Last Friday I made a quick stop at SeaWorld San Diego to check out Howl-O-Scream Prep and see if anything was new on Emperor.  Before the SeaWorld stuff though, if you're ever down in the Kearny Mesa area, you need to treat yo-self to some amazing Ice Cream. Perfect treat!  Howl-O-Scream is now hiring, scan the code!   Bier Fest is still going on for a few more weekends! And even the first weekend of Howl-O-Scream! Beer during the day, Screams at night!  Who am I to turn down a 10 minute wait for a coaster that ended up being about a 1 minute wait.  A look at Emperor, cannot wait to ride this! I love B&M Dive Coasters!  Howl-O-Scream prep near Wild Arctic!  You know, as a blogger I should know where all the mazes are being constructed, but this was the only one I could find.  I must have sat here for 2-3 minutes waiting for this fake bird to move. Lol.  I of course had to see my Penguins!  And the sharks! Be warned, the moving sidewalk isn't working in here, and people just stop in the tube, with zero ventilation.  Didn't see much Howl-O-Scream prep going on, but lots of Halloween Spooktacular prep is being done!     This could maybe be for Howl-O-Scream?   The trains for Tidal Twister are now completely gone.  It's been reported that they are working to get the ride back up and running, but obviously it won't be anytime soon.    Before I headed out I of course had to take a ride on Manta! It's so good.  Alright everybody, that's a wrap from SeaWorld San Diego. Unfortunately we won't be going to Howl-O-Scream on opening weekend, but will be there the first weekend in October! Related Updates  A few months ago I went to SeaWorld San Diego for their Seven Seas Food Festival. While I did enjoy the day, and have some great food, the overall experience left me a bit frustrated. This past week we were invited out to the park to experience Electric Ocean and enjoy a day at the park. This time I took my daughter with me for a fun day. There were still some issues with the day, but I'm happy to say that they are "getting there", while not fully back up to full speed. As for Electric Ocean, it's amazing, as you'll see below. Happy reading! Written by Gregg Condon  Welcome to SeaWorld San Diego   The Submarine ride is now completely gone, and they are advertising their events for the rest of the year. Including Howl-O-Scream.  After looking for/waiting for food for over an hour, we had a visitor for our late lunch. Food service is definitely one thing the park needs to concentrate on. Only the 3 main restaurants were open, and not much else. In addition, they were all staffed very low.   Hey Manta!  We took in the Sea Lion show, always a favorite, but it does need an update.   The Shark Encouter is great as always   They should do a Howl-O-Scream maze down here  Later in the afternoon, the park really died down and it was great being able to just walk around and spend some time admirinig the animals     Remember when you used to be able to get closer to the dolphins, until people ruined it?   Somebody should get fired for this  Hi again Manta!  We had a fun ride on the Bayside Skyride! Always a favorite!   Not sure if this guy was in a timeout or what   Remember when you used to be able to feed the Sea Lions directly until people ruined it?    What's up dude!
 It's winter time for the Penguins, so not a whole lot of quality pics in here.    One of these days I'll get one them to jump in my bag! (just kidding SeaWorld)  As crowds continued to die down, we had Wild Arctic pretty much to ourselves!  Hey Emperor! Hopefully we will get to ride you soon!   This Beluga was posing for us!    A few sunset pics of Atlantis and Electric Eel   Atlantis had the longest wait all day, and wasn't included in the Quick Queue we bought. Oops.  The new Cirque Neon World was absolutely fantastic!    Some really great Electric Ocean lighting all around the park.  We did finally get on Atlantis just before the park closed.  Thanks again to SeaWorld for having us out, we had a great time and can't wait to come back for Howl-O-Scream. They definitely are slowly but surely getting back up to full speed, with the food locations needing to ramp back up capacity sooner rather than later. Hopefully they had more people working on the weekends. The park is looking great, and Electric Ocean isn't to be missed! Related Videos
Related Updates I'm down in San Diego for a few days visiting my sister so I thought it'd be a great idea to head out on the trails around mission bay and see if I could get some pics/video of SeaWorld. Written by Gregg Condon Heading to the park area via the trails around Mission Bay. If you're ever vacationing down here they are really great.  Heading towards the park via the Boat Ramp off SeaWorld Drive.  Don't think that truck is carrying anything for the park, but you never know.  And there it is, Emperor.  The track is definitely done, obviously we can't get in to see what's going with the themeing, station, etc.    Walking around to the front end of the park.   A clear shot of Journey to Atlantis. And sure, I could have walked up there and gotten closer pictures, but I didn't really want to chance it.  A very empty parking lot. It was bizarre.  Thanks for reading/watching. Hopefully soon we'll be able to actually venture inside the park and get some rides on Emperor. Also, the reason I've been coming to San Diego so much lately. My sister was just diagnosed with terminal stage 4 bone cancer. Since we just met a few years ago for the first time, we've been trying to hang out as much as we can. And these past few days have been AMAZING! She's set up a GoFundMe for a cross country RV trip. I'll be joining her on this trip when I can, and she's going to be documenting her travels.
