CARLSBAD, CA. (March 18, 2022) – Victory! LEGOLAND® California Resort scores its biggest touchdown ever with its newest addition of a world record-breaking LEGO® model of SoFi Sofi Stadium. Inspired by the NFL’s first indoor-outdoor stadium and home to Super Bowl LVI Champions, the Los Angeles Rams, the SoFi Stadium LEGO model is the first addition to the Park’s Miniland U.S.A. in more than two years. The massive LEGO structure joins other top Southern California attractions featured in LEGO form, including Griffith Park Observatory, Hollywood Bowl and Grauman’s Chinese Theatre. An architectural marvel that took a team of 25 dedicated Master Model Builders more than 6,000 hours and more than 500,000 LEGO® bricks to build, the final SoFi Stadium model stands at more than 30 feet long, 15 feet wide and over 4 feet tall. It’s currently considered the largest LEGO® stadium in the world. Due to its impressive size, Miniland’s newest model arrived at LEGOLAND Resort in more than 60 pieces and was assembled on site. Designed to highlight the real-life venue’s sold-out events, more than 3,000 Minilanders are seated inside the Stadium to catch the day’s big game or concert. The structure’s most notable feature is the roof, which features more than 3,500 pounds worth of LEGO. More than a dozen members of the LEGOLAND Model Shop team completed the final installation of the model, which took place over the course of four days. Inside the SoFi Stadium model, families will have fun pointing out Minilander versions of this year’s Super Bowl championship team, as the game played on the field in Miniland reflects the Los Angeles Rams’ starting roster. Don’t be surprised if a famous Minilander musician also makes an appearance, further highlighting the incredibly talented artists who will be performing at SoFi Stadium throughout the year. To celebrate the grand opening of the stadium next week, Aaron Donald, defensive tackle for the Los Angeles Rams, and members of the Los Angeles Rams Cheerleaders will visit LEGOLAND California Resort for special opening day festivities. A Miniland U.S.A. experience is included in the price of admission to LEGOLAND® California Resort.
