HALLOWEEN HORROR NIGHTS 2022 OVERVIEW Universal Orlando Resort’s Halloween Horror Nights is back for its 31st year with more nights than ever. Running for a record-breaking 43 select nights September 2 through October 31, the world’s premier Halloween event will boast 10 haunted houses, five scare zones and two shows based on everything from horror legends and pop culture heavy-hitters to ghastly original stories that offer a terrifying twist on traditional Halloween haunts - all brought to life in disturbingly immersive experiences that only Halloween Horror Nights could create. All tickets and vacation packages are on sale now at www.universalorlando.com/halloween. Due to popular demand, event nights are expected to sell out and tickets should be purchased in advance. Those looking for more room to escape the horrors of the event are encouraged to visit on weeknights or in early September. 10 HAUNTED HOUSES (* notates haunted houses also featured at Universal Studios Hollywood's Halloween Horror Nights) The Weeknd: After Hours Nightmare* For the first time ever, multi award-winning artist The Weeknd joins forces with Universal Studios’ Halloween Horror Nights to inspire an all-new, terrifying haunted house based on his record-breaking “After Hours” album. With the eerie sounds of the hit album reverberating throughout the experience, guests will step into a surreal living nightmare in “The Weeknd: After Hours Nightmare” – filled with grotesque characters and themes inspired by the artist’s music and short films. Halloween* John Carpenter’s classic 1978 slasher film Halloween returns to Halloween Horror Nights in a terrifying haunted house – “Halloween” – where guests come face-to-face with the merciless Michael Myers. As guests make their way through his dilapidated home and chilling moments from the film, they’ll narrowly dodge attacks from the knife-wielding Myers as he stalks their every move. Universal Monsters: Legends Collide* Universal Pictures’ most notorious horror icons, The Wolf Man, Dracula and The Mummy, come together for the first time ever in the all-new “Universal Monsters: Legends Collide” haunted house. Guests will get caught in the middle of a bloodthirsty battle between the terrifying trio as they hunt to find the amulet that will break their curse – and they’ll destroy anyone who gets in their way. The Horrors of Blumhouse* Two horror masterpieces come to life in “The Horrors of Blumhouse.” Guests will find themselves trapped between a frantic teen and the ruthless serial killer she’s swapped bodies with in Freaky. Then, they’ll try to make a desperate escape from the dark basement of The Grabber’s “fun” house before they become his latest victim in the terrifying The Black Phone. Spirits of the Coven Guests will be invited to a lively 1920s speakeasy, but something sinister is brewing beneath in “Spirits of the Coven.” A coven of seemingly beautiful flapper witches will lure those who enter into a hidden brewing area. Once they’ve ensnared their victims, they’ll reveal their haggish true form and turn guests into a witch’s brew. They’ll be cackling; everyone else will be screaming. Bugs: Eaten Alive While touring a 1950s home of the future, guests will be swarmed by hordes of revolting insects after a pest control system failure unleashes them. Many-legged horrors, growing, mutating and laying eggs in human hosts will worm their way into the deepest of fears. Those who dare enter will be dropping like flies in “Bugs: Eaten Alive.” Fiesta de Chupacabras The mountains of Latin America are filled with many wonderful traditions. In one tiny village, they pay tribute to the legendary creature Chupacabras with an annual fiesta. In “Fiesta de Chupacabras,” there’s more to the legend than meets the eye. And in this colorful village, the streets are lined with the crimson blood of visitors. Hellblock Horror They too do time for their crimes. In “Hellblock Horror,” guests will have to survive visiting hours in a secret penitentiary that houses treacherous monsters and fiends of all kinds that are hell bent on taking over and destroying the world. The interdimensional power core containing the inmates has failed and the monsters are breaking out of their cells, allowing them easy access to guests, and the exit. Dead Man’s Pier: Winter’s Wake There’s nothing charming about this ghostly New England fishing village. A phantom sea captain is summoning undead fishermen from their watery grave, a grisly crew with rotting, barnacle-encrusted bodies. Guests may have escaped their hooks in the “Dead Man’s Wharf” scare zone in 2016 – now they’d better batten down the hatches before they’re reeled in and drug under in “Dead Man’s Pier: Winter’s Wake.” Descendants of Destruction Deep in the subway tunnels below an abandoned, toxic city, mutated humans fight for survival in “Descendants of Destruction.” The deeper one goes, the darker their fate. In the fading light of the poisoned depths, hideous creatures who’ve long ago left their humanity behind prey on all who try to make their way through the darkness. FIVE SCARE ZONES Horrors of Halloween The Pumpkin Lord, the spirit of Halloween, has returned to take over this year’s event, summoning hordes of fiendish creatures including demons, ghosts and witches. Terror has taken root. Scarecrow: Cursed Soil At an abandoned farm, scarecrow sentinels have risen from the crust of the earth to hunt souls and seek revenge. They’ll harvest the screams of those who dare enter this dilapidated barn. Sweet Revenge The sweets from Major Sweets’ candy company have turned these 1950s kids into crazed killers. With pint-sized costumed maniacs roaming the streets, Halloween will be a night of trick or treat mayhem. Graveyard: Deadly Unrest On All Hallow’s Eve, a dark storm descends upon a cemetery and awakens long-dead spirits. These specters rise from their graves to capture souls for all eternity. No one living can escape them. Conjure the Dark An evil sorceress has entered twisted stone ruins and called forth monstrosities from dark dimensions. This Halloween, blood will feed her army of the night. TWO LIVE SHOWS Halloween Nightmare Fuel Wildfire The show that sparked a firestorm last year is ablaze with a new nightmare. Guests can get fired up to the beat of metal, rock and electronica as pyro and aerial performers return to reignite fears. Ghoulish! A Halloween Tale As darkness falls, a ghost story becomes reality as guests go beyond the grave in a spectacularly spooky show on Universal Studios’ lagoon, featuring huge water screens and sinister music. Disneyland has announced renewals for Magic Key's (the new Annual Pass Program that rolled out last year). Along with the expected changes to this program such as price increases, there are also some new things. For example, the Dream Key has been discontinued and in it's place is the all new Inspire Key ($200 more than the Dream Key). The Inspire Key (unlike the Dream Key) is very clear and up-front about blackout days and reservations. Here's a breakdown:
