In honor of this significant anniversary, guests will enjoy the debut of the brand-new musical show, Let’s Celebrate, and the limited-time exhibit, “The Life and Art of Charles M. Schulz.” And as they do every year, Snoopy and the PEANUTS Gang will stage a park takeover with plenty of excitement and family-friendly fun running weekends from February 8 through March 9. Guests will also experience a fun lineup of returning shows and photo ops inspired by the iconic PEANUTS comic strip. Throughout the park, guests will have several chances to play and interact with their favorite PEANUTS characters.

At Calico's Town Hall, guests will enter a new, limited-time exhibit dedicated to “The Life and Art of Charles M. Snoopy, Charlie Brown and all their friends, as well as a host of singers and dancers, remind us why Peanuts is still beloved after 75 years! The Calico Mine Stage will transform at nightfall as the park hosts Snoopy's Legendary Rooftop Concert where the Peanuts gang and the indie band, The Jelly of the Month Club, perform a high-energy spectacle sure to have everyone dancing.

The PEANUTS-inspired festivities will continue at the Bird Cage Theatre, where the park offers an experience that teaches the young and the young at heart how to draw their favorite PEANUTS characters. The PEANUTS Sketch School will include our resident art teacher, who will provide step-by-step instructions on creating the perfect PEANUTS masterpiece.

A western escapade occurs with Franklin and Linus at Calico Park as they transform into cowboys in the PEANUTS Cowboy Jamboree. The boys want to challenge guests with some of Calico's root-toot-tootiest games. Also in Ghost Town is Pigpen's Pig Pen, where everyone's favorite messy pal will join the rest of the Peanuts gang as he hosts a special meetup at the Livery Stables with some animal friends.

A gentle reminder regarding attraction closures …

A gentle reminder to Thoosies/enthusia**es, etc.
    Written by RD Dewberry

1.) The parks do NOT have to get your permission or blessing to remove a ride.

2.) Zimmerman is NOT the anti-Christ of the park world.

3.) Rides get old, they wear out, their lifespan comes to an end. Unless you're willing to plunk down more than three or four times what the ride was new to keep it going, it's going to be old & get removed.
4.) Older coasters require a LOT of MONEY to keep running. In many cases, that brand new coaster they're getting will be far less to operate and to keep running. Obsolete coasters from obsolete manufacturers are going to cost even more to get parts.

5.) The parks do not have to ask your permission or blessings for approval of their decisions. They DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR THOUGHTS OR REQUIRE YOUR BLESSINGS. You're not that important. Deflate your egos.
6.) Progress sometimes comes at a cost. The cost in this current era are some attractions that, let's face it, should have never been built, or were ego-runs for a title. Realistically, their time is over. Going for records for rides rarely last - unless it's the Beast at KI, which is god-like and deserves it.

7.) Get over yourselves and your egos for a minute & realize this: Parks are now at an era where massive changes are going to go on for the future of their park, and to keep themselves employed and for that matter, making money. Your petition to preserve a POS attraction just makes you look petty & childish. Grow up.

8.) The manufacturers of this world are NOT breaking your door down to hear your ideas for their next product. They are also NOT telling you their top 10 secrets either. Nor are you privy to them. See #7 above.
9.) Remember this always: You are a part of a hobby - and are responsible for your words, your actions & your thoughts. If you don't like a park's decisions, or think they're 100% wrong and you're 100% right, do that park a favor: DON'T GO BACK EVER. Don't like the head of their company? DON'T GO TO THAT COMPANY'S PARKS! See? Easy-peasy! Y'all aren't required to avoid parks, and let's face it: If you're going to complain about everything IN a park, save yourself the frustrations and DON'T GO THERE!

10.) The parks do NOT have to tell you or publish anything that says they are closing or removing a ride in advance. If you love it so much, ride it in the current season knowing that it may not be there in the next. Parks didn't do this until the advent of the internet, you will survive without being told in advance.

    With love & kindness -
    R.D.
