime family-friendly holiday fun includes:
     
    • Menorah Candle Lighting Ceremony - Guests can join their favorite furry friends for this holiday ritual led by Rabbi Daniel Reich from Congregation Adat Yeshurun.
    • Furry Friends Hanukkah Dance Party – A festive dance party where guests can move and groove to traditional Hanukkah music.
    • Play Dreidel with Elmo – Guests can join Elmo to learn how to play traditional Hanukkah game played in Jewish homes all over the world and even win some gelt!
    • Hanukkah Storytime – Everyone is invited to learn all about Hanukkah with their Sesame Street friends at this special storytime at Big Bird’s Nest and reading of Elmo’s First Dreidel.  The book is also available for purchase at Hooper’s Store.
    • Kosher Food – The park is serving a limited-time menu of Glatt Kosher food.*
     
    In addition to the Hanukkah Celebration, guests can enjoy daily park offerings including Sesame Street-themed rides and attractions, the interactive Sesame Street Neighborhood complete with the iconic 123 Stoop, daily live character shows, an award-winning parade, one-of-a-kind photo opportunities and of course, everyone’s favorite furry friends.
     
    From now through January 7, kids ages 3 to 9 will receive free admission when accompanied by an adult with a paid ticket. Tickets must be purchased by December 10 and the visitation must occur by January 7. Plus, kids under three visit for free year-round!
                                
    Hanukkah Celebration takes place on Sunday, December 10, 2023.  Sesame Place San Diego is located at 2052 Entertainment Circle in Chula Vista. The park is open on Saturdays and Sundays plus select additional dates.
     
    In addition to Hanukkah Celebration, now through January 7, Sesame Place offers A Very Furry Christmas, a festive, family-friendly celebration featuring everyone's favorite Sesame Street friends. The park is transformed into a winter wonderland, adorned with thousands of twinkling lights, holiday magic, and surprises. New this year, guests can enjoy a 24-foot tall Christmas Tree, photos with Santa, and extended evening hours for a more festive experience.     5-Month-Old Cougars Join Stunning Lineup of Holiday Themed Attractions, Food, and Entertainment
    ​VALLEJO, Calif. — November 16, 2023 — Six Flags Discovery Kingdom, the Thrill Capital of Northern California, today announced the arrival of two female cougar cubs as part of the stunning experiences guests can enjoy during Holiday in the Park. The annual holiday event begins November 24 celebrating a special delivery of five month old Kayah and Aiyana who now weigh, just over 30 lbs.. Guests can visit the cougar cubs as well as enjoy breathtaking holiday displays, themed entertainment, seasonal food, and world class rides as part of the 16th annual Holiday in the Park.

    “Visiting Six Flags for Holiday in the Park has been an annual tradition for families all across Northern California for years,” said park spokesperson Marc Merino. “For the 16th year of the event, our team is excited to continue to raise the bar of the guest experience with newly themed areas, delicious festive food offerings, and our early holiday gift, five month old Kayah and Aiyana.”

    Kayah and Aiyana will play an important role at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom as ambassadors for their counterparts in the wild, educating and delighting guests in the newly updated Cougar Rocks are of the park.

    Carnival Jubilee Successfully Completes Sea Trials Ahead of Debut in Galveston, Texas

    Carnival Cruise Line’s newest ship, Carnival Jubilee, has successfully completed its first full round of sea trials. Now, she’s one more milestone closer to her monumental debut in Galveston, Tex. on Dec. 23.

    Carnival Jubilee’s sea trials successfully completed on Nov. 14. The trials were led by a full contingent of officers, technicians and engineers on board who thoroughly tested the ship’s technical, mechanical and navigational systems.

    “Our all-new Carnival Jubilee performed extremely well through each test we put her through this past week. Now shortly, we’ll start cruising and our team is prepared to welcome our guests from Galveston onto this beautiful new ship,” Captain Andrea Catalani said.
    Carnival Jubilee is the first Carnival ship to be built in Germany. She will officially join the fleet when she is delivered to Carnival by shipbuilder Meyer Werft in Papenburg on Dec. 4. The ship proudly displays a Texas star on the bow of the ship to pay tribute to Jubilee’s homeport of Galveston. The ship will feature unique concepts in sea-themed zones that will delight guests with delicious food and beverage options, such as the Dr.Inks, Ph.D Bar. Technology and other design elements will transport guests from a sunny pier-like “boardwalk” to an adventurous ocean-floor promenade.

    The cruise line’s third ship to be powered by a Liquefied Natural Gas propulsion system, Carnival Jubilee also features other stunning innovations – including top-deck rollercoaster BOLT: The Ultimate Seacoaster, and guest-favorites like Guy’s Pig & Anchor Smokehouse, and Shaquille O’Neal’s Big Chicken restaurant.