Below is a look at the updated Magic Key options: Additional Details:

With the opening of Emperor this past March, the park now has five unique coasters that each provide something special for every type of thrill seeker, plus a variety of family-friendly and fun rides for guests of all ages to enjoy. The best way to enjoy all the rides again and again is with a SeaWorld San Diego 2023 Fun Card. Starting today, guests can purchase Fun Cards for an unbeatable price of $99.99, and get unlimited admission for 2023, plus free admission for the remainder of 2022. A Coaster for Every Type of Rider SeaWorld San Diego touts the name Coaster Capital of San Diego with five roller coasters for guests to enjoy –Emperor, Electric Eel, Manta, Journey to Atlantis and Tidal Twister. Whether guests are looking for a family coaster, high-thrills, or a quick way to cool off, the park has a coaster for everyone. SeaWorld San Diego’s newest coaster, Emperor, is the tallest, fastest, and longest floorless dive coaster in California. Riders are suspended on a 45-degree angle before plunging down a 143-foot facedown vertical drop, accelerating more than 60 miles per hour into exhilarating loops, a tribute to emperor penguins’ amazing underwater diving abilities. Named after the Emperor penguin and its dive capability, SeaWorld partnered with Penguins International, an organization dedicated to penguin conservation and research that will focus on penguin awareness and the conservation needs of this special aquatic bird, to help spread the word. Since opening five months ago, Emperor has averaged 100,000 rides per month and is now quickly approaching its 500,000th ride. The lucky 500,000th rider will receive a free single-ride Quick Queue* for every visit for the remainder of the year. Electric Eel is San Diego’s tallest and fastest roller coaster. Featuring multiple-launch experiences, Electric Eel propels riders forward and backward as they speed through the ride’s station house accelerating to more than 60 miles per hour in seconds. Riders then rocket skyward nearly 150 feet where they brave an inverted “heartline” roll and a twisting loop for an exciting feeling of airtime as riders crest the top before breathlessly returning to the station. The ride features educational signage related to the ride’s namesake, the moray eel with a moray eel aquarium located next to the entry pathway. For families looking for a thrill, Manta is SeaWorld’s exciting, double-launch family coaster. It features a 54-foot drop and twists and turns that make riders feel like they’re soaring and diving like a manta ray. Located within the ride landscape is a 100,000-gallon aquarium filled with California bat rays, diamond stingrays shovelnose guitarfish, as well as many native fish to the California coast. The reef-themed aquarium includes eight acrylic viewing windows where guests can see marine life above and in front of them, and a shallow above-ground pool where guests touch and feed California bat rays. This hands-on experience allows our guests to make a connection with rays that may inspire them to project this amazing species by cherishing its ocean home, and the environment in general. For those that want to cool off, Journey to Atlantis is a wet and wild water coaster experience on Greek fishing boats. Inspired by one of the sea’s favorite legends, Journey to Atlantis takes riders on an exploration of a lost civilization, where they experience an action adventure with splashing thrills! Eight-passenger boats take riders on their voyage, which includes a splashy, 60-foot plunge into a lake. One of the innovative elements of the ride gives passengers the illusion they’re not moving when actually they’re being elevated nearly eight stories inside the lift tower. The unique dueling roller coaster Tidal Twister features high-speed turns and upside-down twists as the dueling-train roller coaster accelerates to 30 miles per hour, riders twist and bank as if they are riding the tide along a tight, figure-8 track that includes dynamic Zero-G roll at the center section. Two trains holding 16 passengers each load at opposite ends of the figure-8 and cross in the center, with guests facing both forward and backward on the trains. A lower-height requirement of 48 inches makes this attraction a perfect ride for younger guests and families. Tidal Twister is adjacent to touch pools, the perfect location to spotlight SeaWorld’s continuing commitment to conservation awareness and action, focusing on sustainable aquaculture and coral reef protection. Tidal Twister is set to reopen in late August. In addition to the thrills of coasters, guests of all ages can fill their day splashing, swinging, spinning, and enjoying many of the family-friendly rides located throughout the park. Fan-favorites and SeaWorld landmarks, Skytower and Bayside Skyride take passengers high above SeaWorld for beautiful views of Mission Bay. Guests can opt to make a splash and cool off on Shipwreck Rapids or spin round and round on Riptide Rescue. For kid-friendly fun, families are invited to enjoy Tentacle Twirl, Sea Dragon Drop, Octarock and Aqua Scout, plus Elmo's Flying Fish, Oscar’s Rockin’ Eel, and Abby’s Sea Star Spin located in Sesame Street® Bay of Play!
