South Bay Shores reopened in 2021 to a great public response. The $30 million renovations expanded the waterpark to a full 15 acres. The improvements allow guests to be immersed in a completely transformed waterpark experience that features seven new water attractions including four drop slides, two tube slides and a new lagoon area that is perfect for families with small children. Upgraded food options are also popular additions including the Pier 76 restaurant which is already famous for its funnel cake-battered shrimp. Upgraded cabanas and a grassy play area complete the experience – all richly themed to reflect the excitement and fun of the Northern California coast and South Bay regions.
