At the ceremony, 9-year-old Amor Bastidas, who’s younger brother is being treated for a brain tumor at Rady Children’s Hospital, helped accept a $50,000 donation to Ronald McDonald House Charities on behalf of Elliott, Niven, and Williams from LEGOLAND California. Bastidas and her family stay at San Diego’s Ronald McDonald House when they travel from Imperial Valley to San Diego for her brother’s treatments. Ronald McDonald House Charities provides “a home away from home” to families who have a critically ill or injured child in a nearby local hospital and keeps them close to one another during a medical crisis.
