But today we're in Williamsburg with Renée who spent the weekend riding some amazing rides and drinking some amazing beer (bier?). Let's check out one of the best parks in the country!! You can’t go wrong with any of the coasters Busch Gardens VA   Ended the night with some amazing rides on Apollo’s Chariot!  Back at Busch Gardens VA for some more coaster fun! First train of the day on InvadR, and the whole train to myself as well.    Got a few more rides in on Griffon before things get busier.    Delayed opening for Verbolten. The only new coaster for me left on this trip, so I’ll wait it out.
I’m seeing signs for these all over the park. I guess I’m out of touch with this fad. Are these the new fidget spinners?  Verbolten was a surprise hit for me! There seriously are zero bad coasters at this park.
 t’s the final day for Bier Fest. Gotta get another sampler card to try some more!   Getting some gorgeous views on the Rhine River Cruise.     Giving out fanny packs to riders for loose articles on Tempesto is something I’ve never encountered on a coaster before, but hey, it’s fast and it works.    The theming on all of the Busch Gardens VA rides are really top notch. Escape From Pompeii is short and sweet with just enough fire and water for an awesome ride.   My face when I’m trying to sample all the beers on the last day of Bier Fest and it’s 90+ degrees outside and I only have 3 hours left.  The park is gearing up for Howl O Scream in a few days.  For Bier Fest they also had some brewery talks, which I always find interesting to attend.  This Busch Gardens doesn’t have quite as many animals as Tampa, but there are a few. Here are some random sheep.  Prost! Had such a fun weekend  Related Videos:
Related Updates:  Last week we were invited out to SeaWorld San Diego to check out the all new Ocean Explorer as well as the new Orca Encounter. Overall we really enjoyed the new area even though it's definitely for the younger set, which is totally fine considering next years addition is for us thrill seekers. I have to be 100% honest, when I watched the preview video below that Al shot during the AP Previews I was concerned that it still contained too many "show" elements and it wasn't going to convince any of the SeaWorld detractors that they've gone far enough. I envisioned just a huge area where the Orca's would swim and the stadium was just there for you to go in and watch them throughout the day. But after seeing Orca Enounter I can definitely see where SeaWorld is going with the new show and it's definitely different than their previous shows. I hope those who are against SeaWorld will take the time to actually watch the show prior to making up their minds. Here are some pictures of the show, we had some video but because people are rude, it didn't turn out great. We'll try and get back this summer to hopefully get a better full video of the show. We also took a ride on the awesome Bayside Skyride during our visit and were able to get a nice POV of that as well. The unique jet ski-style car design is the first such coaster design in North America and engages riders in a straddled seating position. The design will allow riders to lean into a series of banked and serpentine turns, and grip the handle bars as they race over air time humps and a pair of high acceleration launches. Reaching heights of up to 61-feet, the majority of the coaster’s 2,600-foot track will be directly over water, creating the sensation that riders are racing across the park’s Ski Lake.
